2 Samuel 15
1 After this, Absalom prepared him charets and horses, and fiftie men to runne before him.
சிறிது காலத்தின்பின் அப்சலோம் ஒரு தேரையும், குதிரைகளையும், தனக்கு முன்னால் செல்லத்தக்க ஐம்பது பேரையும் தேடிக்கொண்டான்.
2 And Absalom rose vp early, and stoode hard by the entring in of the gate: and euery man that had any matter, and came to the King for iudgement, him did Absalom call vnto him, and sayde, Of what citie art thou? And he answered, Thy seruant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
மேலும் அப்சலோம் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து பட்டண வாசலுக்குச் செல்லும் பாதையோரத்தில் நிற்பான். யாராவது தன் முறையீட்டுடன் அரசனிடம் தீர்ப்பைக் கேட்க வரும்போது அப்சலோம் அவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு அவனிடம், “நீ எந்த பட்டணத்தான்?” என்று கேட்பான். அவன், “உமது அடியவன் இஸ்ரயேல் கோத்திரத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவன்” என்பான்.
3 Then Absalom said vnto him, See, thy matters are good and righteous, but there is no man deputed of the King to heare thee.
அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் அவனிடம், “பார், உன் வழக்கு உண்மையும் தகுதியுமானது. ஆனால் உன் முறையீட்டை விசாரிக்க அரசனின் பிரதிநிதி ஒருவனும் இல்லையே.
4 Absalom sayd moreouer, Oh that I were made Iudge in the lande, that euery man which hath any matter of controuersie, might come to me, that I might do him iustice.
மேலும் அப்சலோம், நான் இந்த நாட்டின் நீதிபதியாய் நியமிக்கப்பட்டால், வழக்கோ முறையீடோ உள்ள அனைவரும் என்னிடம் வரலாம். நான் அவனுக்கு நியாயம் வழங்கும்படி பார்த்துக்கொள்வேன்” என்பான்.
5 And when any man came neere to him, and did him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and tooke him, and kissed him.
அத்துடன் யாராவது அப்சலோம் முன்வந்து வணங்கினால் அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டி அவனை அணைத்து முத்தமிடுவான்.
6 And on this maner did Absalom to al Israel, that came to the King for iudgement: so Absalom stale the hearts of the men of Israel.
இவ்விதமாகவே அப்சலோம் அரசனிடம் நீதி கேட்டு வரும் இஸ்ரயேலர் அனைவருக்கும் செய்து, இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் மனதைக் கவர்ந்தான்.
7 And after fourtie yeeres, Absalom sayd vnto the King, I pray thee, let me go to Hebron, and render my vowe which I haue vowed vnto the Lord.
நான்கு வருடங்களுக்குப் பின்பு அப்சலோம் அரசனிடம், “நான் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செய்துள்ள நேர்த்திக்கடனை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்கு எப்ரோனுக்குப் போவதற்கு என்னைப் போகவிடும்.
8 For thy seruant vowed a vowe when I remayned at Geshur, in Aram, saying, If the Lord shall bring me againe in deede to Ierusalem, I will serue the Lord.
உமது அடியவன் சீரியாவிலுள்ள கேசூரில் இருக்கும்போது யெகோவா என்னை மறுபடியும் எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தால், எப்ரோனிலே யெகோவாவை வழிபடுவேன் என்று இந்த நேர்த்திக்கடனைச் செய்தேன்” என்றான்.
9 And the King sayd vnto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hebron.
தாவீது அரசன் அப்சலோமிடம், “சமாதானத்தோடே போய்வா” என்றான். எனவே அவன் எப்ரோனுக்குப் போனான்.
10 Then Absalom sent spyes throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, When yee heare the sound of the trumpet, Ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.
ஆனால் அப்சலோமோ இஸ்ரயேல் கோத்திரங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இரகசியமாய் தூதுவரை அனுப்பி, “எக்காள சத்தம் கேட்டவுடனே, நீங்கள், ‘அப்சலோமே எப்ரோனின் அரசன்’ என்று சத்தமிடுங்கள்” எனச் சொல்லியிருந்தான்.
11 And with Absalom went two hundreth men out of Ierusalem, that were called: and they went in their simplicitie, knowing nothing.
எருசலேமிலிருந்து இருநூறுபேர் அப்சலோமோடு சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் விருந்தாளிகளாய் அழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அப்சலோமின் சூழ்ச்சியைப்பற்றி ஒன்றுமே அறியாதவர்களாயிருந்தார்கள்.
12 Also Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite Dauids counseller, from his citie Giloh, while he offred sacrifices: and the treason was great: for the people encreased still with Absalom.
அப்சலோம் பலிகளை செலுத்தும்போது, தாவீதின் ஆலோசகனான அகிதோப்பேல் என்னும் கீலொனியனை அவனுடைய சொந்தப் பட்டணமான கிலொவிலிருந்து வரும்படி ஆளனுப்பினான். அப்படியே சதித்திட்டமும் வலுவடைந்து, அப்சலோமின் ஆதரவாளர்களும் பெருகினார்கள்.
13 Then came a messenger to Dauid, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are turned after Absalom.
அப்பொழுது ஒரு தூதுவன் தாவீதிடம் வந்து, “இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களின் இருதயங்கள் அப்சலோமுடன் சேர்ந்திருக்கிறது” என்று சொன்னான்.
14 Then Dauid sayd vnto all his seruants that were with him at Ierusalem, Vp, and let vs flee: for we shall not escape from Absalom: make speede to depart, lest he come suddenly and take vs, and bring euill vpon vs, and smite the citie with the edge of the sworde.
இதைக் கேட்ட தாவீது தன்னுடன் எருசலேமில் இருந்த எல்லா அதிகாரிகளிடமும், “வாருங்கள் நாம் இங்கிருந்து தப்பியோடுவோம். இல்லையென்றால் நம்மில் ஒருவனும் அப்சலோமிடமிருந்து தப்பமாட்டோம். உடனே நாம் இவ்விடத்தை விட்டு புறப்படவேண்டும். இல்லாவிட்டால் அவன் நம்மைப் பிடிக்கும்படி விரைந்துவந்து நம்மேல் அழிவைக் கொண்டுவந்து பட்டணத்தையும் வாளுக்கு இரையாக்குவான்” என்றான்.
15 And the Kings seruants sayd vnto him, Behold, thy seruants are ready to do according to all that my lord the King shall appoynt.
அப்பொழுது அரச அதிகாரிகள் அரசனிடம், “எங்கள் தலைவனாகிய அரசன் சொன்னபடி செய்வதற்கு உமது அடியவராகிய நாங்கள் ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறோம்” என்றார்கள்.
16 So the King departed and all his houshold after him, and the King left ten concubines to keepe the house.
எனவே அரசன் தன் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவரும் பின்தொடர அவ்விடம்விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டான். ஆனாலும் தன் வைப்பாட்டிகள் பத்துப்பேரைத் தன் அரண்மனையைப் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளும்படி விட்டுப்போனான்.
17 And the King went forth and all the people after him, and taried in a place farre off.
இவ்வாறு அரசன் தன் மக்கள் அனைவரும் பின்தொடரப் புறப்பட்டான். அவர்கள் சிறிது தூரம் போனபின் தரித்து நின்றார்கள்.
18 And all his seruants went about him, and all the Cherethites and all the Pelethites and all the Gittites, euen sixe hudreth men which were come after him from Gath, went before the King.
அவனுடைய மனிதர்கள் கிரேத்தியர், பிலேத்தியர் என்பவர்களுடன் அணிவகுத்து அவனைக் கடந்து சென்றார்கள். காத்தூரிலிருந்து அவனுடன் வந்த அறுநூறு கித்தியரும் அரசனுக்கு முன்பாக அணிவகுத்துச் சென்றார்கள்.
19 Then sayde the King to Ittai the Gittite, Wherefore commest thou also with vs? Returne aud abide with the King, for thou art a stranger: depart thou therefore to thy place.
அப்பொழுது அரசன் கித்தியனான ஈத்தாயிடம், “நீ ஏன் எங்களுடன் வரவேண்டும்? நீ திரும்பிப்போய் அரசன் அப்சலோமுடன் தங்கியிரு. நீ உன் நாட்டிலிருந்து நாடுகடத்தப்பட்ட அந்நியன் அல்லவா?
20 Thou camest yesterday, and should I cause thee to wander to day and go with vs? I will goe whither I can: therefore returne thou and cary againe thy brethren: mercy and trueth be with thee.
நீ நேற்றுதானே இங்கு வந்தாய்? நான் எங்கே போகிறேனென எனக்கே தெரியாமல் இருக்கும்போது, உன்னையும் எங்களுடன் அலைந்து திரியச் செய்வானேன்? நீ உன் உறவினரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு திரும்பிப்போ; தயவும் உண்மையும் உங்களோடிருப்பதாக” என்றான்.
21 And Ittai answered the King, and sayde, As the Lord liueth, and as my lord the King liueth, in what place my lord the King shalbe, whether in death or life, euen there surely will thy seruant bee.
அதற்கு ஈத்தாய் அரசனிடம், “யெகோவா இருப்பதும், என் தலைவராகிய அரசன் வாழ்வதும் நிச்சயம்போல, நீர் எங்கெல்லாம் இருப்பீரோ வாழ்விலும் சாவிலும் நானும் அங்கெல்லாம் இருப்பேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்” என்றான்.
22 Then Dauid sayd to Ittai, Come, and go forward. And Ittai the Gittite went, and all his men, and all the children that were with him.
தாவீது ஈத்தாயிடம், “நீ முன்னால் அணிவகுத்துச் செல்” என்றான். எனவே கித்தியனான ஈத்தாய் அவனுடைய எல்லா மனிதருடனும், குடும்பங்களுடனும் அணிவகுத்துச் சென்றான்.
23 And all the countrey wept with a loude voyce, and all the people went forward, but the King passed ouer the brooke Kidron: and all the people went ouer toward the way of ye wildernes.
மக்கள் எல்லோரும் கடந்துசெல்கையில் நாட்டுப்புற மக்கள் எல்லோரும் சத்தமிட்டு அழுதார்கள். அரசனும் கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கைக் கடந்து சென்றான். மக்கள் பாலைவனத்தை நோக்கிச் சென்றார்கள்.
24 And lo, Zadok also was there, and all the Leuites with him, bearing the Arke of the couenant of God: and they set downe the Arke of God, and Abiathar went vp vntill the people were all come out of the citie.
அவர்களுடன் சாதோக்கும் அங்கேயிருந்தான். அவனுடன் இருந்த லேவியர் இறைவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமந்துகொண்டு சென்றனர். அவர்கள் இறைவனின் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை இறக்கி வைத்தார்கள். மக்களனைவரும் பட்டணத்தைவிட்டு வெளியேறி முடியும்வரைக்கும் அபியத்தார் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தினான்.
25 Then the King said vnto Zadok, Carie the Arke of God againe into the citie: if I shall finde fauour in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me againe, and shewe me both it, and the Tabernacle thereof.
பின்பு அரசன் சாதோக்கிடம், “இறைவனுடைய பெட்டியை பட்டணத்திற்குத் திரும்பவும் கொண்டுபோங்கள். யெகோவாவின் கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைத்தால், அவர் என்னைத் திரும்பிவரச் செய்து உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியையும் இறைவனின் உறைவிடத்தையும் மறுபடியும் காணச்செய்வார்.
26 But if he thus say, I haue no delite in thee, behold, here am I, let him doe to me as seemeth good in his eyes.
ஆனால், ‘உன்மேல் எனக்குப் பிரியமில்லை’ என்று சொல்வாரானால் அவர் தனக்கு எது நல்லது எனத் தோன்றுகிறதோ அதை எனக்குச் செய்வாராக; நான் அதற்கு ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
27 The King sayde againe vnto Zadok the Priest, Art not thou a Seer? returne into the citie in peace, and your two sonnes with you: to wit, Ahimaaz thy sonne, and Ionathan the sonne of Abiathar.
மேலும் அரசன் சாதோக் என்னும் ஆசாரியனிடம், “நீ ஒரு தரிசனக்காரனல்லவா? நீ உன் மகன் அகிமாஸுடனும், அபியத்தாரின் மகன் யோனத்தானுடனும் சமாதானத்தோடே பட்டணத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போ. நீயும் அபியத்தாரும் உங்கள் இரண்டு மகன்களையும் உங்களுடன் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு போங்கள்.
28 Behold, I wil tarie in the fieldes of the wildernesse, vntill there come some worde from you to be tolde me.
உங்களிடமிருந்து எனக்கு செய்தி வருமட்டும் நான் காடுகளிலுள்ள துறைமுகங்களில் காத்திருப்பேன்” என்றான்.
29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar caried the Arke of God againe to Ierusalem, and they taried there.
எனவே சாதோக்கும், அபியத்தாரும் மறுபடியும் இறைவனுடைய பெட்டியை எருசலேமுக்கு கொண்டுபோய் அங்கே தங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.
30 And Dauid went vp the mount of oliues and wept as he went vp, and had his head couered, and went barefooted: and al the people that was with him, had euery man his head couered, and as they went vp, they wept.
ஆனால் தாவீதோ துக்கத்துடன் அழுது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொண்டு, வெறுங்காலால் நடந்து ஒலிவமலையின்மேல் ஏறிச் சென்றான். அவனோடிருந்த மக்களனைவருங்கூட தங்கள் தலைகளை மூடிக்கொண்டு அழுதுகொண்டே போனார்கள்.
31 Then one tolde Dauid, saying, Ahithophel is one of them that haue cospired with Absalom: and Dauid sayde, O Lord, I pray thee, turne the counsell of Ahithophel into foolishnesse.
அப்பொழுது அப்சலோமோடு சேர்ந்து சூழ்ச்சி செய்தவர்களில் அகிதோப்பேலும் ஒருவன் என்று தாவீதுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள். எனவே தாவீது, “யெகோவாவே! அகிதோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனைகளை மூடத்தனமாக்கிவிடும்” என்று மன்றாடினான்.
32 Then Dauid came to the toppe of the mount where he worshipped God: and beholde, Hushai the Archite came against him with his coate torne, and hauing earth vpon his head.
மக்கள் இறைவனை வழிபடும் மலை உச்சிக்குத் தாவீது வந்து சேர்ந்தபோது, அர்கியனான ஊசாய் கிழிந்த மேலுடையுடனும், புழுதிபடிந்த தலையுடனும் தாவீதைச் சந்திக்கும்படி அங்கே ஓடிவந்தான்.
33 Vnto whom Dauid sayd, If thou goe with me, thou shalt be a burthen vnto me.
அப்பொழுது தாவீது அவனிடம், “நீ என்னுடன் வந்தாயானால் எனக்குப் பாரமாயிருப்பாய்;
34 But if thou returne to the citie, and say vnto Absalom, I wil be thy seruant, O King, (as I haue bene in time past thy fathers seruant, so will I now be thy seruant) then thou mayest bring me the counsell of Ahithophel to nought.
ஆகையால் நீ பட்டணத்திற்கு திரும்பிப்போய் அப்சலோமிடம், ‘அரசே, முன்பு உமது தகப்பனுக்கு பணியாளாய் இருந்ததுபோல் இப்போது உமக்குப் பணியாளனாயிருப்பேன்’ என்று சொல்; அப்பொழுது அகிதோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனையை பலனற்றதாகச்செய்ய எனக்கு நீ உதவுவாய்.
35 And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the Priests? therefore what so euer thou shalt heare out of the Kings house, thou shalt shew to Zadok and Abiathar the Priests.
உன்னோடு அங்கே சாதோக், அபியத்தார் என்னும் ஆசாரியர்கள் இருப்பார்கள். நீ அரச அரண்மனையில் கேள்விப்படும் எதையும் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்.
36 Beholde, there are with them their two sonnes: Ahimaaz Zadoks sonne, and Ionathan Abiathars sonne: by them also shall ye send me euery thing that ye can heare.
அங்கே அவர்களோடு சாதோக்கின் மகன் அகிமாஸும், அபியத்தாரின் மகன் யோனத்தானுமாக இரண்டு மகன்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். கேள்விப்படும் எல்லா செய்தியுடனும் அவர்களை என்னிடம் அனுப்பு” என்று சொன்னான்.
37 So Hushai Dauids friend went into the citie: and Absalom came into Ierusalem.
அப்படியே அப்சலோம் எருசலேம் பட்டணத்திற்குள் வரும்போது, தாவீதின் சிநேகிதனான ஊசாயும் அங்கு வந்துசேர்ந்தான்.
