Deuteronomy 34
1 Then Moses went from the plaine of Moab vp into mount Nebo vnto the top of Pisgah that is ouer against Iericho: and the Lord shewed him all the land of Gilead, vnto Dan,
Und Mose ging von dem Gefilde der Moabiter auf den Berg Nebo, auf die Spitze des Gebirges Pisga, gegen Jericho über. Und der HERR zeigte ihm das ganze Land Gilead bis gen Dan
2 And all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Iudah, vnto the vtmost sea:
und das ganze Naphthali und das Land Ephraim und Manasse und das ganze Land Juda bis an das äußerste Meer
3 And the South, and the plaine of the valley of Iericho, the citie of palmetrees, vnto Zoar.
und gegen Mittag und die Gegend der Breite Jerichos, der Palmenstadt, bis gen Zoar.
4 And the Lord said vnto him, This is the lande which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak and to Iaacob saying, I will giue it vnto thy seede: I haue caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not goe ouer thither.
Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Dies ist das Land, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen habe, und gesagt: Ich will es deinem Samen geben. Du hast es mit deinen Augen gesehen, aber du sollst nicht hinübergehen.
5 So Moses the seruant of the Lord dyed there in the land of Moab, according to the worde of the Lord.
Also starb Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, daselbst im Lande der Moabiter nach dem Wort des HERRN.
6 And hee buried him in a valley in the land of Moab ouer against Beth-peor, but no man knoweth of his sepulchre vnto this day.
Und er begrub ihn im Tal, im Lande der Moabiter, gegen dem Hause Peor. Und hat niemand sein Grab erfahren bis auf diesen heutigen Tag.
7 Moses was nowe an hundreth and twentie yeere olde when hee died, his eye was not dimme, nor his naturall force abated.
Und Mose war hundertundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er starb. Seine Augen waren nicht dunkel worden, und seine Kraft war nicht verfallen.
8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plaine of Moab thirtie dayes: so the dayes of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
Und die Kinder Israel beweineten Mose im Gefilde der Moabiter dreißig Tage. Und wurden vollendet die Tage des Weinens und Klagens über Mose.
9 And Ioshua the sonne of Nun was full of ye spirit of wisedome: for Moses had put his hands vpon him. And the children of Israel were obedient vnto him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Josua aber, der Sohn Nuns, ward erfüllet mit dem Geist der Weisheit; denn Mose hatte seine Hände auf ihn gelegt. Und die Kinder Israel gehorchten ihm und taten, wie der HERR Mose geboten hatte.
10 But there arose not a Prophet since in Israel like vnto Moses (whome the Lord knew face to face)
Und es stund hinfort kein Prophet in Israel auf wie Mose, den der HERR erkannt hätte von Angesicht zu Angesicht
11 In all ye miracles and wonders which ye Lord sent him to do in ye land of Egypt before Pharaoh and before all his seruantes, and before al his land,
zu allerlei Zeichen und Wundern, dazu ihn der HERR sandte, daß er sie täte in Ägyptenland, an Pharao und an allen seinen Knechten und an all seinem Lande,
12 And in all that mightie hand and all that great feare, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
und zu aller dieser mächtigen Hand und großen Gesichten, die Mose tat vor den Augen des ganzen Israel.
