Job 29
1 So Iob proceeded and continued his parable, saying,
१अय्यूब ने और भी अपनी गूढ़ बात उठाई और कहा,
2 Oh that I were as in times past, when God preserued me!
२“भला होता, कि मेरी दशा बीते हुए महीनों की सी होती, जिन दिनों में परमेश्वर मेरी रक्षा करता था,
3 When his light shined vpon mine head: and when by his light I walked thorowe the darkenesse,
३जब उसके दीपक का प्रकाश मेरे सिर पर रहता था, और उससे उजियाला पाकर मैं अंधेरे से होकर चलता था।
4 As I was in the dayes of my youth: when Gods prouidence was vpon my tabernacle:
४वे तो मेरी जवानी के दिन थे, जब परमेश्वर की मित्रता मेरे डेरे पर प्रगट होती थी।
5 When the almightie was yet with me, and my children round about me.
५उस समय तक तो सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर मेरे संग रहता था, और मेरे बच्चे मेरे चारों ओर रहते थे।
6 When I washed my pathes with butter, and when the rocke powred me out riuers of oyle:
६तब मैं अपने पैरों को मलाई से धोता था और मेरे पास की चट्टानों से तेल की धाराएँ बहा करती थीं।
7 When I went out to the gate, euen to the iudgement seat, and when I caused them to prepare my seate in the streete.
७जब-जब मैं नगर के फाटक की ओर चलकर खुले स्थान में अपने बैठने का स्थान तैयार करता था,
8 The yong men saw me, and hid themselues, and the aged arose, and stood vp.
८तब-तब जवान मुझे देखकर छिप जाते, और पुरनिये उठकर खड़े हो जाते थे।
9 The princes stayed talke, and layde their hand on their mouth.
९हाकिम लोग भी बोलने से रुक जाते, और हाथ से मुँह मूँदे रहते थे।
10 The voyce of princes was hidde, and their tongue cleaued to the roofe of their mouth.
१०प्रधान लोग चुप रहते थे और उनकी जीभ तालू से सट जाती थी।
11 And when the eare heard me, it blessed me: and when the eye sawe me, it gaue witnesse to me.
११क्योंकि जब कोई मेरा समाचार सुनता, तब वह मुझे धन्य कहता था, और जब कोई मुझे देखता, तब मेरे विषय साक्षी देता था;
12 For I deliuered the poore that cryed, and the fatherlesse, and him that had none to helpe him.
१२क्योंकि मैं दुहाई देनेवाले दीन जन को, और असहाय अनाथ को भी छुड़ाता था।
13 The blessing of him that was ready to perish, came vpon me, and I caused the widowes heart to reioyce.
१३जो नाश होने पर था मुझे आशीर्वाद देता था, और मेरे कारण विधवा आनन्द के मारे गाती थी।
14 I put on iustice, and it couered me: my iudgement was as a robe, and a crowne.
१४मैं धार्मिकता को पहने रहा, और वह मुझे ढांके रहा; मेरा न्याय का काम मेरे लिये बागे और सुन्दर पगड़ी का काम देता था।
15 I was the eyes to the blinde, and I was the feete to the lame.
१५मैं अंधों के लिये आँखें, और लँगड़ों के लिये पाँव ठहरता था।
16 I was a father vnto the poore, and when I knewe not the cause, I sought it out diligently.
१६दरिद्र लोगों का मैं पिता ठहरता था, और जो मेरी पहचान का न था उसके मुकद्दमे का हाल मैं पूछताछ करके जान लेता था।
17 I brake also the chawes of the vnrighteous man, and pluckt the praye out of his teeth.
१७मैं कुटिल मनुष्यों की डाढ़ें तोड़ डालता, और उनका शिकार उनके मुँह से छीनकर बचा लेता था।
18 Then I sayde, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiplie my dayes as the sand.
१८तब मैं सोचता था, ‘मेरे दिन रेतकणों के समान अनगिनत होंगे, और अपने ही बसेरे में मेरा प्राण छूटेगा।
19 For my roote is spread out by the water, and the dewe shall lye vpon my branche.
१९मेरी जड़ जल की ओर फैली, और मेरी डाली पर ओस रात भर पड़ी रहेगी,
20 My glory shall renue towarde me, and my bowe shall be restored in mine hand.
२०मेरी महिमा ज्यों की त्यों बनी रहेगी, और मेरा धनुष मेरे हाथ में सदा नया होता जाएगा।
21 Vnto me men gaue eare, and wayted, and helde their tongue at my counsell.
२१“लोग मेरी ही ओर कान लगाकर ठहरे रहते थे और मेरी सम्मति सुनकर चुप रहते थे।
22 After my wordes they replied not, and my talke dropped vpon them.
२२जब मैं बोल चुकता था, तब वे और कुछ न बोलते थे, मेरी बातें उन पर मेंह के सामान बरसा करती थीं।
23 And they wayted for me, as for the raine, and they opened their mouth as for the latter rayne.
२३जैसे लोग बरसात की, वैसे ही मेरी भी बाट देखते थे; और जैसे बरसात के अन्त की वर्षा के लिये वैसे ही वे मुँह पसारे रहते थे।
24 If I laughed on them, they beleeued it not: neither did they cause the light of my countenance to fall.
२४जब उनको कुछ आशा न रहती थी तब मैं हँसकर उनको प्रसन्न करता था; और कोई मेरे मुँह को बिगाड़ न सकता था।
25 I appoynted out their way, and did sit as chiefe, and dwelt as a King in the army, and like him that comforteth the mourners.
२५मैं उनका मार्ग चुन लेता, और उनमें मुख्य ठहरकर बैठा करता था, और जैसा सेना में राजा या विलाप करनेवालों के बीच शान्तिदाता, वैसा ही मैं रहता था।
