Job 36
1 Elihu also proceeded and sayde,
Do tego przydał Elihu, i rzekł:
2 Suffer me a litle, and I will instruct thee: for I haue yet to speake on Gods behalfe.
Poczekaj mię maluczko, a ukażęć; bo jeszcze mam, cobym za Bogiem mówił.
3 I will fetche my knowledge afarre off, and will attribute righteousnes vnto my Maker.
Zacznę umiejętność moję z daleka, a Stworzycielowi memu przywłaszczę sprawiedliwość.
4 For truely my wordes shall not be false, and he that is perfect in knowledge, speaketh with thee.
Boć zaprawdę bez kłamstwa będą mowy moje, a mąż doskonały w umiejętności jest przed tobą.
5 Behold, the mighty God casteth away none that is mighty and valiant of courage.
Oto Bóg mocny jest, a nie odrzuca nikogo; on jest mocny w sile serca.
6 He mainteineth not the wicked, but he giueth iudgement to the afflicted.
Nie żywi niepobożnego, a u sądu ubogim dopomaga.
7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous, but they are with Kings in ye throne, where he placeth them for euer: thus they are exalted.
Nie odwraca od sprawiedliwego oczów swoich; ale z królmi na stolicy sadza ich na wieki, i bywają wywyższeni.
8 And if they bee bound in fetters and tyed with the cordes of affliction,
A jeźliby byli okowani w pęta, albo uwikłani powrozami utrapienia:
9 Then will he shewe them their worke and their sinnes, because they haue bene proude.
Tedy przez to im oznajmuje sprawy ich, i przestępstwa ich, że się zmocniły;
10 He openeth also their eare to discipline, and commandeth them that they returne from iniquity.
I otwiera im ucho, aby przyjęli karanie, a mówi, aby się nawrócili od nieprawości.
11 If they obey and serue him, they shall end their dayes in prosperity, and their yeres in pleasures.
Jeźli będą posłuszni, a będą mu służyć, dokończą dni swoich w dobrem, a lat swych w rozkoszach.
12 But if they wil not obey, they shall passe by the sworde, and perish without knowledge.
Ale jeźli nie usłuchają, od miecza zejdą, a pomrą bez umiejętności.
13 But the hypocrites of heart increase the wrath: for they call not when he bindeth them.
Bo ludzie obłudnego serca obalają na się gniew, a nie wołają, kiedy ich wiąże.
14 Their soule dyeth in youth, and their life among the whoremongers.
Umrze w młodości dusza ich, a żywot ich między nierządnikami.
15 He deliuereth the poore in his affliction, and openeth their eare in trouble.
Wyrwie utrapionego z utrapienia jego, a otworzy w uciśnieniu ucho jego.
16 Euen so woulde he haue taken thee out of the streight place into a broade place and not shut vp beneath: and that which resteth vpon thy table, had bene full of fat.
Takby i ciebie wyrwał z miejsca ciasnego na przestronne, gdzie niemasz ucisku, a spokojny stół twój byłby pełen tłustości.
17 But thou art ful of the iudgement of the wicked, though iudgement and equitie maintaine all things.
Aleś ty sąd niepobożnego zasłużył, przetoż prawo i sąd będą cię trzymać.
18 For Gods wrath is, least hee should take that away in thine abundance: for no multitude of giftes can deliuer thee.
Zaisteć gniew Boży jest nad tobą; patrzże, aby cię nie poraził plagą wielką, tak, żeby cię nie wybawił żaden okup.
19 Wil he regard thy riches? he regardeth not golde, nor all them that excel in strength.
Izali sobie będzie ważył bogactwa twoje? Zaiste ani złota, ani jakiejkolwiek siły, albo potęgi twojej.
20 Be not carefull in the night, howe he destroyeth the people out of their place.
Nie kwapże się tedy ku nocy, w którą zstępują narody na miejsca swoje.
21 Take thou heede: looke not to iniquitie: for thou hast chosen it rather then affliction.
Strzeż, abyś się nie oglądał na nieprawość, obierając ją sobie nad utrapienia.
22 Beholde, God exalteth by his power: what teacher is like him?
Oto Bóg jest najwyższy w mocy swojej, któż tak nauczyć może jako on?
23 Who hath appointed to him his way? or who can say, Thou hast done wickedly?
Któż mu wymierzył drogę jego? albo kto mu rzecze: Uczyniłeś nieprawość?
24 Remember that thou magnifie his worke, which men behold.
Pamiętajże, abyś wysławiał sprawę jego, której się przypatrują ludzie.
25 All men see it, and men beholde it afarre off.
Wszyscy ludzie widzą ją, a człowiek przypatruje się jej z daleka.
26 Beholde, God is excellent, and we knowe him not, neither can the nomber of his yeres bee searched out.
Oto Bóg jest wielki, a poznać go nie możemy, ani liczba lat jego dościgniona być może.
27 When he restraineth the droppes of water, the rayne powreth down by the vapour thereof,
Bo on wyciąga krople wód, które wylewają z obłoków jego deszcz,
28 Which raine the cloudes do droppe and let fall abundantly vpon man.
Który spuszczają obłoki, a spuszczają na wiele ludzi.
29 Who can know the diuisions of ye clouds and the thunders of his tabernacle?
(Nadto, któż zrozumie rozciągnienie obłoków, i grzmot namiotu jego.
30 Beholde, he spreadeth his light vpon it, and couereth the bottome of the sea.
Jako rozciąga nad nim światłość swoję, a głębokości morskie okrywa?
31 For thereby hee iudgeth the people, and giueth meate abundantly.
Bo przez te rzeczy sądzi narody, i daje pokarm w hojności.
32 He couereth the light with the clouds, and commandeth them to go against it.
Obłokami nakrywa światłość, i rozkazuje jej ukrywać się za obłok następujący.)
33 His companion sheweth him thereof, and there is anger in rising vp.
Daje o nim znać szum jego, także i bydło i para w górę wstępująca.
