Numbers 1
1 The Lord spake againe vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the first day of the second moneth, in the second yere after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
El Señor le habló a Moisés en el Tabernáculo de Reunión mientras estaban en el desierto del Sinaí. Esto fue el primer día del segundo mes, dos años después de que los israelitas salieran de Egipto. Le dijo:
2 Take ye the summe of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, and housholdes of their fathers with the nomber of their names: to wit, all the males, man by man:
“Censen a todos los israelitas según su tribu y su familia. Cuenten a cada hombre y mantengan un registro del nombre de cada uno.
3 From twentie yere olde and aboue, all that go forth to the warre in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them, throughout their armies.
Tú y Aarón deberán registrar a todos los mayores de veinte años que sean aptos para prestar el servicio militar según sus divisiones en el ejército israelita.
4 And with you shalbe men of euery tribe, such as are the heads of the house of their fathers.
Para ayudarlos habrá estar con ustedes un representante de cada tribu, que es el jefe de cada familia:
5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the sonne of Shedeur:
“Estos son los nombres de los hombres que trabajarán con ustedes: De la tribu de Rubén, Elisur, hijo de Sedeur;
6 Of Simeon, Shelumiel the sonne of Zurishaddai:
de la tribu de Simeón, Selumiel, hijo de Zurisadai;
7 Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:
de la tribu de Judá, Naasón, hijo de Aminadab;
8 Of Issachar, Nethaneel, the sonne of Zuar:
de la tribu de Isacar, Nataanel, hijo de Zuar;
9 Of Zebulun, Eliab, the sonne of Helon:
de la tribu de Zabulón, Eliab, hijo de Helón;
10 Of the children of Ioseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the sonne of Ammihud: of Manasseh, Gamliel, the sonne of Pedahzur:
de los hijos de José: de la tribu de Efraín, Elisama, hijo de Amihud; y de la tribu de Manasés, Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur;
11 Of Beiamin, Abida the sonne of Gideoni:
de la tribu de Benjamín, Abidán, hijo de Gedeoni;
12 Of Dan, Ahiezer, the sonne of Ammishaddai:
de la tribu de Dan, Ajiezer, hijo de Amisadai;
13 Of Asher, Pagiel, the sonne of Ocran:
de la tribu de Aser, Pagiel, hijo de Ocrán;
14 Of Gad, Eliasaph, the sonne of Deuel:
de la tribu de Gad, Eliasaf, hijo de Deuel;
15 Of Naphtali, Ahira the sonne of Enan.
y de la tribu de Neftalí, Ahira, hijo de Enán”.
16 These were famous in the Congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, and heads ouer thousands in Israel.
Estos fueron los hombres elegidos de la comunidad israelita. Eran los jefes de las tribus de sus padres; los jefes de las familias de Israel.
17 The Moses and Aaron tooke these men which are expressed by their names.
Moisés y Aarón convocaron a estos hombres que habían sido seleccionados por nombre.
18 And they called all the Congregation together, in the first day of the second moneth, who declared their kindreds by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, man by man.
Hicieron que todos los israelitas se reunieran el primer día del segundo mes, y registraron la genealogía del pueblo según su tribu y familia, y contaron los nombres de todos los que tenían veinte años o más,
19 As the Lord had commanded Moses, so he nombred them in the wildernesse of Sinai.
como el Señor le había dicho a Moisés que hiciera. Moisés llevó a cabo este censo en el desierto del Sinaí.
20 So were the sonnes of Reuben Israels eldest sonne by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, man by man euery male from twentie yere olde and aboue, as many as went forth to warre:
Los descendientes de Rubén, (que era el hijo primogénito de Israel), hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y familias. Y todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército
21 The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Reuben, was sixe and fourtie thousande, and fiue hundreth.
n la tribu de Rubén sumaron 46.500.
22 Of the sonnes of Simeon by their generatios, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, the summe therof by the nomber of their names, man by man, euery male from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Los descendientes de Simeón, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
23 The summe of them, I say, of the tribe of Simeon was nine and fiftie thousande, and three hundreth.
de la tribu de Simeón, sumaron 59.300.
24 Of the sonnes of Gad by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Los descendientes de Gad, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
25 The number of them, I say, of the tribe of Gad was fiue and fourtie thousand, and six hundreth and fiftie.
de la tribu de Gad, sumaron 45.650.
26 Of the sonnes of Iudah by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Los descendientes de Judá, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres inscritos, que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
27 The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Iudah was three score and fourteene thousande, and sixe hundreth.
de la tribu de Judá, sumaron 74.600.
28 Of the sonnes of Issachar by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Los descendientes de Isacar, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres inscritos que eran aptos para servir en el ejército,
29 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Issachar was foure and fiftie thousande and foure hundreth.
de la tribu de Isacar, sumaron 54.400.
30 Of the sonnes of Zebulun by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Los descendientes de Zabulón, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres inscritos que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
31 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Zebulun was seuen and fiftie thousand and foure hundreth.
de la tribu de Zabulón, sumaron 57.400.
32 Of the sonnes of Ioseph, namely of the sonnes of Ephraim by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Los descendientes de José: los descendientes de Efraín, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército
33 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Ephraim was fourtie thousande and fiue hundreth.
de la tribu de Efraín, sumaron 40.500.
34 Of the sonnes of Manasseh by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Y los descendientes de Manasés, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército
35 The nober of the also of ye tribe of Manasseh was two and thirtie thousand and two hundreth.
de la tribu de Manasés, sumaron 32.200.
36 Of the sonnes of Beniamin by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Los descendientes de Benjamín, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
37 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Beniamin was fiue and thirtie thousande and foure hundreth.
de la tribu de Benjamín, totalizaban 35.400.
38 Of the sonnes of Dan by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Los descendientes de Dan, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres registrados que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
39 The nomber of the also of ye tribe of Dan was three score and two thousand and seue hudreth.
de la tribu de Dan, sumaron 62.700.
40 Of the sonnes of Asher by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Los descendientes de Aser, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres inscritos que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
41 The nomber of them also of ye tribe of Asher was one and fourtie thousand and fiue hudreth.
de la tribu de Aser, sumaron 41.500.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre:
Los descendientes de Neftalí, hombres de veinte años o más, fueron registrados por nombre según los registros genealógicos de su tribu y sus familias. Todos los hombres inscritos que estaban aptos para servir en el ejército,
43 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Naphtali, was three and fiftie thousand, and foure hundreth.
de la tribu de Neftalí, sumaron 53.400.
44 These are the summes which Moses, and Aaron nombred, and the Princes of Israel, the twelue men, which were euery one for the house of their fathers.
Estos fueron los totales de los hombres contados y registrados por Moisés y Aarón, con la ayuda de los doce líderes de Israel, que representaban cada uno a su familia.
45 So this was all the summe of the sonnes of Israel, by the houses of their fathers, from twenty yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre in Israel,
De esta manera, todos los hombres israelitas de veinte años o más que pudieron servir en el ejército de Israel fueron registrados según sus familias.
46 And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.
La suma total de los registrados fue de 603.550.
47 But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.
Sin embargo, los levitas no estaban registrados con los demás según su tribu y sus familias.
48 For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,
Esto se debió a que el Señor le había dicho a Moisés:
49 Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:
“No registres la tribu de Leví, ni los cuentes en el censo con los otros israelitas.
50 But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.
Pon a los levitas a cargo del Tabernáculo y del Testimonio, así como de todo su mobiliario y de todo lo que hay en él. Ellos serán los responsables de llevar el Tabernáculo y todos sus artículos. Deben cuidarlo, y hacer su campamento alrededor de él.
51 And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.
Cuando llegue el momento de trasladar el Tabernáculo, los levitas lo bajarán, y cuando llegue el momento de acampar, los levitas lo levantarán. Cualquier forastero que se acerque al Tabernáculo debe ser condenado a muerte.
52 Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.
Los israelitas acamparán por tribus, cada uno estará en su propio campamento, bajo su propia bandera.
53 But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.
Pero los levitas deben levantar su campamento alrededor del Tabernáculo del Testimonio para evitar que alguien me haga enojar con los israelitas. Los levitas son responsables de cuidar el Tabernáculo del Testimonio”.
54 So the children of Israel did according to all that ye Lord had comanded Moses: so did they.
Los israelitas hicieron todo lo que el Señor les ordenó a través de Moisés.
