Ezekiel 12
1 The worde of the Lord also came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
2 Sonne of man, thou dwellest in the middes of a rebellious house, which haue eyes to see, and see not: they haue eares to heare, and heare not: for they are a rebellious house.
Fils de l’homme, tu habites au milieu d’une famille de rebelles, qui ont des yeux pour voir et qui ne voient point, des oreilles pour entendre et qui n’entendent point; car c’est une famille de rebelles.
3 Therefore thou sonne of man, prepare thy stuffe to goe into captiuitie, and goe foorth by day in their sight: and thou shalt passe from thy place to another place in their sight, if it be possible that they may consider it: for they are a rebellious house.
Et toi, fils de l’homme, prépare tes effets de voyage, et pars de jour, sous leurs yeux! Pars, en leur présence, du lieu où tu es pour un autre lieu: peut-être verront-ils qu’ils sont une famille de rebelles.
4 Then shalt thou bring foorth thy stuffe by day in their sight as the stuffe of him that goeth into captiuitie: and thou shalt go forth at euen in their sight, as they that go foorth into captiuitie.
Sors tes effets comme des effets de voyage, de jour sous leurs yeux; et toi, pars le soir, en leur présence, comme partent des exilés.
5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and cary out thereby.
Sous leurs yeux, tu perceras la muraille, et tu sortiras tes effets par là.
6 In their sight shalt thou beare it vpon thy shoulders, and carie it foorth in the darke: thou shalt couer thy face that thou see not the earth: for I haue set thee as a signe vnto the house of Israel.
Sous leurs yeux, tu les mettras sur ton épaule, tu les sortiras pendant l’obscurité, tu te couvriras le visage, et tu ne regarderas pas la terre; car je veux que tu sois un signe pour la maison d’Israël.
7 And as I was commanded, so I brought forth my stuffe by day, as ye stuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and by night I digged through the wall with mine hand, and brought it forth in ye darke, and I bare it vpon my shoulder in their sight.
Je fis ce qui m’avait été ordonné: je sortis de jour mes effets comme des effets de voyage, le soir je perçai la muraille avec la main, et je les sortis pendant l’obscurité et les mis sur mon épaule, en leur présence.
8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord vnto me, saying,
Le matin, la parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
9 Sonne of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, sayde vnto thee, What doest thou?
Fils de l’homme, la maison d’Israël, cette famille de rebelles ne t’a-t-elle pas dit: Que fais-tu?
10 But say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, This burden concerneth the chiefe in Ierusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Cet oracle concerne le prince qui est à Jérusalem, et toute la maison d’Israël qui s’y trouve.
11 Say, I am your signe: like as I haue done, so shall it be done vnto them: they shall goe into bondage and captiuitie.
Dis: Je suis pour vous un signe. Ce que j’ai fait, c’est ce qui leur sera fait: Ils iront en exil, en captivité.
12 And the chiefest that is among them, shall beare vpon his shoulder in the darke, and shall goe forth: they shall digge through the wall, to cary out thereby: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eies.
Le prince qui est au milieu d’eux Mettra son bagage sur l’épaule pendant l’obscurité et partira; On percera la muraille pour le faire sortir; Il se couvrira le visage, Pour que ses yeux ne regardent pas la terre.
13 My net also will I spread vpon him, and he shall be taken in my net, and I will bring him to Babel to the lande of the Caldeans, yet shall he not see it, though he shall dye there.
J’étendrai mon rets sur lui, Et il sera pris dans mon filet; Je l’emmènerai à Babylone, dans le pays des Chaldéens; Mais il ne le verra pas, et il y mourra.
14 And I will scatter toward euerie winde all that are about him to helpe him, and all his garisons, and I will drawe out the sworde after them.
Tous ceux qui l’entourent et lui sont en aide, Et toutes ses troupes, je les disperserai à tous les vents, Et je tirerai l’épée derrière eux.
15 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countreis.
Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel, Quand je les répandrai parmi les nations, Quand je les disperserai en divers pays.
16 But I will leaue a litle nomber of them from the sworde, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all these abominations among the heathen, where they come, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.
Mais je laisserai d’eux quelques hommes Qui échapperont à l’épée, à la famine et à la peste, Afin qu’ils racontent toutes leurs abominations Parmi les nations où ils iront. Et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.
17 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
18 Sonne of man, eate thy bread with trembling and drinke thy water with trouble, and with carefulnesse,
Fils de l’homme, tu mangeras ton pain avec tremblement, Tu boiras ton eau avec inquiétude et angoisse.
19 And say vnto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and of the lande of Israel, They shall eate their bread with carefulnes, and drinke their water with desolation: for the lande shall bee desolate from her abundance because of the crueltie of them that dwell therein.
Dis au peuple du pays: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel, Sur les habitants de Jérusalem dans la terre d’Israël! Ils mangeront leur pain avec angoisse, Et ils boiront leur eau avec épouvante; Car leur pays sera dépouillé de tout ce qu’il contient, A cause de la violence de tous ceux qui l’habitent.
20 And the cities that are inhabited, shall be left voyde, and the land shall be desolate, and yee shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Les villes peuplées seront détruites, Et le pays sera ravagé. Et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel.
21 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
22 Sonne of man, what is that prouerbe that you haue in the land of Israel, saying, The dayes are prolonged and all visions faile?
Fils de l’homme, que signifient ces discours moqueurs Que vous tenez dans le pays d’Israël: Les jours se prolongent, Et toutes les visions restent sans effet?
23 Tell them therefore, Thus sayeth the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to cease, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, The daies are at hand and the effect of euery vision.
C’est pourquoi dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Je ferai cesser ces discours moqueurs; On ne les tiendra plus en Israël. Dis-leur, au contraire: Les jours approchent, Et toutes les visions s’accompliront.
24 For no vision shall be any more in vaine, neither shall there bee any flattering diuination within the house of Israel.
Car il n’y aura plus de visions vaines, Ni d’oracles trompeurs, Au milieu de la maison d’Israël.
25 For I am the Lord: I wil speake, and that thing that I shall speake, shall come to passe: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your dayes, O rebellious house, will I saye the thing, and will performe it, sayeth the Lord God.
Car moi, l’Éternel, je parlerai; Ce que je dirai s’accomplira, Et ne sera plus différé; Oui, de vos jours, famille de rebelles, Je prononcerai une parole et je l’accomplirai, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
26 Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
La parole de l’Éternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:
27 Sonne of man, beholde, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that hee seeth, is for many dayes to come, and he prophecieth of the times that are farre off.
Fils de l’homme, voici, la maison d’Israël dit: Les visions qu’il a ne sont pas près de s’accomplir; Il prophétise pour des temps éloignés.
28 Therefore say vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord God, All my wordes shall no longer be delayed, but that thing which I haue spoken, shall be done, saith the Lord God.
C’est pourquoi dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Il n’y aura plus de délai dans l’accomplissement de mes paroles; La parole que je prononcerai s’accomplira, Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
