Genesis 6
1 So when men began to be multiplied vpon the earth, and there were daughters borne vnto them,
१पृथ्वीवरील मनुष्यांची संख्या वाढतच राहिली आणि त्यांना मुली झाल्या,
2 Then the sonnes of God sawe the daughters of men that they were faire, and they tooke them wiues of all that they liked.
२तेव्हा मानवजातीच्या मुली आकर्षक आहेत असे देवपुत्रांनी पाहिले, त्यांच्यापैकी त्यांना ज्या आवडल्या त्या त्यांनी स्त्रिया करून घेतल्या.
3 Therefore the Lord saide, My Spirit shall not alway striue with man, because he is but flesh, and his dayes shalbe an hundreth and twentie yeeres.
३परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “माझा आत्मा मानवामध्ये सर्वकाळ राहणार नाही, कारण ते देह आहेत. ते एकशें वीस वर्षे जगतील.”
4 There were gyants in the earth in those dayes: yea, and after that the sonnes of God came vnto the daughters of men, and they had borne them children, these were mightie men, which in olde time were men of renoume.
४त्या दिवसात आणि त्यानंतरही, महाकाय मानव पृथ्वीवर होते. देवाचे पुत्र मनुष्यांच्या मुलीपाशी गेले, आणि त्यांच्याकडून त्यांना मुले झाली, तेव्हा हे घडले. प्राचीन काळचे जे बलवान, नामांकित पुरूष ते हेच.
5 When the Lord sawe that the wickednesse of man was great in the earth, and all the imaginations of the thoughtes of his heart were onely euill continually,
५पृथ्वीवर मानवजातीची दुष्टता मोठी आहे, आणि त्यांच्या मनात येणाऱ्या विचारातील प्रत्येक कल्पना केवळ एकसारखी वाईट असते, असे परमेश्वराने पाहिले.
6 Then it repented ye Lord, that he had made man in the earth, and he was sorie in his heart.
६म्हणून पृथ्वीवर मनुष्य निर्माण केल्याबद्दल परमेश्वरास वाईट वाटले, आणि तो मनात फार दुःखी झाला.
7 Therefore ye Lord said, I will destroy from the earth the man, whom I haue created, from man to beast, to the creeping thing, and to the foule of the heauen: for I repent that I haue made them.
७म्हणून परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “मी उत्पन्न केलेल्या मानवास पृथ्वीतलावरून नष्ट करीन; तसेच मनुष्य, पशू, सरपटणारे प्राणी, व आकाशातील पक्षी या सर्वांचा मी नाश करीन, कारण या सर्वांना उत्पन्न केल्याचे मला दुःख होत आहे.”
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
८परंतु नोहावर परमेश्वराची कृपादृष्टी झाली.
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a iust and vpright man in his time: and Noah walked with God.
९या नोहासंबंधीच्या घटना आहेत; नोहा आपल्या काळच्या लोकांमध्ये नीतिमान आणि निर्दोष मनुष्य होता. नोहा देवाबरोबर चालला
10 And Noah begate three sonnes, Shem, Ham and Iapheth.
१०नोहाला शेम, हाम व याफेथ नावाचे तीन पुत्र होते.
11 The earth also was corrupt before God: for the earth was filled with crueltie.
११देवाच्या समक्षतेत पृथ्वी भ्रष्ट झालेली होती, आणि हिंसाचाराने भरलेली होती.
12 Then God looked vpon the earth, and beholde, it was corrupt: for all flesh had corrupt his way vpon the earth.
१२देवाने पृथ्वी पाहिली; आणि पाहा, ती भ्रष्ट होती, कारण पृथ्वीवर सर्व प्राण्यांनी आपला मार्ग भ्रष्ट केला होता.
13 And God said vnto Noah, An ende of all flesh is come before me: for the earth is filled with crueltie through them: and beholde, I wil destroy them with the earth.
१३म्हणून देव नोहाला म्हणाला, “मी पाहतो की, सर्व प्राण्यांचा नाश करण्याची वेळ आता आली आहे; कारण त्यांच्यामुळे पृथ्वी अनर्थ हिंसाचाराने भरली आहे. खरोखरच मी पृथ्वीसह त्यांचा नायनाट करीन.”
14 Make thee an Arke of pine trees: thou shalt make cabines in the Arke, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
१४तेव्हा आपणासाठी गोफेर लाकडाचे एक तारू कर; तू त्यामध्ये खोल्या कर आणि त्यास सर्वत्र म्हणजे आतून व बाहेरून डांबर लाव.
15 And thus shalt thou make it: The length of the Arke shalbe three hundreth cubites, the breadth of it fiftie cubites, and the height of it thirtie cubites.
१५देव म्हणाला, “तारवाचे मोजमाप मी सांगतो त्याप्रमाणे असावे. ते तीनशे हात लांब, पन्नास हात रुंद, आणि तीस हात उंच असावे.
16 A windowe shalt thou make in the Arke, and in a cubite shalt thou finish it aboue, and the doore of the Arke shalt thou set in the side thereof: thou shalt make it with the lowe, seconde and third roume.
१६तारवाला छतापासून सुमारे अठरा इंचावर एक खिडकी कर. तारवाच्या एका बाजूस दार ठेव आणि तारवाला खालचा, मधला व वरचा असे तीन मजले कर.
17 And I, beholde, I will bring a flood of waters vpon the earth to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life vnder the heauen: all that is in the earth shall perish.
१७आणि ऐक, आकाशाखाली ज्यांच्यामध्ये जीवनाचा श्वास आहे अशा सर्व देहधाऱ्यांचा नाश करण्यासाठी मी पृथ्वीवर जलप्रलय आणीन. पृथ्वीवर जे सर्व आहे ते मरण पावतील.
18 But with thee will I establish my couenant, and thou shalt goe into the Arke, thou, and thy sonnes, and thy wife, and thy sonnes wiues with thee.
१८मी तुझ्याबरोबर आपला एक करार स्थापीन. तू, तुझ्यासोबत तुझे पुत्र, तुझी पत्नी आणि तुझ्या सुना यांना घेऊन तारवात जाशील.
19 And of euery liuing thing, of all flesh two of euery sort shalt thou cause to come into the Arke, to keepe them aliue with thee: they shalbe male and female.
१९तसेच पृथ्वीवरील प्रत्येक जातीतील सजीव प्राण्यांपैकी दोन-दोन तुझ्याबरोबर जिवंत ठेवण्यासाठी तुझ्याबरोबर तू तारवात ने; ते नर व मादी असावेत.
20 Of the foules, after their kinde, and of the cattell after their kind, of euery creeping thing of the earth after his kinde, two of euery sort shall come vnto thee, that thou mayest keepe them aliue.
२०पक्ष्यांच्या प्रत्येक जातीतून, आणि मोठ्या पशूंच्या प्रत्येक जातीतून आणि भूमीवर रांगणाऱ्या प्राण्यांच्या प्रत्येक जातीतून दोन दोन जिवंत राहण्यासाठी तुझ्याकडे येतील.
21 And take thou with thee of all meate that is eaten: and thou shalt gather it to thee, that it may be meate for thee and for them.
२१तसेच खाण्यात येते असे सर्व प्रकारचे अन्न तुझ्याजवळ आणून ते साठवून ठेव. ते तुला व त्यांना खाण्यासाठी होईल.”
22 Noah therefore did according vnto all, that God commanded him: euen so did he.
२२नोहाने हे सर्व केले. देवाने आज्ञा दिल्याप्रमाणे त्याने सर्वकाही केले.
