< Ezekiel 15 >
1 And thee word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa sì tọ̀ mí wá wí pé:
2 Sonne of man, what commeth of the vine tree aboue all other trees? and of the vine braunch, which is among the trees of ye forest?
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, báwo ni igi àjàrà ṣe dára ju igi mìíràn lọ tàbí jù ẹ̀ka àjàrà tó wà láàrín igi yòókù nínú igbó?
3 Shall wood bee taken thereof to doe any worke? or wil men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
Ǹjẹ́ a wa lè mú igi lára rẹ̀ ṣe nǹkan tí ó wúlò bí? Tàbí kí ènìyàn fi ṣe èèkàn tí yóò fi nǹkan kọ́?
4 Behold, it is cast in the fire to be consumed: the fire consumeth both the endes of it, and the middes of it is burnt. Is it meete for any worke?
Lẹ́yìn èyí, ṣe a jù ú sínú iná gẹ́gẹ́ bí epo ìdáná, gbogbo igun rẹ̀ jóná pẹ̀lú àárín rẹ, ṣé o wà le wúlò fún nǹkan kan mọ́?
5 Behold, when it was whole, it was meete for no worke: how much lesse shall it bee meete for any worke, when the fire hath consumed it, and it is burnt?
Tí kò bá wúlò fún nǹkan kan nígbà tó wà lódidi, báwo ni yóò ṣe wá wúlò nígbà tí iná ti jó o, tó sì dúdú nítorí èéfín?
6 Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, As the vine tree, that is among the trees of the forest, which I haue giuen to the fire to be consumed, so will I giue the inhabitants of Ierusalem.
“Nítorí náà, báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, bí mo ṣe sọ igi àjàrà tó wà láàrín àwọn igi inú igbó yòókù di igi ìdáná, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Èmi yóò ṣe ṣe gbogbo ènìyàn tó ń gbé Jerusalẹmu.
7 And I will set my face against them: they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall consume them: and ye shall know, that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them,
Èmi yóò dojúkọ wọ́n. Bó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé wọn ti jáde kúrò nínú iná kan, síbẹ̀ iná mìíràn yóò pàpà jó wọn. Nígbà tí mo bá sì dojúkọ wọ́n, ẹ̀yin yóò sì mọ̀ pé, Èmi ni Olúwa.
8 And when I make the lande waste, because they haue greatly offended, saith the Lord God.
Èmi yóò sọ ilé náà di ahoro nítorí ìwà àìṣòótọ́ wọn, ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.”
