Acts 13

1 There were also in the Church that was at Antiochia, certaine Prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen (which had bin brought vp with Herod the Tetrarche) and Saul.

Ug sa iglesia sa Antioquia didtoy mga profeta ug mga magtutudlo nga mao sila si Bernabe, si Simeon nga ginganlan ug Niger, si Lucio nga taga-Cirene, si Manaen nga kanhi sakop sa panimalay ni Herodes nga gobernador, ug si Saulo.

2 Nowe as they ministred to the Lord, and fasted, the holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the worke whereunto I haue called them.

Ug samtang nanagsimba sila sa Ginoo ug nanagpuasa, ang Espiritu Santo miingon, "Igahin kanako si Bernabe ug si Saulo alang sa bulohaton nga niini gitawag ko sila."

3 Then fasted they and prayed, and layde their hands on them, and let them goe.

Ug unya tapus sila managpuasa ug manag-ampo, sila mipandong sa ilang mga kamot sa ibabaw nila ug mipagikan kanila.

4 And they, after they were sent foorth of the holy Ghost, came downe vnto Seleucia, and from thence they sayled to Cyprus.

Busa, pinagikan sa Espiritu Santo, sila nanglugsong ngadto sa Seleucia; ug gikan didto misakay silag sakayan padulong sa Cipro.

5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the worde of God in the Synagogues of the Iewes: and they had also Iohn to their minister.

Ug sa paghiabut nila sa Salamina, ilang gimantala ang pulong sa Dios sulod sa mga sinagoga sa mga Judio. Ug si Juan didto uban kanila ingon nga katabang.

6 So when they had gone throughout the yle vnto Paphus, they found a certaine sorcerer, a false prophet, being a Iewe, named Bariesus,

Ug sa nalibut na nila ang tibuok pulo hangtud sa Pafos, ilang gikahibalag ang usa ka Judiyong salamangkiro ug profeta nga mini, nga ginganlan si Bar-Jesus.

7 Which was with the Deputie Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He called vnto him Barnabas and Saul, and desired to heare the woorde of God.

Siya uban sa gobernador nga si Sergio Paulo, nga maoy usa ka tawong masinabuton. Ug si Bernabe ug si Saulo gipakuha sa gobernador, ug gikan kanila iyang gitinguha ang pagpamati sa pulong sa Dios.

8 But Elymas, ye sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstoode them, and sought to turne away the Deputie from the faith.

Apan gisupak sila ni Elimas nga salamangkiro (kay mao man kana ang kahulogan sa iyang ngalan, ) nga naninguha sa pagpatipas sa gobernador gikan sa pagkamatinoohon.

9 Then Saul (which also is called Paul) being full of the holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

Apan si Saulo, nga ginganlan usab si Pablo, nga puno sa Epiritu Santo, mitutok kaniya

10 And sayde, O full of all subtiltie and all mischiefe, the childe of the deuill, and enemie of all righteousnesse, wilt thou not cease to peruert the straight waies of the Lord?

ug miingon, "Ikaw nga anak sa yawa, ikaw nga kaaway sa tanang pagkamatarung, puno sa tanang limbong ug lansis, dili ka ba mohunong sa pagtuis sa mga matul-id nga dalan sa Ginoo?

11 Nowe therefore behold, the hand of the Lord is vpon thee, and thou shalt be blinde, and not see the sunne for a season. And immediately there fel on him a mist and a darknes; and he went about, seeking some to leade him by the hand.

Ug karon, tan-awa, nahisakpan ka sa kamot sa Ginoo, ug ikaw mabuta ug dili na makakita sa Adlaw sulod sa usa ka panahon." Ug dihadiha mitakyap kaniya ang kangiob ug kangitngit, ug nagsukarap siya nga nangitag tawong makaagak kaniya sa kamot.

12 Then the Deputie when he sawe what was done, beleeued, and was astonied at the doctrine of the Lord.

Ug ang gobernador mitoo, sa pagkakita niya sa nahitabo, kay siya natingala sa tuloohan mahitungod sa Ginoo.

13 Nowe when Paul and they that were with him were departed by shippe from Paphus, they came to Perga a citie of Pamphylia: then Iohn departed from them, and returned to Hierusalem.

Ug unya si Pablo ug ang iyang mga kauban migikan sa Pafos sakay sa sakayan, ug midunggo sila sa Perge sa kayutaan sa Panfilia. Ug didto si Juan mibiya kanila ug mipauli sa Jerusalem;

14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antiochia a citie of Pisidia, and went into the Synagogue on ye Sabbath day, and sate downe.

apan sila mibaktas gikan sa Perge ug miabut sa Antioquia sa kayutaan sa Pisidia. Ug sa pagkaadlaw nga igpapahulay sila misulod sa sinagoga ug nanglingkod.

15 And after the lecture of the Law and Prophets, the rulers of ye Synagogue sent vnto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye haue any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Ug tapus sa pagbasa sa kasugoan ug sa mga profeta, sila gipasugoan sa mga punoan sa sinagoga, gipaingnan, "Mga igsoon, kon aduna kamoy pulong pagmaymay alang sa katawhan, isulti kana."

16 Then Paul stoode vp and beckened with the hand, and sayde, Men of Israel, and yee that feare God, hearken.

Ug si Pablo mitindog, ug sa nakasinyas siya sa kamot sa pagpahilum, miingon,

17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt in the land of Egypt, and with an high arme brought them out thereof.

Ang Dios niining katawhan sa Israel nagpili sa atong mga ginikanan; ug ang katawhan iyang gituboy sa panahon sa ilang pagpuyo didto sa yuta sa Egipto, ug sa bukton nga binakyaw iyang gipagula sila gikan didto.

18 And about the time of fourtie yeeres, suffered he their maners in the wildernesse.

Ug sulod sa mga kap-atan ka tuig, giantus niya ang ilang mga batasan didto sa kamingawan.

19 And he destroied seuen nations in the land of Chanaan, and deuided their lad to them by lot.

Ug sa iya nang nalaglag ang pito ka mga nasud sa yuta sa Canaan, ang kayutaan niini iyang gihatag kanila ingon nga kabilin sulod sa mga upat ka gatus ug kalim-an ka tuig.

20 Then afterward he gaue vnto them Iudges about foure hundreth and fiftie yeeres, vnto the time of Samuel the Prophet.

Ug tapus niana, iyang gihatagan silag mga maghuhukom hangtud kang Samuel nga profeta.

21 So after that, they desired a King, and God gaue vnto them Saul, the sonne of Cis, a man of ye tribe of Beniamin, by the space of fourty yeres.

Unya nangayo silag hari, ug kanila gihatag sa Dios si Saul nga anak ni Cis, usa ka tawo sa kabanayan ni Benjamin, nga naghari sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig.

22 And after he had taken him away, he raised vp Dauid to be their King, of whom he witnessed, saying, I haue found Dauid the sonne of Iesse, a man after mine owne heart, which will doe all things that I will.

Ug sa gikapalagpot na siya sa Dios, gituboy niya si David aron mahimong ilang hari, nga mahitungod kaniya ang Dios nanghimatuod ug nag-ingon, `Diha kang David nga anak ni Jese, nakakaplag akog tawo nga tukma sa akong kasingkasing; siya magatuman sa tanan kong mga pagbuot.'

23 Of this mans seede hath God according to his promise raised vp to Israel, ye Sauiour Iesus:

Gikan sa mga kaliwat niining tawhana, sa Dios ang Israel gidad-an ug Manluluwas nga mao si Jesus, sumala sa iyang gisaad.

24 When Iohn had first preached before his coming the baptisme of repentance to all the people of Israel.

Sa wala pa kini siya moabut, si Juan nagwali mahitungod sa bautismo sa paghinulsol ngadto sa tanang katawhan sa Israel.

25 And when Iohn had fulfilled his course, he saide, Whom ye thinke that I am, I am not he: but beholde, there commeth one after me, whose shooe of his feete I am not worthy to loose.

Ug sa naghinapos na si Juan sa iyang paningkamot, siya miingon, `Unsa may inyong pagdahum kanako? Ako dili mao siya, hinonoa, sa akong ulahi adunay umaabut, nga sa mga sapin sa iyang mga tiil dili gani ako takus sa pagbadbad.'

26 Yee men and brethren, children of the generation of Abraham, and whosoeuer among you feareth God, to you is the woorde of this saluation sent.

"Mga igsoon, mga anak sa kaliwatan ni Abraham, ug tanan kaninyo nga mga mahadlokon sa Dios, kita mao ang gipadad-an sa pulong mahitungod niining maong kaluwasan.

27 For the inhabitants of Hierusalem, and their rulers, because they knewe him not, nor yet the woordes of the Prophets, which are read euery Sabbath day, they haue fulfilled them in condemning him.

Kay ang mga nagapuyo sa Jerusalem ug ang ilang mga punoan, tungod sa ilang wala pagpakaila kaniya ug sa ilang wala pagpakasabut sa mga sulti sa mga profeta nga ginabasa sa matag-adlaw nga igpapahulay, nanagpakatuman niini pinaagi sa ilang pagsilot kaniya sa kamatayon.

28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate to kill him.

Ug bisan pa nga wala silay hingkaplagan nga bisan unsa batok kaniya nga takus sa kamatayon, ila gayud nga gipangayo kang Pilato nga ipapatay siya.

29 And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, they tooke him downe from the tree, and put him in a sepulchre.

Ug sa ila nang natuman ang tanang nahisulat mahitungod kaniya, siya gihugos nila gikan sa kahoy, ug ilang gibutang sa usa ka lubnganan.

30 But God raised him vp from the dead.

Apan gibanhaw siya sa Dios gikan sa mga patay;

31 And hee was seene many dayes of them, which came vp with him from Galile to Hierusalem, which are his witnesses vnto the people.

ug sulod sa daghang mga adlaw siya nagpakita kanila nga mga nanagpanungas uban kaniya gikan sa Galilea ngadto sa Jerusalem, nga mao karon ang iyang mga saksi ngadto sa katawhan.

32 And we declare vnto you, that touching the promise made vnto the fathers,

Ug kaninyo among ginamantala ang Maayong Balita nga ang gisaad sa Dios ngadto sa atong mga ginikanan,

33 God hath fulfilled it vnto vs their children, in that he raised vp Iesus, euen as it is written in the seconde Psalme, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee.

kini iya nang natuman nganhi kanato nga ilang mga kaanakan pinaagi sa pagpatindog kang Jesus; maingon nga nahisulat usab kini sa ikaduhang salmo, nga nag-ingon: `Ikaw akong Anak, karong adlawa ako nahimong imong Amahan.'

34 Nowe as concerning that he raised him vp from the dead, no more to returne to corruption, he hath said thus, I wil giue you the holy things of Dauid, which are faithfull.

Ug mahitungod sa iyang pagbanhaw kaniya gikan sa mga patay, sa wala nay pagbalik ngadto sa kadunotan, siya misulti sa ingon niini: `Ihatag ko kaninyo ang balaan ug kasaligan nga mga panalangin nga gisaad ngadto kang David.'

35 Wherefore hee sayeth also in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thine Holy one to see corruption.

Tungod niini siya nagaingon usab sa laing salmo: `Dili mo man itugot nga ang imong Balaan moagig pagkadunot.'

36 Howbeit, Dauid after hee had serued his time by the counsell of God, hee slept, and was laid with his fathers, and sawe corruption.

Kay si David, tapus makaalagad sa katuyoan sa Dios diha sa iyang kaugalingong kaliwatan, namatay ug gilubong ipon sa iyang mga ginikanan, ug miagig pagkadunot.

37 But he whom God raised vp, sawe no corruption.

Apan siya nga gibanhaw sa Dios wala moagig pagkadunot.

38 Be it knowen vnto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached vnto you the forgiuenesse of sinnes.

Busa, mga igsoon, kinahanglan inyong mahibaloan nga pinaagi niining tawhana ginamantala karon kaninyo ang kapasayloan sa mga sala,

39 And from al things, from which ye could not be iustified by the Law of Moses, by him euery one that beleeueth, is iustified.

ug nga pinaagi kaniya ang tanan nga nagatoo gipahigawas na gikan sa tanang butang, nga gikan niini ang kasugoan ni Moises wala makahimo sa pagpahigawas kaninyo.

40 Beware therefore lest that come vpon you, which is spoken of in the Prophets,

Busa, magmatngon kamo nga dili mahitabo kaninyo ang ginaingon diha sa basahon sa mga profeta:

41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish away: for I woorke a woorke in your daies, a woorke which yee shall not beleeue, if a man would declare it you.

`Tan-awa, kamong mga mayubiton, panghitingala ug pangawagtang kamo; kay sa inyong mga adlaw pagabu-haton ko ang usa ka buhat, usa ka buhat nga dili gayud ninyo pagatoohan, bisan pa kon adunay magasugilon kaninyo niini.'"

42 And when they were come out of the Synagogue of the Iewes, the Gentiles besought, that they woulde preach these woordes to them the next Sabbath day.

Ug sa pagpanggula nila ni Pablo ug ni Bernabe, ang mga tawo mihangyo kanila nga kining mga butanga ikausab unta pagsugilon kanila sa sunod nga adlaw nga igpapahulay.

43 Nowe when the congregation was dissolued, many of the Iewes and Proselytes that feared God, followed Paul and Barnabas, which spake to them, and exhorted them to continue in the grace of God.

Ug pagkatapus na sa tigum sa sinagoga, daghang mga Judio ug mga masimbahong kinabig ngadto sa tinoohan sa mga Judio mikuyog kang Pablo ug Bernabe, nga misulti kanila ug miagda kanila sa pagpadayon diha sa grasya sa Dios.

44 And ye next Sabbath day came almost the whole citie together, to heare the worde of God.

Ug sa pagkasunod nga adlaw nga igpapahulay, hapit ang tanang nanag-puyo sa siyudad nagkatigum sa pagpatalinghug sa pulong sa Dios.

45 But when the Iewes saw the people, they were full of enuie, and spake against those things, which were spoken of Paul, contrarying them, and railing on them.

Apan sa pagkakita sa mga Judio sa panon sa katawhan, sila napuno sa kasina, ug ilang gisupak ang mga gipanulti ni Pablo, ug ilang gipasipalahan siya.

46 Then Paul and Barnabas spake boldly, and sayde, It was necessarie that the woorde of God shoulde first haue beene spoken vnto you: but seeing yee put it from you, and iudge your selues vnworthie of euerlasting life, loe, we turne to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)

Ug si Pablo ug si Bernabe, sa walay kokahadlok, miingon, "Kinahanglan gayud nga ang pulong sa Dios anha igauna sa pagmantala kaninyo. Apan kay inyo man kining gisalikway ug inyong gihukman ang inyong kaugalingon nga dili takus sa kinabuhing dayon, tan-awa, kami mangadto sa mga Gentil. (aiōnios g166)

47 For so hath the Lord commanded vs, saying, I haue made thee a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be the saluation vnto the end of the world.

Kay sa ingon niini gisugo kami sa Ginoo nga nag-ingon: `Gipahimutang ko ikaw nga kahayag sa mga Gentil, aron pagadad-on mo ang kaluwasan hangtud sa kinatumyan sa yuta.'"

48 And when the Gentiles heard it, they were glad, and glorified the woorde of the Lord: and as many as were ordeined vnto eternall life, beleeued. (aiōnios g166)

Ug sa pagkadungog niini sa mga Gentil, sila nangalipay ug ilang gidalayeg ang pulong sa Dios; ug nanagpanoo ang tanan nga gikatagana nang daan alang sa kinabuhing dayon. (aiōnios g166)

49 Thus the worde of the Lord was published throughout the whole countrey.

Ug ang pulong sa Ginoo mikaylap sa tibuok kayutaan.

50 But the Iewes stirred certaine deuoute and honourable women, and the chiefe men of the citie, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coastes.

Apan ang mga Judio mihulhog sa mga inilang kababayen-an nga mga masimbahon ug sa mga kadag-kuan sa siyudad, ug ilang gipalihok ang pagpanglutos batok kang Pablo ug kang Bernabe, ug ilang kayutaan.

51 But they shooke off the dust of their feete against them, and came vnto Iconium.

Apan sila nanaktak sa mga abog gikan sa ilang mga tiil batok kanila, ug nangadto sa Iconio.

52 And the disciples were filled with ioy, and with the holy Ghost.

Ug ang mga tinun-an napuno sa kalipay ug sa Espiritu Santo.
