Job 18
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
И отвечал Вилдад Савхеянин и сказал:
2 When will yee make an ende of your words? cause vs to vnderstande, and then wee will speake.
когда же положите вы конец таким речам? обдумайте, и потом будем говорить.
3 Wherefore are wee counted as beastes, and are vile in your sight?
Зачем считаться нам за животных и быть униженными в собственных глазах ваших?
4 Thou art as one that teareth his soule in his anger. Shall the earth bee forsaken for thy sake? or the rocke remoued out of his place?
О ты, раздирающий душу твою в гневе твоем! Неужели для тебя опустеть земле, и скале сдвинуться с места своего?
5 Yea, the light of the wicked shalbe quenched, and the sparke of his fire shall not shine.
Да, свет у беззаконного потухнет, и не останется искры от огня его.
6 The light shalbe darke in his dwelling, and his candle shalbe put out with him.
Померкнет свет в шатре его, и светильник его угаснет над ним.
7 The steps of his strength shalbe restrained, and his owne counsell shall cast him downe.
Сократятся шаги могущества его, и низложит его собственный замысел его,
8 For hee is taken in the net by his feete, and he walketh vpon the snares.
ибо он попадет в сеть своими ногами и по тенетам ходить будет.
9 The grenne shall take him by the heele, and the theefe shall come vpon him.
Петля зацепит за ногу его, и грабитель уловит его.
10 A snare is layed for him in the ground, and a trappe for him in the way.
Скрытно разложены по земле силки для него и западни на дороге.
11 Fearefulnesse shall make him afrayde on euery side, and shall driue him to his feete.
Со всех сторон будут страшить его ужасы и заставят его бросаться туда и сюда.
12 His strength shalbe famine: and destruction shalbe readie at his side.
Истощится от голода сила его, и гибель готова, сбоку у него.
13 It shall deuoure the inner partes of his skinne, and the first borne of death shall deuoure his strength.
Съест члены тела его, съест члены его первенец смерти.
14 His hope shalbe rooted out of his dwelling, and shall cause him to go to the King of feare.
Изгнана будет из шатра его надежда его, и это низведет его к царю ужасов.
15 Feare shall dwell in his house (because it is not his) and brimstone shalbe scattered vpon his habitation.
Поселятся в шатре его, потому что он уже не его; жилище его посыпано будет серою.
16 His rootes shalbe dryed vp beneath, and aboue shall his branche be cut downe.
Снизу подсохнут корни его, и сверху увянут ветви его.
17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall haue no name in the streete.
Память о нем исчезнет с земли, и имени его не будет на площади.
18 They shall driue him out of the light vnto darkenesse, and chase him out of the world.
Изгонят его из света во тьму и сотрут его с лица земли.
19 Hee shall neither haue sonne nor nephewe among his people, nor any posteritie in his dwellings.
Ни сына его, ни внука не будет в народе его, и никого не останется в жилищах его.
20 The posteritie shalbe astonied at his day, and feare shall come vpon the ancient.
О дне его ужаснутся потомки, и современники будут объяты трепетом.
21 Surely such are the habitations of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
Таковы жилища беззаконного, и таково место того, кто не знает Бога.
