Job 38
1 Then answered the Lord vnto Iob out of the whirle winde, and said,
೧ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಯೋಬನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,
2 Who is this that darkeneth the counsell by wordes without knowledge?
೨“ಅಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಸತ್ಯಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಮಂಕುಮಾಡುವ ಇವನು ಯಾರು?
3 Girde vp nowe thy loynes like a man: I will demande of thee and declare thou vnto me.
೩ಶೂರನಂತೆ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟಿಕೋ; ನಾನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಮಾಡುವೆನು, ನೀನೇ ನನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸು.
4 Where wast thou when I layd the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast vnderstanding,
೪ನಾನು ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಿ? ನೀನು ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಳು.
5 Who hath layde the measures thereof, if thou knowest, or who hath stretched the line ouer it:
೫ಅದರ ಅಳತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದರು? ನೀನೇ ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೂಲುಹಿಡಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof set: or who layed the corner stone thereof:
೬ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರವು ಯಾವುದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡವು? ಅದರ ಮೂಲೆಗಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
7 When the starres of the morning praysed me together, and all the children of God reioyced:
೭ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಉತ್ಸಾಹ ಧ್ವನಿಯೆತ್ತುತ್ತಾ ದೇವಕುಮಾರರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆನಂದ ಘೋಷಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲು,
8 Or who hath shut vp the Sea with doores, when it yssued and came foorth as out of the wombe:
೮ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಭೂಗರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರಲು, ಅದರ ದ್ವಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
9 When I made the cloudes as a couering thereof, and darkenesse as the swadeling bands thereof:
೯ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಿದೆನಲ್ಲವೆ?
10 When I stablished my commandement vpon it, and set barres and doores,
೧೦ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟದ ಮೇರೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗುಳಿ, ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು
11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no farther, and here shall it stay thy proude waues.
೧೧‘ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ತನಕ ಬರಬಹುದು; ಮೀರಿ ಬರಬೇಡ, ನಿನ್ನ ತೆರೆಗಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲೇ ತಡೆಯಾಗುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು.
12 Hast thou commanded the morning since thy dayes? hast thou caused the morning to knowe his place,
೧೨ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಾದರೂ ‘ಅರುಣೋದಯವಾಗಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿರುವೆಯೋ? ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯ ಬೆಳಗಿಗೆ ಇರತಕ್ಕ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದೆಯಾ?
13 That it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
೧೩ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅಂಚುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ದುಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಅದರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಒದರಿಬಿಡು ಎಂದು ಉದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟೆಯಾ?
14 It is turned as clay to facion, and all stand vp as a garment.
೧೪ಮುದ್ರೆ ಒತ್ತಿದ ಜೇಡಿಮಣ್ಣಿನಂತೆ ಬೆಳಗಾಗುವಾಗ ಭೂಮಿಯು ರೂಪ ತಾಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ನೆರಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದ ಉಡಿಗೆಯಂತೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುವವು.
15 And from the wicked their light shall be taken away, and the hie arme shalbe broken.
೧೫ಮತ್ತು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಲ್ಲವಾಗುವುದು, ಎತ್ತಿದ ಕೈ ಮುರಿಯುವುದು.
16 Hast thou entred into the bottomes of the sea? or hast thou walked to seeke out the depth?
೧೬ಎಂದಾದರೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಗಳೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದೆಯೋ? ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕೆಳಗಣ ಸಾಗರದ ಗುಪ್ತ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದ್ದೀಯೋ?
17 Haue the gates of death bene opened vnto thee? or hast thou seene the gates of the shadowe of death?
೧೭ಮರಣದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೋಚರವಾದವೋ? ಘೋರಾಂಧಕಾರದ ಕದಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆಯಾ?
18 Hast thou perceiued the breadth of the earth? tell if thou knowest all this.
೧೮ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿಸ್ತಾರವನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಸು.
19 Where is the way where light dwelleth? and where is the place of darkenesse,
೧೯ಬೆಳಕಿನ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಾರಿ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಕತ್ತಲಿನ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ?
20 That thou shouldest receiue it in the boundes thereof, and that thou shouldest knowe the paths to the house thereof?
೨೦ನೀನು ಆ ಒಂದೊಂದನ್ನೂ ಅದರದರ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ, ಅವುಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಲ್ಲೆಯಾ?
21 Knewest thou it, because thou wast then borne, and because the nomber of thy dayes is great?
೨೧ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕು; ಆಗಲೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಿಯಲ್ಲವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡದು!
22 Hast thou entred into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seene the treasures of ye haile,
೨೨ನಾನು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ, ಯುದ್ಧಕದನಗಳ ದಿನಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿರುವ,
23 Which I haue hid against the time of trouble, against the day of warre and battell?
೨೩ಹಿಮದ ಭಂಡಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯಾ? ಕಲ್ಮಳೆಯ ಬೊಕ್ಕಸಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀಯಾ?
24 By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the East winde vpon the earth?
೨೪ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಭಾಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ, ಬಿಸಿಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾರ್ಗವೆಲ್ಲಿ?
25 Who hath deuided the spowtes for the raine? or the way for the lightning of ye thunders,
೨೫ನಿರ್ಜನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಮನುಷ್ಯರೇ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಕಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ,
26 To cause it to raine on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernes where there is no man?
೨೬ಹಾಳುಬೀಳಾದ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಹಸಿ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಯಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು,
27 To fulfil the wilde and waste place, and to cause the bud of the herbe to spring forth?
೨೭ಅತಿವೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಪ್ರವಾಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲುವೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಗರ್ಜಿಸುವ ಸಿಡಿಲಿಗೆ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನೂ ಯಾರು ಕಡಿದರು?
28 Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the dewe?
೨೮ಮಳೆಗೆ ತಂದೆಯುಂಟೋ? ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದವನು ಯಾರು?
29 Out of whose wombe came the yee? who hath ingendred the frost of the heauen?
೨೯ಹಿಮದ ಗಡ್ಡೆಯು ಯಾರ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿತು? ಆಕಾಶದ ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಹೆತ್ತರು?
30 The waters are hid as with a stone: and the face of the depth is frosen.
೩೦ನೀರು ಕಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗುವುದು; ಸಾಗರದ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗವೂ ಹೆಪ್ಪುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.
31 Canst thou restraine the sweete influences of the Pleiades? or loose the bandes of Orion?
೩೧ನೀನು ಕೃತ್ತಿಕೆಯ ಸರಪಣಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿದು, ಮೃಗಶಿರದ ಸಂಕೋಲೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವೆಯಾ?
32 Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arcturus with his sonnes?
೩೨ಆಯಾ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ರಾಶಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವೆಯೋ? ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಮಂಡಲ ಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ನಡೆಸುವೆಯಾ?
33 Knowest thou the course of heauen, or canst thou set the rule thereof in the earth?
೩೩ಖಗೋಳದ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ಅದರ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯಾ?
34 Canst thou lift vp thy voice to the cloudes that the aboundance of water may couer thee?
೩೪ಮೋಡಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತೆ ನೀನು ಧ್ವನಿಯೆತ್ತಿದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ, ಹೇರಳವಾದ ನೀರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸುವುದೋ?
35 Canst thou sende the lightenings that they may walke, and say vnto thee, Loe, heere we are?
೩೫ಸಿಡಿಲುಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಂದು, ‘ಇಗೋ, ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ’ ಎನ್ನುವವೋ?
36 Who hath put wisedome in the reines? or who hath giuen the heart vnderstanding?
೩೬ಯಾರು ಕಾರ್ಮುಗಿಲಿಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದರು? ಉತ್ಪಾತಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು?
37 Who can nomber cloudes by wisedome? or who can cause to cease the bottels of heaue,
೩೭ಜ್ಞಾನದಿಂದ ಯಾರು ಮೇಘಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸುವರು? ಆಕಾಶದಲ್ಲಿನ ಬುದ್ದಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮೊಗಚಿಹಾಕಿ,
38 When the earth groweth into hardnesse, and the clottes are fast together?
೩೮ಧೂಳು ಹರಿದು ಒತ್ತಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಹೆಂಟೆಗಳು ಒಂದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆಯೂ ಯಾರು ಮಾಡುವರು?
39 Wilt thou hunt the pray for the lyon? or fill the appetite of the lyons whelpes,
೩೯ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿರುವ ಸಿಂಹಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹಾರ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವೆಯಾ?
40 When they couch in their places, and remaine in the couert to lye in waite?
೪೦ಅವುಗಳು ಗುಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ, ಪೊದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಆಶೆಯನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವೆಯೋ?
41 Who prepareth for the rauen his meate, when his birdes crie vnto God, wandering for lacke of meate?
೪೧ತಮ್ಮ ಮರಿಗಳು, ಗುಟುಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅಲೆಯುತ್ತಾ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುವಾಗ, ಕಾಗೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಒದಗಿಸುವರು?”
