Matthew 28
1 Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of ye weeke began to dawne, Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie came to see the sepulchre,
Als der Sabbat vorüber war, am ersten Wochentag beim Morgengrauen, kamen Maria Magdalena und die andere Maria, um nach dem Grabe zu sehen.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heauen, and came and rolled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.
Und siehe, da entstand ein starkes Erdbeben; ein Engel des Herrn stieg vom Himmel nieder, trat hinzu, wälzte den Stein hinweg und setzte sich darauf.
3 And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snowe.
Sein Anblick war wie ein Blitz und sein Gewand so weiß wie Schnee.
4 And for feare of him, the keepers were astonied, and became as dead men.
Die Wächter erzitterten aus Furcht vor ihm und wurden leichenblaß.
5 But the Angel answered, and said to the women, Feare ye not: for I know that ye seeke Iesus which was crucified:
Der Engel aber redete die Frauen also an: "Habt keine Furcht. Ich weiß, ihr suchet Jesus, den Gekreuzigten.
6 He is not here, for he is risen; as he saide: come, see the place where the Lord was laid,
Er ist nicht hier; er ist auferstanden, so wie er es gesagt hat. Kommt her und schaut den Ort, wo der Herr gelegen ist.
7 And go quickly, and tel his disciples that he is risen from ye dead: and behold, he goeth before you into Galile: there ye shall see him: loe, I haue told you.
Geht schnell weg und sagt seinen Jüngern, daß er von den Toten auferstanden ist. Seht, ich habe es euch gesagt."
8 So they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with feare and great ioye, and did runne to bring his disciples worde.
Schnell gingen sie vom Grabe weg mit Furcht und doch zugleich mit großer Freude und eilten, diese Botschaft seinen Jüngern zu verkünden.
9 And as they wet to tel his disciples, behold, Iesus also met the, saying, God saue you. And they came, and tooke him by the feete, and worshipped him.
Und siehe, Jesus trat ihnen in den Weg und sprach: "Seid gegrüßt." Sie traten zu ihm hin, umfaßten seine Füße und beteten ihn an.
10 Then said Iesus vnto them, Be not afraide. Goe, and tell my brethren, that they goe into Galile, and there shall they see me.
Darauf sprach Jesus zu ihnen: "Habt keine Furcht. Geht hin und kündet meinen Brüdern, sie sollen nach Galiläa gehen, dort werden sie mich sehen."
11 Nowe when they were gone, beholde, some of the watch came into the citie, and shewed vnto the hie Priestes all ye things that were done.
Sie gingen weiter. Da kamen einige von der Wache in die Stadt und meldeten den Oberpriestern alles, was geschehen war.
12 And they gathered them together with the Elders, and tooke counsell, and gaue large money vnto the souldiers,
Diese kamen mit den Ältesten zusammen und faßten den Beschluß, den Soldaten reichlich Geld zu geben
13 Saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
und den Auftrag: "Sagt aus: 'Seine Jünger sind nachts gekommen und haben ihn gestohlen, als wir schliefen.'
14 And if this matter come before the gouernour to be heard, we will perswade him, and so vse the matter that you shall not neede to care.
Wenn dies dem Statthalter zu Ohren kommen sollte, so werden wir ihn schon beschwichtigen und euch jede Sorge abnehmen."
15 So they tooke the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is noysed among the Iewes vnto this day.
Diese nahmen das Geld und taten, wie sie angeleitet worden waren. Und dieses Gerede hat sich bei den Juden bis auf den heutigen Tag erhalten.
16 Then ye eleuen disciples wet into Galile, into a mountaine, where Iesus had appointed the.
Die elf Jünger aber begaben sich nach Galiläa auf den Berg, wohin sie Jesus befohlen hatte.
17 And when they sawe him, they worshipped him: but some douted.
Als sie ihn sahen, beteten sie ihn an; andere aber waren noch im Zweifel.
18 And Iesus came, and spake vnto them, saying, All power is giuen vnto me, in heauen, and in earth.
Darauf trat Jesus her und sprach zu ihnen: "Mir ist alle Gewalt gegeben im Himmel und auf Erden.
19 Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,
Darum gehet hin und lehret alle Völker: Tauft sie im Namen des Vaters und des Sohnes und des heiligen Geistes
