Hosea 1
1 The worde of the Lord that came vnto Hosea the sonne of Beeri, in the daies of Vzziah, Iotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah Kings of Iudah, and in the daies of Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash king of Israel.
Parole de Yahweh qui fut adressée à Osée, fils de Béeri, dans les jours d'Ozias, de Joatham, d'Achaz, d'Ezéchias, rois de Juda, et dans les jours de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d'Israël.
2 At the beginning the Lord spake by Hosea, and the Lord said vnto Hosea, Goe, take vnto thee a wife of fornications, and children of fornications: for the lande hath committed great whoredome, departing from the Lord.
Lorsque Yahweh commença à parler à Osée, Yahweh dit à Osée: " Va, prends une femme de prostitution et des enfants de prostitution, car le pays ne fait que se prostituer en abandonnant Yahweh. "
3 So he went, and tooke Gomer, ye daughter of Diblaim, which conceiued and bare him a sonne.
Il alla et prit Gomer, fille de Débelaïm; elle conçut et lui enfanta un fils.
4 And the Lord said vnto him, Cal his name Izreel: for yet a litle, and I will visite the blood of Izreel vpon the house of Iehu, and will cause to cease the kingdome of the house of Israel.
Et Yahweh lui dit: " Nomme-le Jezrahel, car encore un peu de temps et je punirai le sang de Jezrahel sur la maison de Jéhu, et je mettrai fin à la royauté de la maison d'Israël.
5 And at that day will I also breake the bowe of Israel in the valley of Izreel.
En ce jour-là je briserai l'arc d'Israël dans la plaine de Jezrahel. "
6 She conceiued yet againe, and bare a daughter, and God saide vnto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more haue pitie vpon the house of Israel: but I wil vtterly take them away.
Elle conçut encore et enfanta une fille; et Yahweh dit à Osée: " Nomme-la Lô-Ruchama, car je n'aurai plus compassion de la maison d'Israël pour lui pardonner ses péchés.
7 Yet I will haue mercie vpon the house of Iudah, and wil saue them by the Lord their God, and wil not saue them by bow, nor by sword nor by battell, by horses, nor by horsemen.
Mais j'aurai compassion de la maison de Juda, et je les sauverai par Yahweh, leur Dieu; je ne les sauverai ni par l'arc et l'épée, ni par le combat, ni par les chevaux et les cavaliers. "
8 Nowe when she had wained Lo-ruhamah, shee conceiued, and bare a sonne.
Elle sevra Lô-Ruchama; puis elle conçut et enfanta un fils.
9 Then saide God, Call his name Lo-ammi: for yee are not my people: therefore will I not be yours.
Et Yahweh dit à Osée: " Nomme-le Lô-Ammi, car vous n'êtes pas mon peuple, et moi je ne serai pas votre Dieu. "
10 Yet the nomber of the children of Israel shall be as the sande of the sea, which can not be measured nor tolde: and in the place where it was saide vnto them, Yee are not my people, it shall be saide vnto them, Yee are the sonnes of the liuing God.
Le nombre des enfants d'Israël sera comme le sable de la mer, qui ne se mesure, ni ne se compte; et au lieu où on leur disait: " Vous n'êtes pas mon peuple, " on leur dira: " Fils du Dieu vivant!
11 Then shall the children of Iudah, and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint them selues one head, and they shall come vp out of the land: for great is the day of Izreel.
Et les enfants de Juda et les enfants d'Israël se réuniront, ils se donneront un même chef et monteront hors du pays, car grande sera la journée de Jezrahel.
