1 Nebuchad-nezzar King vnto all people, nations and languages, that dwell in all the world, Peace be multiplied vnto you:

2 I thought it good to declare the signes and wonders, that the hie God hath wrought toward me.
E ji m obi ụtọ, na-eme ka unu mata ihe ịrịbama niile na ihe iju anya niile, nke Chineke Onye kachasị ihe niile elu meere m.
3 How great are his signes, and how mightie are his wonders! his kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

4 I Nebuchad-nezzar being at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace,

5 Saw a dreame, which made me afraide, and the thoughtes vpon my bed, and the visions of mine head troubled me.
Arọrọ m nrọ, nke mere ka ụjọ tụọ m. Ihe niile m hụrụ na nrọ mgbe m dina ala nʼelu akwa mere ka oke ụjọ tụọ m.
6 Therefore made I a decree, that they should bring all the wise men of Babel before mee, that they might declare vnto me the interpretation of the dreame.
Nʼihi ya, enyere m iwu ka a kpọọ ndị amamihe niile m nwere na Babilọn ka ha bịa nʼihu m, bịa kọwaara m isi nrọ ahụ.
7 So came the inchanters, the astrologians, the Caldeans and the sothsayers, to whom I tolde the dreame, but they could not shew me the interpretation thereof,
Ma mgbe ndị mgbaasị, ndị dibịa, ndị Kaldịa na ndị na-agba afa bịara, a kọọrọ m ha nrọ ahụ m rọrọ, ma ha enweghị ike ịgwa m nkọwa ya.
8 Till at the last Daniel came before mee, (whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, which hath the spirite of the holy gods in him) and before him I tolde the dreame, saying,
Nʼikpeazụ, Daniel batara nʼihu m, onye aha ya bụ Belteshaza dịka aha chi m si dị, onye mmụọ nke chi niile dị nsọ bi nʼime ya. Akọọrọ m ya ihe ahụ m rọrọ na nrọ.
9 O Belteshazzar, chiefe of the enchanters, because I know, that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell mee the visions of my dreame, that I haue seene and the interpretation thereof.
Asịrị m, “Belteshaza, onyeisi ndị nkọwa ihe niile. Amaara m na mmụọ nke chi niile dị nsọ bi nʼime gị. Amakwaara m na o nweghị ihe omimi ọbụla ga-esiri gị ike ịchọpụta ọsịsa ya. Ugbu a, nke a bụ nrọ m, kọwaara m ihe ọ pụtara.
10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed. And beholde, I sawe a tree in the middes of the earth and the height thereof was great:
Mgbe m dina nʼelu akwa, nke a bụ ihe m hụrụ. E nwere otu osisi nke toro nʼetiti ụwa, ogologo ya dị ukwuu.
11 A great tree and strong, and the height thereof reached vnto heauen, and the sight thereof to the endes of all the earth.
Osisi a toro sie ike, ịdị elu ya rukwara nʼeluigwe, a na-ahụkwa ya anya site na nsọtụ nke ụwa niile.
12 The boughes thereof were faire and the fruite thereof much, and in it was meate for all: it made a shadow vnder it for the beastes of the fielde, and the foules of the heauen dwelt in the boughes thereof, and all flesh fedde of it.
Akwụkwọ ya dị mma ile anya, alaka ya jupụtakwara na mkpụrụ hiri nne, o gbokwara mkpa nri nye mmadụ niile. Ụmụ anụmanụ niile nke ọhịa na-abịakwa nʼokpuru ndo ya izuike. Ụmụ nnụnụ niile nke eluigwe na-ebikwa nʼalaka ya. Ọ bụkwa site na ya ka a na-azụ ihe niile dị ndụ nri.
13 I sawe in the visions of mine head vpon my bed, and beholde, a watchman and an holy one came downe from heauen,
“Mgbe m nọkwa na-arọ nrọ ahụ, ahụrụ m otu nʼime ndị mmụọ ozi Chineke ka o si nʼeluigwe na-arịdata.
14 And cried aloude, and said thus, Hew downe the tree, and breake off his branches: shake off his leaues, and scatter his fruite, that the beastes may flee from vnder it, and the foules from his branches.
O tiri mkpu nʼolu dị ike sị, ‘Gbudanụ osisi ukwu ahụ, gbukasịakwa alaka ya niile. Kụpụsịanụ akwụkwọ ndụ niile dị nʼelu ya. Ghasaakwanụ mkpụrụ ya niile, ka ụmụ anụmanụ si nʼokpuru ndo ya gbapụ, ka ụmụ nnụnụ site nʼalaka ya fepụ.
15 Neuerthelesse leaue the stumpe of his rootes in the earth, and with a band of yron and brasse binde it among the grasse of the fielde, and let it be wet with the dewe of heauen, and let his portion be with the beastes among the grasse of the fielde.
Kama hapụnụ ogwe osisi ahụ na mgbọrọgwụ ya ka ha dịrị nʼime ala, ebe e ji ụdọ igwe na ụdọ bronz kee ya gburugburu, ebe ahịhịa ndụ gbakwara ya gburugburu. “‘Ka igirigi nke eluigwe zoo ya nʼahụ, ka ahịhịa bụrụkwa nri ọ ga-eri, ya na ụmụ anụmanụ.
16 Let his heart be changed from mans nature, and let a beasts heart be giuen vnto him, and let seuen times be passed ouer him.
Ka uche ya gbanwee ghọọ nke anụ ọhịa, ghara ibu nke mmadụ, afọ asaa.
17 The sentence is according to the decree of the watchmen, and according to the word of the holy ones: the demaunde was answered, to the intent that liuing men may knowe, that the most High hath power ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it to whomsoeuer he will, and appointeth ouer it the most abiect among men.
“‘Nke a bụ mkpebi nke mmụọ ozi ahụ nọ na nche. Ọ bụkwa mkpebi e nyere site nʼokwu nke dị nsọ, ka ụwa niile mata na Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, na-achịkwa nʼalaeze niile dị nʼụwa. Ọ bụ ya na-ewerekwa alaeze ndị a nye onye ọbụla ọ chọrọ, ọ bụladị ndị mmadụ a na-ahụta dịka ndị dị ala karịsịa.’
18 This is the dreame, that I King Nebuchad-nezzar haue seene: therefore thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof: for all the wisemen of my kingdome are not able to shewe mee the interpretation: but thou art able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
“Nke a bụ nrọ ahụ, mụ bụ eze Nebukadneza rọrọ, ugbu a, Belteshaza, gwa m ihe bụ nkọwa ya. Nʼihi na ndị amamihe niile nọ nʼalaeze m enweghị ike ịkọwara m ya. Ma amaara m na i nwere ike ịkọwara m ya, nʼihi na mmụọ nke chi ndị ahụ dị nsọ dị nʼime gị.”
19 Then Daniel (whose name was Belteshazzar) held his peace by the space of one houre, and his thoughts troubled him, and the King spake and said, Belteshazzar, let neither the dreame, nor the interpretation thereof trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and saide, My lord, the dreame be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

20 The tree that thou sawest, which was great and mightie, whose height reached vnto the heauen, and the sight thereof through all the world,
Osisi ahụ ị hụrụ nke buru ibu, tokwa ogologo ma dịkwa ike, nke elu ya na-emetụ mbara eluigwe, nke ndị niile bi nʼụwa hụrụ,
21 Whose leaues were faire and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meate for all, vnder the which the beastes of the fielde dwelt, and vpon whose branches the foules of the heauen did sit,
nke nwekwara akwụkwọ ndụ dị mma, na nke jupụtara na mkpụrụ, nke na-egboro mmadụ niile mkpa nri, nke ụmụ anụmanụ ọhịa niile na-ebi nʼokpuru ndo ya, nke ụmụ nnụnụ niile nke eluigwe nwere akwụ ebe obibi ha,
22 It is thou, O King, that art great and mightie: for thy greatnesse is growen, and reacheth vnto heauen, and thy dominion to the endes of the earth.
osisi ahụ bụ gị onwe gị, eze. Nʼihi na i toola bụrụ onye dị ike na onye dị ukwuu. Ịdị ukwu gị eruola nʼeluigwe. Ọchịchị gị eruokwala nʼakụkụ niile nke ụwa.
23 Where as the King sawe a watchman, and an holy one, that came downe from heauen, and said, Hew downe the tree and destroy it, yet leaue the stumpe of the rootes thereof in the earth, and with a bande of yron and brasse binde it among the grasse of the fielde, and let it be wette with the dewe of heauen, and let his portion be with the beastes of the fielde, till seuen times passe ouer him,
“Mgbe ahụ, ị hụkwara onye dị nsọ na-enyocha omume ndị mmadụ nke si nʼeluigwe rịdata na-asị, ‘Gbutuonụ osisi a, laa ya nʼiyi, ma unu hapụ ogwe ya ka ahịhịa ndụ gbaa ya gburugburu, ka e jirikwa ụdọ igwe na bronz kee ya gburugburu; hapụ ya ka igirigi nke eluigwe zokwasị ya. Hapụkwa ya ka o soro anụ ọhịa taa ahịhịa dịka nri ya tutu afọ asaa a gafee.’
24 This is the interpretation, O King, and it is the decree of the most High, which is come vpon my lord the King,
“Eze, nke a bụ nkọwa nrọ ị rọrọ, Onye kachasị ihe niile elu enyela iwu nke na-aghaghị imezu megide onyenwe m eze.
25 That they shall driue thee from men, and thy dwelling shalbe with the beasts of the fielde: they shall make thee to eate grasse as the oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dewe of heauen: and seuen times shall passe ouer thee, till thou knowe, that the most High beareth rule ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it to whom so euer he will.
A ga-achụpụ gị site nʼebe ndị mmadụ nọ. A ga-achụgakwa gị nʼebe gị na ụmụ anụmanụ ga-ebi nʼọhịa, Ebe ahụ ka ị ga-anọ taa ahịhịa dịka oke ehi, igirigi nke eluigwe ga-ezokwasịkwa gị. Ọnụọgụgụ afọ asaa ga-agabiga tutu ruo mgbe ị nabatara na Onye kachasị ihe niile elu na-achị achị nʼalaeze niile nke mmadụ, na ọ bụkwa nʼaka onye ọbụla ọ chọrọ ka ọ na-enyefe ha.
26 Where as they sayd, that one should leaue the stumpe of the tree rootes, thy kingdome shall remaine vnto thee: after that, thou shalt knowe, that the heauens haue the rule.
Dịka e siri nye nʼiwu ka a hapụ ogwe osisi ahụ na mgbọrọgwụ ya nʼime ala. Nke a na-egosi na ị ga-emecha nwetaghachi alaeze gị mgbe ị nabatara na Eluigwe na-achị achị.
27 Wherefore, O King, let my counsell be acceptable vnto thee, and breake off thy sinnes by righteousnes, and thine iniquities by mercy toward the poore: lo, let there be an healing of thine errour.
Ya mere, biko eze, kweere nabata ndụmọdụ m, kwụsị ime mmehie, mee ihe ziri ezi, werekwa omume ileta ndị ogbenye dochie nʼọnọdụ ajọ omume gị. Eleghị anya, ihe ga na-agara gị nke ọma.”
28 All these things shall come vpon the King Nebuchad-nezzar.
Ma ihe ndị a niile bịakwasịrị eze Nebukadneza.
29 At the end of twelue moneths, he walked in the royall palace of Babel.
Mgbe ọnwa iri na abụọ gafesịrị ọ nọ na-agagharị nʼelu ụlọ dị nʼụlọeze nʼobodo Babilọn.
30 And the King spake and sayde, Is not this great Babel, that I haue built for the house of the kingdome by the might of my power, and for the honour of my maiestie?
Ma eze sịrị, “Ebe a, ọ bụghị Babilọn dị ukwu, nke m wuuru onwe m dịka ebe obibi m, site nʼike m dị ukwu na maka ebube ọchịchị m?”
31 While the worde was in the Kings mouth, a voyce came downe from heauen, saying, O King Nebuchad-nezzar, to thee be it spoken, Thy kingdome is departed from thee,
Mgbe ọ ka kpụ okwu ahụ nʼọnụ, otu olu si nʼeluigwe kwuo okwu, “Ihe a ka e kpebiri megide gị, eze Nebukadneza. Site taa gaa nʼihu ị gaghị abụkwa eze na-achị alaeze a.
32 And they shall driue thee from men, and thy dwelling shalbe with the beastes of the fielde: they shall make thee to eate grasse, as the oxen, and seuen times shall passe ouer thee, vntill thou knowest, that the most High beareth rule ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it vnto whomsoeuer he will.
A ga-esi nʼetiti ndị mmadụ chụpụ gị, ka ị gaa soro ụmụ anụmanụ biri nʼọhịa. Ị ga-atakwa ahịhịa dịka oke ehi, afọ asaa ga-agasị tutu ruo mgbe ị ghọtara na ọ bụ Onye kachasị ihe niile elu na-achị achị nʼalaeze dị niile nke ụwa. Ọ na-enyefekwa ha nʼaka onye ọbụla ọ chọrọ ka ọ chịa.”
33 The very same houre was this thing fulfilled vpon Nebuchad-nezzar, and hee was driuen from men, and did eate grasse as the oxen, and his body was wet with the dewe of heauen, till his heares were growen as eagles feathers, and his nailes like birds clawes.
Nʼotu oge ahụ kwa, okwu ndị a e kwuru banyere Nebukadneza mezuru. E sitere nʼetiti ụmụ mmadụ chụpụ ya, ọ gakwara nʼọhịa taa ahịhịa dịka oke ehi, igirigi nke eluigwe dekwara ahụ ya ruo mgbe ajị dị ya nʼahụ toro ogologo dịka nku ugo, mbọ ụkwụ na aka ya dịkwa ka mbọ ụmụ nnụnụ.
34 And at the ende of these dayes I Nebuchad-nezzar lift vp mine eyes vnto heauen, and mine vnderstanding was restored vnto me, and I gaue thankes vnto the most High, and I praysed and honoured him that liueth for euer, whose power is an euerlasting power, and his kingdome is from generation to generation.
Mgbe oge a gafesịrị, mụ bụ Nebukadneza leliri anya m elu. Mgbe ahụ kwa ka m ghọrọ mmadụ nwere uche ọzọ. Etokwara m, ma kpọọkwa isiala nye Onye ahụ kachasị ihe niile elu, sọpụrụkwa Onye ahụ na-adị ndụ ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi.
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and according to his will he worketh in the armie of heauen, and in the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, nor say vnto him, What doest thou?
Mmadụ niile bi nʼụwa
36 At the same time was mine vnderstanding restored vnto me, and I returned to the honour of my kingdome: my glory and my beautie was restored vnto me, and my counsellours and my princes sought vnto me, and I was established in my kingdome, and my glory was augmented toward me.
Mgbe uche m laghachiri dịka mmadụ, enwetaghachikwara m ugwu na nsọpụrụ na alaeze m. Ndị na-adụ m ọdụ laghachikwara bịakwute m, ha na ndị na-ejere m ozi. E mekwara ka m bụrụkwa eze ọzọ nʼalaeze m. Ugwu na nsọpụrụ m nwere ugbu a karịrị ugwu na nsọpụrụ m nwere nʼoge gara aga.
37 Now therefore I Nebuchad-nezzar prayse and extoll and magnifie the King of heauen, whose workes are all trueth, and his wayes iudgement, and those that walke in pride, he is able to abase.
Ugbu a, mụ bụ Nebukadneza na-eto, na-asọpụrụ Eze nke eluigwe, nʼihi na ọrụ ya niile dị mma, ụzọ ya niile kwụ ọtọ. Nʼihi na o nwere ike ijide ndị nganga kwanye ha ọnụ nʼime ntụ.
