Leviticus 17
1 And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:
2 Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel, and say vnto them, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,
“Habla a Aarón y a sus hijos y a todos los hijos de Israel, y diles: Esta es la orden que ha dado Yahvé:
3 Whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel that killeth a bullocke, or lambe, or goate in the hoste, or that killeth it out of the hoste,
Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que degüelle res vacuna u oveja o cabra dentro del campamento, o fuera del mismo,
4 And bringeth it not vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation to offer an offring vnto the Lord before the Tabernacle of the Lord, blood shalbe imputed vnto that man: he hath shed blood, wherefore that man shall be cut off from among his people.
sin llevarlos a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, para presentarlo como sacrificio a Yahvé ante la Morada de Yahvé, será considerado reo de sangre. Tal hombre ha derramado sangre y será extirpado de en medio de su pueblo.
5 Therefore the children of Israel shall bring their offrings, which they would offer abroad in the fielde, and present the vnto ye Lord at the doore of the Tabernacle of ye Congregation by ye Priest, and offer them for peace offrings vnto the Lord.
Por lo cual presentarán los hijos de Israel sus víctimas que (hasta ahora) sacrificaban en el campo; los presentarán al sacerdote, para Yahvé, a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, y los ofrecerán como sacrificios pacíficos a Yahvé.
6 Then the Priest shall sprinkle the blood vpon the Altar of the Lord before the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and burne the fat for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.
El sacerdote derramará la sangre sobre el altar de Yahvé, a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión, y quemará el sebo en olor agradable a Yahvé.
7 And they shall no more offer their offerings vnto deuils, after whom they haue gone a whoring: this shalbe an ordinance for euer vnto them in their generations.
De este modo ellos no ofrecerán más sus sacrificios a los demonios, con los cuales están fornicando. Ley perpetua será esta para ellos, de generación en generación.
8 Also thou shalt say vnto them, whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which soiourne among them, that offreth a burnt offring or sacrifice,
Diles, pues: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran en medio de vosotros, que ofrezca holocausto o sacrificio,
9 And bringeth it not vnto ye doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation to offer it vnto the Lord, euen that man shall be cut off from his people.
y no lo traiga a la entrada del Tabernáculo de la Reunión para sacrificarlo en honor de Yahvé, será extirpado de entre su pueblo.
10 Likewise whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that soiourne among them, that eateth any blood, I will euen set my face against that person that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
Si algún hombre de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que moran en medio de vosotros, comiere cualquier clase de sangre, Yo volveré mi rostro contra el que comiere sangre y lo extirparé de en medio de su pueblo;
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I haue giuen it vnto you to offer vpon the altar, to make an atonement for your soules: for this blood shall make an atonement for the soule.
porque la vida de la carne está en la sangre, y Yo os la doy para hacer expiación en el altar por vuestras almas; pues mediante la sangre se hace la expiación de las almas.
12 Therefore I saide vnto ye children of Israel, None of you shall eate blood: neither the stranger that soiourneth among you, shall eate blood.
Por eso mando a los hijos de Israel: Ninguno de vosotros comerá sangre; tampoco coma sangre el extranjero que mora en medio de vosotros.
13 Moreouer whosoeuer he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that soiourne among the, which by hunting taketh any beast or foule that may be eaten, he shall powre out the blood thereof, and couer it with dust:
Todo hombre de la casa de Israel, o de los extranjeros que habitan en medio de ellos, que cazare un animal o un ave que es lícito comer, derramará su sangre y la cubrirá con tierra.
14 For ye life of all flesh is his blood, it is ioyned with his life: therefore I sayd vnto the children of Israel, Ye shall eate the blood of no flesh: for the life of al flesh is the blood thereof: whosoeuer eateth it, shalbe cut off.
Porque la vida de toda carne es su sangre, en esta consiste su vida. Por eso mando a los hijos de Israel: No comeréis la sangre de carne alguna, pues la vida de toda carne es su sangre. Quienquiera la comiere, será exterminado.
15 And euery person that eateth it which dyeth alone, or that which is torne with beastes, whether it be one of the same countrey or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and wash himselfe in water, and be vncleane vnto the euen: after he shalbe cleane.
Quien de vuestra gente o de los extranjeros comiere carne mortecina, o presa (de fieras), lavará sus vestidos, se bañará en agua, y quedará impuro hasta la tarde; después será puro.
16 But if he wash them not, nor wash his flesh, then he shall beare his iniquitie.
Si no los lava ni baña su cuerpo, pagará su iniquidad.”
