Ezra 10
1 Whiles Ezra prayed thus, and confessed himselfe weeping, and falling downe before the house of God, there assembled vnto him of Israel a very great Congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept with a great lamentation.

2 Then Shechaniah the sonne of Iehiel one of the sonnes of Elam answered, and sayd to Ezra, We haue trespassed against our God, and haue taken strange wiues of the people of the land, yet nowe there is hope in Israel concerning this.
Ndipo Sekaniya, mwana wa Yehieli, wa fuko la Elamu, anawuza Ezara kuti, “Ife takhala osakhulupirika kwa Mulungu wathu ndipo takhala tikukwatira akazi achilendo a mayiko akunowa. Koma ngakhale zili chomwechi, chikhulupiriro chilipobe pakati pa Aisraeli.
3 Now therfore let vs make a couenant with our God, to put away all the wiues (and such as are borne of them) according to the counsell of the Lord, and of those that feare the commandements of our God, and let it be done according to the Lawe.
Tsopano tiyeni tichite naye pangano Mulungu wathu, kuti tichotse akazi onsewa ndi ana awo, potsata malangizo a inu mbuye wanga ndi wa anthu amene amaopa malamulo a Mulungu wathu. Lolani kuti zichitike motsatira malamulo.
4 Arise: for the matter belogeth vnto thee: we also wil be with thee: be of comfort and do it.
Tsono dzukani, imeneyi ndi ntchito yanu. Ife tikuthandizani. Limbani mtima ndipo gwirani ntchitoyi.”
5 Then arose Ezra, and caused the chiefe Priestes, the Leuites, and all Israel, to sweare that they would doe according to this worde. So they sware.
Choncho Ezara anayimirira ndipo analumbiritsa akulu a ansembe, Alevi ndi Aisraeli onse, kuti adzachitedi monga Sekaniya ananenera. Tsono onse analumbira.
6 And Ezra rose vp from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib: he went euen thither, but he did eate neither bread, nor drunke water: for he mourned, because of the transgression of them of the captiuitie.
Ezara anachoka ku Nyumba ya Mulungu napita ku chipinda cha Yehohanani, mwana wa Eliyasibu. Anatandala kumeneko usiku wonse ndipo sanadye chakudya kapena kumwa madzi popeza ankalira chifukwa cha kusankhulupirika kwa anthu obwera ku ukapolo.
7 And they caused a proclamation to goe throughout Iudah and Ierusalem, vnto all them of the captiuitie, that they should assemble themselues vnto Ierusalem.
Tsono anthu analengeza mʼdziko lonse la Yuda ndi mʼmizinda yonse ya Yerusalemu kwa onse ochokera ku ukapolo aja kuti asonkhane ku Yerusalemu.
8 And whosoeuer woulde not come within three dayes according to the counsel of the Princes and Elders, all his substance should be forfait, and he should be separate from the Congregation of them of the captiuitie.
Ananena kuti wina aliyense amene saonekera pakutha pa masiku atatu, adzalandidwa katundu wake, potsata malangizo a nduna ndi akuluakulu, ndipo adzachotsedwa mʼgulu la anthu obwerako ku ukapolo.
9 Then all the men of Iudah and Beniamin assembled theselues vnto Ierusalem within three dayes, which was the twentieth day of the ninth moneth, and all the people sate in the streete of the house of God, trembling for this matter, and for the raine.
Choncho anthu onse a mʼdziko la Yuda ndi a mʼdziko la Benjamini anasonkhana ku Yerusalemu asanathe masiku atatu. Limeneli linali tsiku la 20 la mwezi wa 9. Anthu onse anakhala pansi pa bwalo la Nyumba ya Mulungu akunjenjemera chifukwa cha mvula yambiri imene inagwa.
10 And Ezra the Priest stoode vp, and said vnto them, Ye haue transgressed, and haue taken strange wiues, to increase the trespasse of Israel.
Ndipo wansembe Ezara anayimirira nawuza anthuwo kuti, “Inu mwachimwa pomakwatira akazi achikunja ndi kumawonjezera pa tchimo la Aisraeli.
11 Now therefore giue praise vnto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his will, and separate your selues from the people of the land, and from the strange wiues.
Tsopano lapani kwa Yehova, Mulungu wa makolo anu ndi kuchita zimene akufuna. Dzipatuleni kwa anthu a mayiko enawa ndi kwa akazi achikunjawa.”
12 And all the Congregation answered, and sayd with a loude voyce, So will we do according to thy wordes vnto vs.
Gulu lonse la anthu linayankha ndi mawu ofuwula kuti, “Nʼzoona! Tichita monga mwaneneramu.
13 But the people are many, and it is a raynie weather, and we are not able to stande without, neither is it the worke of one day or two: for we are many that haue offended in this thing.
Koma pano pali anthu ambiri ndiponso mvula ikugwa kwambiri, choncho sitingakayime panja. Ndiponso ntchitoyi si ya tsiku limodzi kapena awiri, chifukwa tachimwa kwambiri pa zimene tachitazi.
14 Let our rulers stand therefore before all the Congregation, and let all them which haue taken strange wiues in our cities, come at the time appoynted, and with them the Elders of euery citie and the Iudges thereof, til the fierce wrath of our God for this matter turne away from vs.
Tsono mulole kuti atsogoleri athu ayimirire mʼmalo mwa anthu onse. Aliyense wa mʼmizinda yathu amene anakwatira mkazi wachikunja abwere pa nthawi imene inu munene, ndipo abwere pamodzi ndi akuluakulu ndi oweruza a mzindawo. Choncho mkwiyo wa Mulungu wathu udzatichoka.”
15 Then were appoynted Ionathan the sonne of Asah-el, and Iahaziah the sonne of Tikuah ouer this matter, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Leuites helped them.
Koma Yonatani yekha mwana wa Asaheli ndi Yahazieli mwana wa Tikiva ndiwo anatsutsapo pa zimenezi. Tsono Mesulamu ndi Mlevi Sebetai anawayikira kumbuyo.
16 And they of the captiuitie did so, and departed, euen Ezra the Priest, and the men that were chiefe fathers to the familie of their fathers by name, and sate downe in the first day of the tenth moneth to examine the matter.
Choncho anthu obwerako ku ukapolo aja anachita zimene zimafunika. Ndipo wansembe Ezara anasankha amuna amene anali atsogoleri a mabanja potsata mafuko awo ndipo onsewo analembedwa mayina awo. Tsiku loyamba la mwezi wa khumi anayambapo kuyifufuza nkhani imeneyi.
17 And vntill the first day of the first moneth they were finishing the businesse with al the men that had taken strange wiues.
Ndipo pofika tsiku loyamba la mwezi woyamba anali atathana nawo anthu amene anakwatira akazi achilendo aja.
18 And of the sonnes of the Priests there were men founde, that had taken strange wiues, to wit, of the sonnes of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and of his brethren, Maaseiah, Aeliezer, and Iarib and Gedaliah.
Nawu mʼndandanda wa ansembe amene anakwatira akazi achikunja: Pa banja la Yesuwa ndi abale ake, ana a Yozadaki, panali awa: Maaseiya, Eliezara, Yaribu ndi Gedaliya.
19 And they gaue their hads, that they would put away their wiues, and they that had trespassed, gaue a ramme for their trespasse.
Iwo anatsimikiza zochotsa akazi awo ndipo chifukwa cha kulakwa kwawo aliyense anapereka nkhosa yayimuna ngati nsembe yopepesera machimo.
20 And of the sonnes of Immer, Honani, and Zebadiah.
Pa banja la Imeri panali awa: Hanani ndi Zebadiya.
21 And of the sonnes of Harim, Maaseiah, and Eliiah, and Shemaiah, and Iehiel, and Vzziah.
Pa banja la Harimu panali awa: Maseya, Eliya, Semaya, Yehieli ndi Uziya.
22 And of ye sonnes of Pashur, Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Iozabad, and Elasah.
Pa banja la Pasuri panali awa: Eliyoenai, Maseya, Ismaeli, Netaneli, Yozabadi ndi Eleasa.
23 And of the Leuites, Iozabad and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (which is Kelitah) Pethahiah, Iudah and Eliezer.
Pakati pa Alevi panali: Yozabadi, Simei, Kelaya (ndiye kuti, Kelita). Petaya, Yuda ndi Eliezara.
24 And of the singers, Eliashib. And of the porters, Shallum, and Telem, and Vri.
Pakati pa oyimba nyimbo panali Eliyasibu. Ochokera kwa alonda a zipata: Salumu, Telemu ndi Uri.
25 And of Israel: of the sonnes of Parosh, Ramiah, and Iesiah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchiiah, and Benaiah.
Ochokera pakati pa Aisraeli ena: a fuko la Parosi anali Ramiya, Iziya, Malikiya, Miyamini, Eliezara, ndi Benaya.
26 And of the sonnes of Elam, Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Iehiel, and Abdi, and Ieremoth, and Eliah.
A fuko la Elamu anali Mataniya, Zekariya, Yehieli, Abidi, Yeremoti ndi Eliya.
27 And of the sonnes of Zattu, Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Ierimoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
A fuko la Zatu anali Eliyoenai, Eliyasibu, Mataniya, Yeremoti, Zabadi ndi Aziza.
28 And of the sonnes of Bebai, Iehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
A fuko la Bebai anali Yehohanani, Hananiya, Zabayi ndi Atilayi.
29 And of the sonnes of Bani, Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Iashub, and Sheal, Ieramoth.
A fuko la Bani anali Mesulamu, Maluki, Adaya, Yasubu, Seali ndi Yeremoti.
30 And of the sonnes of Pahath Moab, Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
A fuko la Pahati-Mowabu anali Adina, Kelali, Benaya, Maseya, Mataniya, Bezaleli, Binuyi ndi Manase.
31 And of the sonnes of Harim, Eliezer, Ishiiah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,

32 Beniamin, Malluch, Shamariah.
Benjamini, Maluki ndi Semariya.
33 Of the sonnes of Hashum, Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Ieremai, Manasseh, Shimei.

34 Of the sonnes of Bani, Maadai, Amram, and Vel,

35 Banaiah, Bediah, Chelluh,
Benaya, Bediya, Keluhi,
36 Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
Vaniya, Meremoti, Eliyasibu,
37 Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Iaasau,
Mataniya, Matenayi ndi Yasu.
38 And Banni, and Bennui, Shimei,

39 And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
Selemiya, Natani, Adaya,
40 Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,
Makinadebayi, Sasai, Sarai,
41 Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
Azaleli, Selemiya, Semariya,
42 Shallum, Amariah, Ioseph.
Salumu, Amariya ndi Yosefe.
43 Of the sonnes of Nebo, Ieiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Iadau, and Ioel, Benaiah.
A fuko la Nebo anali Yeiyeli, Matitiya, Zabadi, Zebina, Yadai, Yoweli ndi Benaya.
44 All these had taken strange wiues: and among them were women that had children.
Onsewa anakwatira akazi achilendo. Tsono anawasudzula akaziwo ndi kuwatumiza kwawo pamodzi ndi ana awo.
