Acts 12
1 Nowe about that time, Herod the King stretched forth his hands to vexe certaine of the Church,
Ug sa maong panahon, si Herodes nga hari mibakyaw sa iyang mga kamot aron sa pagdagmal sa pipila ka mga sakop sa iglesia.
2 And he killed Iames the brother of Iohn with the sword.
Ug pinaagi sa espada iyang gipatay si Santiago nga igsoon ni Juan.
3 And when he sawe that it pleased the Iewes, he proceeded further, to take Peter also (then were the dayes of vnleauened bread.)
Ug sa iyang pagtan-aw nga kini nakapahimuot diay sa mga Judio, iyang gipadakop si Pedro usab. Ug nahitabo kadto sa mga adlaw sa Tinapay nga Walay Igpapatubo.
4 And when he had caught him, he put him in prison, and deliuered him to foure quaternions of souldiers to be kept, intending after the Passeouer to bring him foorth to the people.
Ug sa iya nang hingdakpan si Pedro, iyang gibanlud siya sa bilanggoan, ug iyang gitugyan aron bantayan siya sa upat ka bantay sa tinagup-at ka mga sundalo, sa tuyo nga inigkaliwas sa Pasko iyang paatubangon siya sa katawhan.
5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer was made of ye Church vnto God for him.
Busa si Pedro gibantayan sulod sa bilanggoan. Apan alang kaniya gihimo sa iglesia ang mainit nga pag-ampo ngadto sa Dios.
6 And when Herod woulde haue brought him out vnto the people, the same night slept Peter betweene two souldiers, bound with two chaines, and the keepers before the doore, kept the prison.
Ug sa maong gabii sa wala pa ang sunod nga adlaw sa pagpakuha unta kaniya ni Herodes, si Pedro nga gigapos ug duha ka talikala nagkatulog taliwala sa duha ka sundalo; ug sa atbang sa pultahan dihay mga bantay nga nanagbantay sa bilanggoan.
7 And behold the Angel of the Lord came vpon them, and a light shined in the house, and he smote Peter on the side, and raysed him vp, saying, Arise quickely. And his chaines fell off from his handes.
Ug tan-awa, mitungha ang usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo, ug misidlak ang usa ka kahayag sulod sa bilanggoan; ug si Pedro iyang gidagpi sa kilid ug iyang gipukaw nga nag-ingon, "Bumangon ka sa madali." Ug ang mga talikala natangtang gikan sa mga kamot ni Pedro.
8 And the Angel saide vnto him, Girde thy selfe, and binde on thy sandales. And so he did. Then he said vnto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.
Ug ang manolunda miingon kaniya, "Pagsinina ug isul-ob ang imong mga sapin." Ug iyang gibuhat kini. Ug siya miingon kaniya, "Pagkupo ug sumunod ka kanako."
9 So Peter came out and followed him, and knewe not that it was true, which was done by the Angel, but thought he had seene a vision.
Ug si Pedro migula ug minunot kaniya; ug wala siya makaila nga tinuod kadtong gibuhat sa manolunda, apan maoy iyang hunahuna nga siya nakakitag usa ka panan-awon.
10 Nowe when they were past the first and the second watch, they came vnto the yron gate, that leadeth vnto the citie, which opened to them by it owne accord, and they went out, and passed through one streete, and by and by the Angel departed from him.
Ug sa paghilabay na nila sa nahauna ug ikaduhang bantay, nahiabut sila sa pultahang puthaw nga agianan padulong sa siyudad. Ug kanila kining pultahana naablig iyaiya ra, ug sila nanggula ug mipadayon paglakaw agi sa usa ka dalan; ug unya sa kalit ang manolunda mipahawa kaniya.
11 And when Peter was come to himselfe, he said, Nowe I know for a trueth, that the Lord hath sent his Angel, and hath deliuered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the wayting for of the people of the Iewes.
Ug sa nahaulian na si Pedro, siya miingon, "Karon naila ko na sa pagkatinuod nga ang Ginoo nagpadala sa iyang manolunda ug nagpahigawas kanako gikan sa kamot ni Herodes ug gikan sa tanang gipaabut unta sa katilingban sa mga Judio."
12 And as he considered the thing, he came to the house of Marie, the mother of Iohn, whose surname was Marke, where many were gathered together, and prayed.
Ug sa nasabtan na niya kini, siya miadto sa balay ni Maria, ang inahan ni Juan nga ginganlan usab ug Marcos, diin didtoy daghang nagkatigum ug nanag-ampo.
13 And when Peter knocked at the entrie doore, a maide came foorth to hearken, named Rhode,
Ug sa pagtuktok niya sa pultahan sa gawas, usa ka dalagitang binatonan nga ginganlan si Rode miadto aron sa pagtubag.
14 But when she knew Peters voyce, she opened not the entrie doore for gladnesse, but ranne in, and tolde howe Peter stood before the entrie.
Ug sa naila niya ang tingog ni Pedro, sa iyang kalipay wala niya maablihi ang pultahan, kondili midalagan hinoon siya sa sulod ug iyang gitaho nga si Pedro didto sa pultahan nagtindog.
15 But they said vnto her, Thou art mad. Yet she affirmed it constantly, that it was so. Then said they, It is his Angel.
Apan sila miingon kaniya, "Nagsalimoang ka." Apan iya gayud nga gilabanan nga didto gayud siya. Ug sila nanag-ingon, "Iya kadtong manolunda!"
16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they had opened it, and sawe him, they were astonied.
Apan si Pedro mipadayon sa pagtuktok; ug sa pag-abli nila sa pultahan, ilang nakita siya ug nahitingala sila.
17 And he beckened vnto them with the hand, to hold their peace, and told them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he saide, Goe shewe these things vnto Iames and to the brethren: and he departed and went into an other place.
Ug sa iyang nasinyasan sila sa kamot aron managhilum, iyang gitaho kanila giunsa sa Ginoo ang pagpahigawas kaniya gikan sa bilanggoan. Ug siya miingon, "Isugilon ninyo kini kang Santiago ug sa kaig-soonan." Ug siya mipahawa ug miadto sa laing dapit.
18 Nowe assoone as it was day, there was no small trouble among the souldiers, what was become of Peter.
Ug sa pagkabuntag na, dili diyutay ang kabalaka sa mga sundalo kon naunsa na kaha si Pedro.
19 And when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded them to be led to be punished. And he went downe from Iudea to Cesarea, and there abode.
Ug sa nakapangita na si Herodes kaniya ug wala niya hikit-i siya, iyang giusisa ang mga bantay ug nagsugo nga ipapatay sila. Ug unya gikan sa Judea milugsong siya ngadto sa Cesarea, ug mipabilin didto.
20 Then Herod was angrie with them of Tyrus and Sidon, but they came all with one accord vnto him, and perswaded Blastus the Kings Chamberlaine, and they desired peace, because their countrey was nourished by the Kings land.
Ug nahitabo nga si Herodes nasilag pag-ayo batok sa mga taga-Tiro ug sa mga taga-Sidon; apan kini sila nangadto kaniya sa tingob; ug tapus nila madani si Blasto, ang tigtagad sa lawak-higdaanan sa hari, sila nangamuyo nga makigdait sa hari sanglit ang gisaligan sa ilang kayutaan alang sa pagkaon mao man ang kayutaan sa hari.
21 And vpon a day appointed, Herod arayed himselfe in royall apparell, and sate on the iudgement seate, and made an oration vnto them.
Ug sa adlaw nga gitagal, si Herodes misul-ob sa iyang harianong bisti, milingkod sa iyang trono, ug mihatag kanilag usa ka pakigpulong.
22 And the people gaue a shoute, saying, The voyce of God, and not of man.
Ug naninggit ang mga tawo nga nag-ingon, "Kana tingog sa usa ka dios, dili sa tawo!"
23 But immediatly the Angel of the Lord smote him, because he gaue not glorie vnto God, so that he was eaten of wormes, and gaue vp the ghost.
Ug dihadiha gihampak siya sa usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo tungod kay wala niya ihatag ang pagdalayeg ngadto sa Dios. Ug gikaon siya sa mga ulod ug namatay.
24 And the worde of God grewe, and multiplied.
Apan ang pulong sa Dios mitubo ug misanay.
25 So Barnabas and Saul returned from Hierusalem, when they had fulfilled their office, and tooke with them Iohn, whose surname was Marke.
Ug si Bernabe ug si Saulo, tapus makatuman sa ilang pagpang-alagad, namauli gikan sa Jerusalem nga nanagdala kang Juan nga ginganlan usab ug Marcos.
