Jeremiah 20
1 When Pashur, the sonne of Immer, the Priest, which was appointed gouernour in the house of the Lord, heard that Ieremiah prophecied these things,
೧ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಈ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಇಮ್ಮೇರನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯೂ ಆದ ಪಷ್ಹೂರನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
2 Then Pashur smote Ieremiah the Prophet, and put him in the stockes that were in the hie gate of Beniamin which was by the House of the Lord.
೨ಅವನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಮೇಲಣ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೋಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು.
3 And on the morning, Pashur brought Ieremiah out of the stockes. Then said Ieremiah vnto him, The Lord hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magor-missabib.
೩ಮರುದಿನ ಪಷ್ಹೂರನು ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನನ್ನು ಕೋಳದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಯೆರೆಮೀಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪಷ್ಹೂರ್ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳದೆ ಮಾಗೋರ್ ಮಿಸ್ಸಾಬೀಬ್ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
4 For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will make thee to be a terrour to thy self, and to al thy friends, and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall beholde it, and I will giue all Iudah into the hande of the King of Babel, and he shall cary them captiue into Babel, and shall slay them with the sworde.
೪ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೂ ದಿಗಿಲಿಗಿ ಆಸ್ಪದನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವರು, ನೀನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ಕಾಣುವಿ. ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಡಿಯುವನು.
5 Moreouer, I will deliuer all the substance of this citie, and all the labours thereof, and al the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the Kings of Iudah will I giue into the hande of their enemies, which shall spoyle them, and take them away and cary them to Babel.
೫ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಆದಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸರ ಸಕಲ ನಿಧಿ, ನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈವಶಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅವರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವರು.
6 And thou Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house, shall go into captiuitie, and thou shalt come to Babel, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buryed there, thou and all thy friendes, to whome thou hast prophecied lyes.
೬ಪಷ್ಹೂರನೇ, ನೀನೋ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರೊಡನೆ ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಿ. ನೀನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಿಥ್ಯಾ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಕಲ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೂ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸತ್ತು ಮಣ್ಣಾಗುವಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ನುಡಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
7 O Lord, thou hast deceiued me, and I am deceiued: thou art stronger then I, and hast preuailed: I am in derision daily: euery one mocketh me.
೭ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿದಿ, ನಾನು ಮರುಳಾದೆನು; ನೀನು ನನಗಿಂತ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠನಾಗಿ ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿ; ನಾನು ಹಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗೇಲಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಣಕಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
8 For since I spake, I cryed out of wrong, and proclaimed desolation: therefore the word of the Lord was made a reproche vnto me, and in derision daily.
೮ನಾನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಚಾಟವೇ. “ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ” ಎಂದೇ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಸಾರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಜನರ ದೂಷಣೆಗೂ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿದೆ.
9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speake any more in his Name. But his worde was in mine heart as a burning fire shut vp in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.
೯“ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡರೆ, ಉರಿಯುವ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಕವಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಸಹಿಸಿ ಸಹಿಸಿ ಆಯಾಸಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಇನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಲಾರೆ.
10 For I had heard the railing of many, and feare on euery side. Declare, said they, and wee wil declare it: all my familiars watched for mine halting, saying, It may be that he is deceiued: so we shall preuaile against him, and we shall execute our vengeance vpon him.
೧೦“ಇವನ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂರು ಹೇಳಿರಿ, ನಾವೂ ಹೇಳುವೆವು” ಎಂದು ಬಹು ಜನರು ಗುಸುಗುಟ್ಟುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಸುತ್ತುಮುತ್ತಲೂ ದಿಗಿಲು; ನನ್ನ ಆಪ್ತ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೆಲ್ಲರೂ “ಇವನು ಎಡವಿ ಬೀಳಲಿ” ಎಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಂಚಿನೋಡುತ್ತಾ, “ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದಾನು, ಇವನನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
11 But the Lord is with me like a mightie gyant: therefore my persecuters shall be ouerthrowen, and shall not preuaile, and shalbe greatly confounded: for they haue done vnwisely, and their euerlasting shame shall neuer be forgotten.
೧೧ಯೆಹೋವನಾದರೋ ಭಯಂಕರಶೂರನಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂಸಕರು ಗೆಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸುವರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವು ನೆರವೇರದ ಕಾರಣ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೆ ಈಡಾಗುವರು, ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಯದ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವರು.
12 But, O Lord of hostes, that tryest the righteous, and seest the reines and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for vnto thee haue I opened my cause.
೧೨ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರಿಂದ್ರಿಯವನ್ನೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಶಿಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸುವ ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂಸಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣು ನೋಡಲಿ; ನಿನಗೇ ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನಷ್ಟೆ.
13 Sing vnto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath deliuered the soule of the poore from the hande of the wicked.
೧೩ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸಿರಿ, ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿರಿ; ಆತನು ಕೆಡುಕರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ದೀನನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
14 Cursed be the day wherein I was borne: and let not the day wherein my mother bare me, be blessed.
೧೪ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ದಿನ ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತವಾಗಲಿ, ತಾಯಿಯು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತ ದಿನವು ಅಶುಭವೆನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ!
15 Cursed be the man, that shewed my father, saying, A man child is borne vnto thee, and comforted him.
೧೫“ನಿನಗೆ ಗಂಡುಮಗು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದೆ” ಎಂಬ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕೇವಲ ಆನಂದವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದವನು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ!
16 And let that man be as the cities, which the Lord hath ouerturned and repented not: and let him heare the cry in the morning, and the showting at noone tide,
೧೬ಯೆಹೋವನು ಕನಿಕರಪಡದೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಗತಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿ. ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಚಾಟವು, ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಾಟವು ಅವನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬೀಳಲಿ!
17 Because he hath not slaine me, euen from the wombe, or that my mother might haue bene my graue, or her wobe a perpetual conception.
೧೭ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲೇ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ; ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯೇ ನನಗೆ ಗೋರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು, ಆಕೆಯ ಗರ್ಭವು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಬಸುರಾಗಿಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
18 How is it, that I came forth of the wombe, to see labour and sorowe, that my dayes shoulde be consumed with shame?
೧೮ನಾನು ಶ್ರಮದುಃಖಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ನನ್ನ ಆಯುಸ್ಸು ಅವಮಾನದಿಂದ ಕ್ಷಯಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಗರ್ಭದಿಂದ ಏಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದೆನು?
