Genesis 47
1 Then came Ioseph and tolde Pharaoh, and sayde, My father, and my brethren, and their sheepe, and their cattell, and all that they haue, are come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
Konsa, Joseph te antre pou pale ak Farawon. Li te di: “Papa m avèk frè m yo, bann mouton yo, twoupo yo, avèk tout sa yo posede, te sòti nan peyi Canaan an. Epi gade byen, yo nan peyi Gosen.”
2 And Ioseph tooke part of his brethren, euen fiue men, and presented them vnto Pharaoh.
Li te pran senk mesye pami frè li yo, e li te prezante yo bay Farawon.
3 Then Pharaoh said vnto his brethren, What is your trade? And they answered Pharaoh, Thy seruants are shepheards, both we and our fathers.
Alò, Farawon te di a frè li yo: “Ki metye nou?” Epi yo te di a Farawon: “Sèvitè nou se bèje, ni nou menm, ni zansèt nou yo.”
4 They sayde moreouer vnto Pharaoh, For to soiourne in ye lande are we come: for thy seruants haue no pasture for their sheepe, so sore is ye famine in the lande of Canaan. Nowe therefore, we pray thee, let thy seruants dwel in the land of Goshen.
Yo te di a Farawon: “Nou te vini pou rete tankou etranje nan peyi a, paske nanpwen patiraj pou bann mouton yo paske gwo grangou a rèd nan peyi Canaan. Alò pou sa, souple, kite sèvitè nou yo viv nan peyi Gosen an.”
5 Then spake Pharaoh to Ioseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come vnto thee.
Konsa, Farawon te di a Joseph: “Papa ou avèk frè ou yo te vin kote ou.
6 The lande of Egypt is before thee: in the best place of the land make thy father and thy brethren dwel: let the dwel in the land of Goshen: and if thou knowest that there be men of actiuitie among them, make them rulers ouer my cattell.
Peyi Égypte la devan ou, plase papa ou avèk frè ou yo nan pi bon pòsyon tè a, kite yo viv nan peyi Gosen an. Epi si ou konnen moun ak kapasite pami yo, alò, fè yo responsab bèt mwen yo.”
7 Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh. And Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.
Epi Joseph te mennen papa li, Jacob. Li te prezante li bay Farawon, epi Jacob te beni Farawon.
8 Then Pharaoh sayde vnto Iaakob, Howe olde art thou?
Farawon te di a Jacob: “Konbyen ane ou gen tan viv?”
9 And Iaakob sayd vnto Pharaoh, The whole time of my pilgrimage is an hundreth and thirty yeeres: fewe and euill haue the dayes of my life bene, and I haue not attayned vnto the yeeres of the life of my fathers, in the dayes of their pilgrimages.
Konsa, Jacob te di a Farawon: “Lane lavi m yo sou latè se san-trant. Pa anpil, e degoutan se te ane lavi m yo. Ni yo pa menm fòs avèk lane ke zansèt mwen yo te viv pandan jou lavi pa yo.”
10 And Iaakob tooke leaue of Pharaoh, and departed from the presence of Pharaoh.
Konsa, Jacob te beni Farawon, e li te sòti nan prezans li.
11 And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
Epi Joseph te pozisyone papa li, ak frè li yo e li te bay yo yon teren an Égypte, nan pi bon pati nan peyi a, kote Ramsès la, tankou Farawon te kòmande a.
12 And Ioseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers houshold with bread, euen to the yong children.
Joseph te founi papa li ak frè li yo, avèk tout lakay li avèk manje, selon fòs kantite pitit pa yo.
13 Now there was no bread in all the land: for the famine was exceeding sore: so that the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan were famished by reason of the famine.
Koulye a, pa t gen manje nan tout peyi a, akoz gwo grangou a te tèlman rèd, ke peyi Égypte la ak peyi Canaan an te febli nèt akoz gwo grangou a.
14 And Ioseph gathered all the money, that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corne which they bought, and Ioseph layd vp the money in Pharaohs house.
Joseph te ranmase tout lajan ki te twouve nan peyi Égypte la, ak nan peyi Canaan pou sereyal ke yo te achte a, e Joseph te pote lajan an lakay Farawon.
15 So when money fayled in the lande of Egypt, and in the lande of Canaan, then all the Egyptians came vnto Ioseph, and sayde, Giue vs bread: for why should we dye before thee? for our money is spent.
Lè tout lajan an te fin depanse nan tout peyi Égypte la, ak tout peyi Canaan an, tout Ejipsyen yo te vin vè Joseph, e te di li: “Bannou manje, paske pou ki rezon nou ta dwe mouri nan prezans ou? Paske lajan nou fini.”
16 Then saide Ioseph, Bring your cattell, and I will giue you for your cattell, if your money be spent.
Alò, Joseph te di: “Bay bèt nou yo, e mwen va bannou manje pou bèt yo, paske kòb nou gen tan fini.”
17 So they brought their cattell vnto Ioseph, and Ioseph gaue them bread for the horses, and for the flockes of sheepe, and for the heards of cattel, and for the asses: so he fed them with bread for all their cattell that yeere.
Epi yo te mennen bèt yo kote Joseph, Joseph te bay yo manje an echanj ak cheval ak bann mouton, twoupo ak bourik. Konsa, li te bay yo manje an echanj ak tout bèt pa yo nan ane sa a.
18 But when the yeere was ended, they came vnto him the next yeere, and sayd vnto him, We will not hide from my lord, that since our money is spent, and my lord hath the heards of the cattel, there is nothing left in the sight of my lorde, but our bodies and our ground.
Lè ane sa a te fini, yo te vin kote li nan lane pwochèn, e te di li: “Nou p ap kache a mèt nou ke lajan nou fin depanse, e tout twoupo bèt yo se pou mèt nou. Nanpwen anyen ki rete pou mèt la, sof ke kò nou, ak tè nou yo.
19 Why shall we perish in thy sight, both we, and our land? bye vs and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bonde to Pharaoh: therefore giue vs seede, that we may liue and not dye, and that the land go not to waste.
Poukisa nou ta mouri devan zye ou, ni nou menm, ni tè nou yo? Achte nou menm avèk tè nou yo, e nou va vin esklav a Farawon. Epi bannou semans pou nou ka viv, pou nou pa mouri, e pou tè a pa rete vid.”
20 So Ioseph bought all the lande of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians solde euery man his ground because the famine was sore vpon the: so the land became Pharaohs.
Alò, Joseph te achte tout tè an Égypte yo pou Farawon, e chak Ejipsyen te vann tè li, akoz ke gwo grangou a te rèd sou yo. Konsa, tè a te vin pou Farawon.
21 And he remoued the people vnto the cities, from one side of Egypt euen to the other.
Epi pou pèp la, li te deplase yo pou antre nan vil yo, sòti nan yon pwen fwontyè Égypte la, jis rive nan lòt la.
22 Onely the lande of the Priestes bought he not: for the Priestes had an ordinarie of Pharaoh, and they did eate their ordinarie, which Pharaoh gaue them: wherefore they solde not their grounde.
Se sèl tè prèt yo ke li pa t achte, paske prèt yo te gen yon bous ki te sòti sou Farawon, e yo te viv sou bous ke Farawon te bay yo a. Akoz sa, yo pa t vann tè pa yo a.
23 Then Ioseph sayd vnto the people, Behold, I haue bought you this daye, and your lande for Pharaoh: lo, here is seede for you: sowe therefore the grounde.
Epi Joseph te di a pèp la: “Veye byen, jodi a mwen te achte nou menm avèk tè nou yo pou Farawon. Men semans lan se pou nou, e nou kapab simen nan tè a.
24 And of the encrease ye shall giue the fifth part vnto Pharaoh, and foure partes shalbe yours for the seede of the fielde, and for your meate, and for them of your housholdes, and for your children to eate.
Nan rekòlt la, nou va bay yon senkyèm a Farawon, e kat senkyèm nan ap rete pou nou pou simen nan tè a pou manje pou nou menm avèk sa ki lakay nou yo, ak pou pitit nou yo.”
25 Then they answered, Thou hast saued our liues: let vs finde grace in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs seruants.
Epi yo te di: “Ou gen tan sove lavi nou! Kite nou twouve favè nan zye a mèt nou, e nou va vin esklav Farawon.”
26 Then Ioseph made it a lawe ouer the land of Egypt vnto this day, that Pharaoh should haue the fift part, except the land of the priests only, which was not Pharaohs.
Joseph te fè yon règleman selon peyi Égypte la ki valab jis rive jou sa a ke Farawon te gen dwa a yon senkyèm nan. Sèl tè a prèt yo ki pa t vin pou Farawon.
27 And Israel dwelt in the lande of Egypt, in the countrey of Goshen: and they had their possessions therein, and grewe and multiplied exceedingly.
Alò, Israël te viv nan peyi Égypte la, nan Gosen. Yo te gen tèren ladann, yo te vin trè pwodiktif, e yo te peple anpil.
28 Moreouer, Iaakob liued in the lande of Egypt seuenteene yeeres, so that the whole age of Iaakob was an hundreth fourtie and seuen yeere.
Jacob te viv nan peyi Égypte pandan disèt ane'. Pou sa, fòs lavi li te san-karant-sèt ane.
29 Now when the time drewe neere that Israel must dye, he called his sonne Ioseph, and sayde vnto him, If I haue nowe founde grace in thy sight, put thine hand nowe vnder my thigh, and deale mercifully and truely with me: burie me not, I pray thee, in Egypt.
Lè pou Israël mouri an t ap pwoche. Li te rele fis li, Joseph, e te di li: “Souple, si mwen te twouve favè nan zye ou, koulye a plase men ou anba fant janm mwen, e aji avèk mwen nan bòn fwa ak tandrès. Souple, pa antere mwen an Égypte,
30 But when I shall sleepe with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury mee in their buryall. And he answered, I will doe as thou hast sayde.
men lè m kouche avèk zansèt mwen yo, nou va pote mwen deyò de Égypte, pou antere mwen nan plas antèman a yo menm nan.” Epi Joseph te di: “M ap fè jan ou di m nan.”
31 The he said, Sweare vnto me. And he sware vnto him. And Israel worshipped towardes the beds head.
Konsa, li te di: “Sèmante ban mwen.” Epi li te sèmante ba li. Epi Israël te bese pou adore nan tèt kabann nan.
