Joshua 15

1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.

Taki był los pokolenia synów Judy według ich rodzin: aż do granic Edomu przy pustkowiu Cin na południu sięgał kraniec granicy południowej.

2 And their South border was the salt Sea coast, from the point that looketh Southward.

A ich granica południowa biegła od krańca Morza Słonego, od zatoki zwróconej ku południowi.

3 And it went out on the Southside towarde Maaleth-akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended vp on the Southside vnto Kadesh-barnea, and went along to Hezron, and went vp to Adar, and fet a compasse to Karkaa.

I biegła od południa, ku Maale-Akrabbim, i ciągnęła się aż do Cin; a wznosząc się na południu do Kadesz-Barnea, przebiegała do Chesronu, i wznosiła się do Addary, i skręcała do Karka.

4 From thence went it along to Azmon, and reached vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the end of that coast was on the Westside: this shall be your South coast.

Stamtąd przechodziła do Asmon i dochodziła do rzeki Egiptu, a kończyła się przy morzu. Taka będzie wasza granica na południu.

5 Also the Eastborder shalbe the salt Sea, vnto the end of Iorden: and the border on the North quarter from the point of the Sea, and from the end of Iorden.

Granicą zaś od wschodu [było] Morze Słone aż do końca Jordanu, a granica północna była od zatoki morskiej przy ujściu Jordanu.

6 And this border goeth vp to Beth-hogla, and goeth along by ye Northside of Beth-arabah: so the border from thence goeth vp to the stone of Bohan the sonne of Reuben.

Granica ciągnęła się do Bet-Chogla i biegła od północy aż do Bet-Araba; [stamtąd] granica wznosiła się do kamienia Bohana, syna Rubena.

7 Againe this border goeth vp to Debir from the valley of Achor, and Northwarde, turning toward Gilgal, that lyeth before the going vp to Adummim, which is on the Southside of the riuer: also this border goeth vp to the waters of En-shemesh, and endeth at En-rogel.

Następnie granica wznosiła się do Debiru od doliny Akor i zwracała się ku północy do Gilgal leżącego naprzeciw wzniesienia Adummim, [położonego] na południe od rzeki. Dalej granica ciągnęła się do wód En-Szemesz i kończyła się przy En-Rogiel.

8 Then this border goeth vp to the valley of the sonne of Hinnom; on the Southside of the Iebusites: the same is Ierusalem. also this border goeth vp to the top of the mountaine that lyeth before the valley of Hinnom Westward, which is by the end of the valley of ye gyants Northward.

Dalej granica wznosiła się doliną syna Hinnom do stoku Jebusyty od południa, [czyli] do Jerozolimy. Stamtąd wznosiła się na szczyt góry położonej naprzeciw doliny Hinnom na zachodzie i na krańcu doliny Refaimitów na północy.

9 So this border compasseth from the top of the mountaine vnto the fountaine of the water of Nephtoah, and goeth out to the cities of mount Ephron: and this border draweth to Baalah, which is Kiriath-iearim.

Potem granica skręcała od szczytu góry aż do źródła wody Neftoach i biegła aż do miast góry Efron; dalej ciągnęła się do Baala, czyli Kiriat-Jearim.

10 Then this border compasseth from Baalah Westward vnto mount Seir, and goeth along vnto the side of mount Iearim, which is Chesalon on the Northside: so it commeth downe to Bethshemesh, and goeth to Timnah.

Następnie granica skręcała od Baala na zachodzie do góry Seir i przechodziła do zbocza góry Jearim od północy, czyli Kesalon, potem schodziła do Bet-Szemesz i przechodziła do Timny.

11 Also this border goeth out vnto the side of Ekron Northwarde: and this border draweth to Shicron, and goeth along to mount Baalah, and stretcheth vnto Iabneel: and the endes of this coast are to the Sea.

Później granica wychodziła do zbocza Ekronu na północy i skręcała do Szikronu, i przebiegała przez górę Baala; stamtąd wychodziła do Jabneel i kończyła się przy morzu.

12 And the Westborder is to the great Sea: so this border shalbe the bounds of the children of Iudah round about, according to their families.

A granicą zachodnią było Morze Wielkie i jego wybrzeże. Oto granica synów Judy dokoła według ich rodzin.

13 And vnto Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh did Ioshua giue a part among the children of Iudah, as the Lord commanded him, euen Kiriath-arba of the father of Anak, which is Hebron.

Kalebowi zaś, synowi Jefunnego, dał [Jozue] dział pośród synów Judy, jak PAN nakazał Jozuemu, miasto Arba, ojca Anaka, czyli Hebron.

14 And Caleb droue thence three sonnes of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the sonnes of Anak.

I Kaleb wypędził stamtąd trzech synów Anaka: Szeszaja i Achimana, i Talmaja, potomków Anaka.

15 And he went vp thence to the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before time was Kiriath-sepher.

Stamtąd wyruszył przeciwko mieszkańcom Debiru, które dawniej nazywało się Kiriat-Sefer.

16 Then Caleb sayd, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and taketh it, euen to him wil I giue Achsah my daughter to wife.

I Kaleb powiedział: Kto pobije Kiriat-Sefer i zdobędzie je, temu dam swoją córkę Aksę za żonę.

17 And Othniel, the sonne of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb tooke it: and he gaue him Achsah his daughter to wife.

I zdobył je Otniel, syn Kenaza, brata Kaleba; i dał mu swoją córkę Aksę za żonę.

18 And as she went in to him, she moued him, to aske of her father a fielde: and she lighted off her asse, and Caleb sayd vnto her, What wilt thou?

A gdy ona przyszła do niego, namawiała go, aby prosił jej ojca o pole. Kiedy zsiadła z osła, Kaleb zapytał ją: Czego sobie życzysz?

19 Then she answered, Giue me a blessing: for thou hast giuen mee the South countrey: giue me also springs of water. And hee gaue her the springs aboue and the springs beneath.

A [ona] odpowiedziała: Daj mi błogosławieństwo; skoro dałeś mi ziemię południową, daj mi też źródła wód. I dał jej źródła górne i źródła dolne.

20 This shalbe the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Iudah according to their families.

Oto dziedzictwo pokolenia synów Judy według ich rodzin.

21 And the vtmost cities of the tribe of the children of Iudah, toward the coastes of Edom Southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Iagur,

Miastami granicznymi pokolenia synów Judy w stronę granicy Edomu na południu były: Kabseel, Eder, Jagur;

22 And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

Kina, Dimona, Adada;

23 And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

Kedesz, Chasor, Jetnan;

24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,

Zif, Telam, Bealot;

25 And Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hesron (which is Hazor)

Chasor-Chadatta i Keriot-Chesron, czyli Chasor;

26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,

Amam, Szema, Molada;

27 And Hazar, Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-palet,

Hasar-Gadda, Cheszmon, Bet-Pelet;

28 And Hasar-shual, and Beersheba, and Biziothiah,

Chasar-Szual, Beer-Szeba, Biziota;

29 Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,

Baala, Ijjim, Esem;

30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,

Eltolad, Kesil, Chorma;

31 And Ziklag, and Madmanna, and Sansannah,

Siklag, Madmana, Sansanna;

32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twentie and nine with their villages.

Lebaot, Szilchim, Ain i Rimmon. Wszystkich miast było dwadzieścia dziewięć z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

33 In the lowe countrey were Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,

Na nizinie: Esztaol, Sorea, Aszna;

34 And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,

Zanoach, En-Gannim, Tappuach, Enam;

35 Iarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,

Jarmut, Adullam, Soko, Azeka;

36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim: fourteene cities with their villages.

Szaaraim, Aditaim, Gedera i Gederotaim: czternaście miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

37 Zenam, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,

Senan, Chadasza, Migdal-Gad;

38 And Dileam, and Mizpeh, and Ioktheel,

Dilan, Mispe, Jokteel;

39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,

Lakisz, Boskat, Eglon;

40 And Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,

Kabon, Lachmas, Kitlisz;

41 And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah: sixteene cities with their villages.

Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Naama i Makkeda: szesnaście miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

42 Lebnah, and Ether, and Ashan,

Libna, Eter, Aszan;

43 And Iipthtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,

Jeftach, Aszna, Nesib;

44 And Keilah, and Aczib, and Mareshah: nine cities with their villages.

Keila, Akzib i Maresza: dziewięć miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

45 Ekron with her townes and her villages,

Ekron i przyległe do niego miasteczka i wioski;

46 From Ekron, euen vnto the Sea, all that lyeth about Ashdod with their villages.

Od Ekronu aż do morza wszystkie [miasta], które leżą w pobliżu Aszdodu, i przyległe do nich wioski;

47 Ashdod with her townes and her villages: Azzah with her townes and her villages, vnto the riuer of Egypt, and the great Sea was their coast.

Aszdod i przyległe do niego miasteczka i wioski, Gaza i przyległe do niej miasteczka i wioski, aż do rzeki Egiptu i Morza Wielkiego, które jest granicą.

48 And in the mountaines were Shamir, and Iattir, and Socoh,

A w górach: Szamir, Jattir, Soko;

49 And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannath (which is Debir)

Danna, Kiriat-Sanna, czyli Debir;

50 And Anab, and Ashtemoth, and Anim,

Anab, Esztemo, Anim;

51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh: eleuen cities with their villages,

Goszen, Cholon i Gilo: jedenaście miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,

Arab, Duma, Eszan;

53 And Ianum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah,

Janum, Bet-Tappuach, Afeka;

54 And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, (which is Hebron) and Zior: nine cities with their villages.

Chumta, Kiriat-Arba, czyli Hebron, Sijor: dziewięć miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Iuttah,

Maon, Karmel, Zif, Jutta;

56 And Izreel, and Iokdeam, and Zanoah,

Jizreel, Jokdeam, Zanoach;

57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities with their villages.

Kain, Gibea i Timna: dziesięć miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

58 Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,

Chalchul, Bet-Sur, Gedor;

59 And Maarah, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon: sixe cities with their villages.

I Maarat, Bet-Anot i Eltekon: sześć miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

60 Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-iearim, and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.

Kiriat-Baal, czyli Kiriat-Jearim i Rabba: dwa miasta wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

61 In the wildernes were Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

A na pustyni: Bet-Araba, Middin, Sekaka;

62 And Nibshan, and the citie of salt, and Engedi: sixe cities with their villages.

Nibszan, miasto Soli i En-Gedi: sześć miast wraz z przyległymi do nich wioskami.

63 Neuerthelesse, the Iebusites that were the inhabitants of Ierusalem, could not the children of Iudah cast out, but the Iebusites dwell with the children of Iudah at Ierusalem vnto this day.

Lecz Jebusytów, mieszkańców Jerozolimy, synowie Judy nie mogli wypędzić; dlatego Jebusyci mieszkają z synami Judy w Jerozolimie aż do dziś.
