2 Corinthians 7
1 Seing then we haue these promises, dearely beloued, let vs clense our selues from all filthinesse of the flesh and spirit, and finish our sanctification in the feare of God.
Teniendo, pues, carísimos, tales promesas, purifiquémonos de toda contaminación de carne y de espíritu, santificándonos cada vez más con un santo temor de Dios.
2 Receiue vs: we haue done wrong to no man: we haue corrupted no man: we haue defrauded no man.
Dadnos acogida. A nadie hemos agraviado, a nadie hemos corrompido, a nadie hemos explotado.
3 I speake it not to your condemnation: for I haue said before, that ye are in our hearts, to die and liue together.
No lo digo para condenar; pues ya he dicho que estáis en nuestros corazones, para morir juntos, y juntos vivir.
4 I vse great boldnesse of speach toward you: I reioyce greatly in you: I am filled with comfort, and am exceeding ioyous in all our tribulation.
Mucha es mi franqueza con vosotros; mucho lo que me glorío de vosotros; estoy lleno de consuelo, reboso de gozo en medio de toda nuestra tribulación.
5 For when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on euery side, fightings without, and terrours within.
Porque llegados nosotros a Macedonia, no tuvo nuestra carne ningún reposo, sino que de todas maneras éramos atribulados; por fuera luchas, por dentro temores.
6 But God, that comforteth the abiect, comforted vs at the comming of Titus:
Pero Dios, el que consuela a los humildes, nos ha consolado con la llegada de Tito;
7 And not by his comming onely, but also by the consolation wherewith he was comforted of you, when he tolde vs your great desire, your mourning, your feruent minde to me warde, so that I reioyced much more.
y no tan solo con su llegada, sino también con el consuelo que Él experimentó por causa de vosotros, cuando nos contó vuestra ansia, vuestro llanto, vuestro celo por mí; de suerte que creció aún más mi gozo.
8 For though I made you sorie with a letter, I repent not, though I did repent: for I perceiue that the same epistle made you sorie, though it were but for a season.
Porque, aunque os contristé con aquella carta, no me pesa. Y aun cuando me pesaba —pues veo que aquella carta os contristó, bien que por breve tiempo—
9 I nowe reioyce, not that ye were sorie, but that ye sorowed to repentance: for ye sorowed godly, so that in nothing ye were hurt by vs.
ahora me alegro; no de que os hayáis contristado, sino que os contristasteis para arrepentimiento; porque os contristasteis según Dios, y así en nada sufristeis daño de nuestra parte.
10 For godly sorowe causeth repentance vnto saluation, not to be repented of: but the worldly sorowe causeth death.
Puesto que la tristeza que es según Dios, obra arrepentimiento para salvación, que no debe apenarnos; en cambio, la tristeza del mundo obra muerte.
11 For beholde, this thing that ye haue bene godly sory, what great care it hath wrought in you: yea, what clearing of yourselues: yea, what indignation: yea, what feare: yea, howe great desire: yea, what a zeale: yea, what reuenge: in all things ye haue shewed your selues, that ye are pure in this matter.
Pues ved, esto mismo de haberos contristado según Dios, ¡qué solicitud ha producido en vosotros, y qué empeño por justificaros; qué indignación, qué temor, qué anhelos, qué celo y qué vindicación! En toda forma os mostrasteis intachables en aquel asunto.
12 Wherefore, though I wrote vnto you, I did not it for his cause that had done the wrong, neither for his cause that had the iniurie, but that our care toward you in the sight of God might appeare vnto you.
Así, pues, si os escribí, no fue por causa del que cometió el agravio, ni por causa del que lo padeció, sino para que vuestra solicitud por nosotros se manifestase entre vosotros en la presencia de Dios.
13 Therefore we were comforted, because ye were comforted: but rather we reioyced much more for the ioye of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
Por eso nos hemos consolado; y además del consuelo nuestro nos regocijamos aún mucho más por el gozo de Tito; pues su espíritu fue confortado por todos vosotros.
14 For if that I haue boasted any thing to him of you, I haue not bene ashamed: but as I haue spoken vnto you all things in trueth, euen so our boasting vnto Titus was true.
Porque si delante de él en algo me precié de vosotros, no quedé avergonzado; sino que así como fue verdad todo lo que hemos hablado con vosotros ( reprochándoos ), así también resultó verdad el preciarnos de vosotros ante Tito.
15 And his inwarde affection is more aboundant toward you, when he remembreth the obedience of you all, and howe with feare and trembling ye receiued him.
Y su entrañable afecto para con vosotros va todavía en aumento al recordar la obediencia de todos vosotros, cómo con temor y temblor lo recibisteis.
16 I reioyce therefore that I may put my confidence in you in all things.
Me alegro de poder en todo confiar en vosotros.
