1 The Lord spake againe vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the first day of the second moneth, in the second yere after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
Mungu alimwambia Musa katika hema ya kukutania walipokuwa katika jangwa la Sinai. Hii ilitokea katika siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa pili miaka miwili baadaya Waisraeli kutoka nchi ya Misri. Mungu alisema,
2 Take ye the summe of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, and housholdes of their fathers with the nomber of their names: to wit, all the males, man by man:
'fanya sensa ya wanaume wote wa Israel kutoka kila ukoo, katika familia za baba zao. Wahesabu kwa majina, wahesabu kila mume, kila mwanamume
3 From twentie yere olde and aboue, all that go forth to the warre in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them, throughout their armies.
kuanzia umri a miaka ishirini na zaidi. Uwahesabu wote wanaoweza kupigana kama askari wa Israel. Wewe na Haruni mtaandika idadi ya wanaume katika makundi ya majeshi yao.
4 And with you shalbe men of euery tribe, such as are the heads of the house of their fathers.
Kila mwanamume kwa kila kabila, kichwa cha ukoo, lazima atumike na wewe kama kiongozi wa kabila.
5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the sonne of Shedeur:
Haya ndiyo majina ya viongozi ambao watapigana pamoja na wewe: Kutoka kabila la Reubeni, Elizuri mwana wa Shedeuri;
6 Of Simeon, Shelumiel the sonne of Zurishaddai:
kutoka kabila la Simeoni, Shelumiel mwana wa Zurishadai
7 Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:
Kutoka kabila la Yuda, Nashoni mwana wa Aminadabu;
8 Of Issachar, Nethaneel, the sonne of Zuar:
Ktoka kabila la Isakari, Nethaneli mwana wa Zuari;
9 Of Zebulun, Eliab, the sonne of Helon:
kutoka kabila Zebuluni, Eliabu mwana wa Heloni
10 Of the children of Ioseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the sonne of Ammihud: of Manasseh, Gamliel, the sonne of Pedahzur:
kutoka kabila la Efraimu mwana wa Yusufu, Elishama mwana wa Ammihudi; kutoka kabila la Manase, Gamaliel mwan wa Pedazuri;
11 Of Beiamin, Abida the sonne of Gideoni:
kutoka kabila la Benjamini mwana wa Ysufu, Abidani mwan wa Gidion;
12 Of Dan, Ahiezer, the sonne of Ammishaddai:
Kutoka kabila la Dan, Ahizeri mwana wa Amishadai;
13 Of Asher, Pagiel, the sonne of Ocran:
kutoka kabila Asheri, Pagieli mwana wa Okirani;
14 Of Gad, Eliasaph, the sonne of Deuel:
kutoka kabila la Gadi, Eliasafu mwana wa Deuli;
15 Of Naphtali, Ahira the sonne of Enan.
na kutoka kabila la Naftali, Ahira mwana wa Enani.”
16 These were famous in the Congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, and heads ouer thousands in Israel.
Hawa ndio wanaume waliochaguliwa kutoka kwa watu. Waliongoza kabila za mababu zao. Walikuwa viongozi wa koo katika Israel.
17 The Moses and Aaron tooke these men which are expressed by their names.
Musa na Haruni wakawachukua wale wanaume, waliokuwa wameandikwa kwa majina,
18 And they called all the Congregation together, in the first day of the second moneth, who declared their kindreds by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, man by man.
na pamoja na wanaume hao waliwakusanya wanume wote katika siku ya kwanza ya mwezi wa pili. Kisha kila mwanume wa miaka ishirini na zaidi alitambua babu zake. Alitakiwa kutaja koo na famila kutoka katika ukoo.
19 As the Lord had commanded Moses, so he nombred them in the wildernesse of Sinai.
Kisha Musa akaandika hesabu yao huko katika nyika ya Sinai, Kama Mungu alivyokuwa amemwamuru kufanya.
20 So were the sonnes of Reuben Israels eldest sonne by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, man by man euery male from twentie yere olde and aboue, as many as went forth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Reubeni, mtoto wa kwanza wa Israel, yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanamume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini na zaidi wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
21 The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Reuben, was sixe and fourtie thousande, and fiue hundreth.
Waliwahesabu wanaume 46, 000 kutoka ukoo wa Reubeni.
22 Of the sonnes of Simeon by their generatios, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, the summe therof by the nomber of their names, man by man, euery male from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Simeoni yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanamume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini na zaidi au wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutokana na hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
23 The summe of them, I say, of the tribe of Simeon was nine and fiftie thousande, and three hundreth.
Walihesabu wanaume 59, 300 kutoka kabila la Simeoni.
24 Of the sonnes of Gad by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Gadi yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanamume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
25 The number of them, I say, of the tribe of Gad was fiue and fourtie thousand, and six hundreth and fiftie.
Walihesabu wanaume 45, 650 kutoka kabila la Gadi.
26 Of the sonnes of Iudah by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Yuda yalihesabiwa majina yote ya wanaume wenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
27 The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Iudah was three score and fourteene thousande, and sixe hundreth.
walihesabiwa wanume 74, 000 kutoka kabila la Yuda.
28 Of the sonnes of Issachar by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Isakari yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanamume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
29 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Issachar was foure and fiftie thousande and foure hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 54, 000 kutoka kabila la Isakari.
30 Of the sonnes of Zebulun by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Zabuloni yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanamume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
31 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Zebulun was seuen and fiftie thousand and foure hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanume 57, 400 kutoka kabila la Zabuloni.
32 Of the sonnes of Ioseph, namely of the sonnes of Ephraim by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Efraimu mwana wa Yusufu yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanaume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
33 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Ephraim was fourtie thousande and fiue hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 40, 500 kutoka kabila la Efraimu.
34 Of the sonnes of Manasseh by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Manase mwana wa Yusufu yaliheabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanaume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu y a ukoo na familia.
35 The nober of the also of ye tribe of Manasseh was two and thirtie thousand and two hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 32, 000 kutoka kabila la Manase.
36 Of the sonnes of Beniamin by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Benjamini yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanaume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
37 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Beniamin was fiue and thirtie thousande and foure hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 35, 000 kutoka kabila la Benjamini.
38 Of the sonnes of Dan by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Dani yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanaume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na mwenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, Kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
39 The nomber of the also of ye tribe of Dan was three score and two thousand and seue hudreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 62, 000 kutoka kabila la Dani.
40 Of the sonnes of Asher by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
Kutoka uzao wa Asheri yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zadi na mwenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu y a ukoo na familia.
41 The nomber of them also of ye tribe of Asher was one and fourtie thousand and fiue hudreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 41, 500 kutoka ukoo wa Asheri.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre:
Kutoka ukoo wa Naftali yalihesabiwa majina yote ya kila mwanaume mwenye umri wa miaka ishirini au zaidi na mwenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, kutoka kwenye hesabu ya ukoo na familia.
43 The nomber of them also of the tribe of Naphtali, was three and fiftie thousand, and foure hundreth.
Walihesabiwa wanaume 53, 400 kutoka kabila la Naftari
44 These are the summes which Moses, and Aaron nombred, and the Princes of Israel, the twelue men, which were euery one for the house of their fathers.
Musa na Haruni waliwahesabu wanaume wote hawa, pamoja na wale wanaume kumi na wawili waliokuwa wakiongoza yale makabila kumi na mawili ya Israeli.
45 So this was all the summe of the sonnes of Israel, by the houses of their fathers, from twenty yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre in Israel,
Kwa hiyo wanaume wote wa Israeli wenye umri wa miak ishirini au zaidi, wote wenye uwezo wa kwenda vitani, walihesabiwa kutoka kwenye familia zao.
46 And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.
Walihesabu wanaume 603, 550.
47 But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.
Lakini wanaume toka uzao wa Lawi hawakuhesabiwa,
48 For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,
Kwa sababu BWANA alimwambia Musa,
49 Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:
“usiwahesabu wale wa kabila la Lawi wala kuwajumuisha kwenye jumla ya watu wa Israeli.
50 But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.
Badala yake, waagize Walawi kuliangalia hema la amri za agano, na kuangalia mapambo ya hema na vyote vilivyomo. Walawi watalazimika kulibeba hema na lazima wayabebe mapambo ya hema. Lazima waliangalie hema na kuyatengeneza mazingira yake. Wataiangalia masikani na kuzitengeneza kambi zinazolizunguka.
51 And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.
Kila hema litakapotakiwa kuhamishiwa eneo jingine, Walawi ndio watakaolipeleka pale. Na kila hema litakapotakiwa kusimamishwa, Walawi ndio watakao lisimamisha. Na mgeni yeyote atakayelisogelea hema lazima auawe.
52 Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.
Wakati watu wa Israeli watakaposimamisha hema zao, kila mwanaume lazima awe karibu na bango la jeshi lake.
53 But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.
Hata hivyo Walawi lazima waweke hema zao kuizunguka hiyo masikani ya amri za agano ili kwamba hasira yangu isije ikawaka juu ya wana wa Israeli. Walawi lazima wailinde hiyo masikani ya amri za agano.”
54 So the children of Israel did according to all that ye Lord had comanded Moses: so did they.
Wana wa Israeli walifanya yote haya. Walifanya yote ambayo BWANA aliagiza kupitia Musa.
