1 Timothy 2
1 I Exhort therefore, that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giuing of thanks be made for all men,
Xaq jeriꞌ kinchilibꞌej chi nabꞌe na cho ronojel, chibꞌana chꞌawem, tzijonem rukꞌ ri Dios, toj toqꞌobꞌ, xuqujeꞌ tyoxinik, pa kiwiꞌ konojel ri winaq,
2 For Kings, and for all that are in authoritie, that we may leade a quiet and a peaceable life, in all godlinesse and honestie.
kenabꞌejisax ri ketaqan pa ri tinimit, xuqujeꞌ ri qꞌatal taq tzij, rech kꞌo jaꞌmaril xuqujeꞌ jororem, xuqujeꞌ rech kaqakꞌaslebꞌej jun utz laj kꞌaslemal nim uqꞌij.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Sauiour,
Rumal cher sibꞌalaj utz waꞌ we riꞌ, xuqujeꞌ kaqaj cho ri Dios qakolonel.
4 Who will that all men shalbe saued, and come vnto the acknowledging of the trueth.
Ri Dios karaj chi konojel kekolotajik, xuqujeꞌ koꞌpan chi retaꞌmaxik ri qas tzij.
5 For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and man, which is the man Christ Iesus,
Rumal cher xa jun ri Dios xuqujeꞌ xa jun riꞌ chꞌawenel cho ri Dios pa kiwiꞌ ri winaq, areꞌ ri Jesucristo ri achi,
6 Who gaue himselfe a ransome for all men, to be that testimonie in due time,
ri xuya ri ukꞌaslemal chi kikolik konojel ri winaq. Are waꞌ ri qꞌalajisanik ri xuya ri Dios pa ri kꞌyaqal qꞌotaj.
7 Whereunto I am ordeined a preacher and an Apostle (I speake the trueth in Christ, and lie not) euen a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and veritie.
Xubꞌan kꞌu taqoꞌn xuqujeꞌ qꞌalajisal rech ri utzij chwe. Qas tzij ri kinbꞌij, man bꞌanoj tzij taq: Ri Dios xubꞌan chwe kinux ajtij ke ri winaq ri man aꞌj Israel taj, rech kinkꞌut ri qas tzij rech ri kojobꞌal chkiwach.
8 I will therefore that the men pray, euery where lifting vp pure hands without wrath, or douting.
Kawaj kꞌut chi pa ronojel kꞌolibꞌal konojel ri winaq kakibꞌan chꞌawem kakiyak ri kiqꞌabꞌ chikaj, man rukꞌ ta oyawal xuqujeꞌ man pa chꞌoꞌj taj, xane rukꞌ chꞌajchꞌojalaj animaꞌ.
9 Likewise also the women, that they aray themselues in comely apparell, with shamefastnes and modestie, not with broyded heare, or gold, or pearles, or costly apparell,
Kawaj chi ri ixoqibꞌ utz kakibꞌan che ukojik ri katzꞌyaq jas ri qas taqalik, man kakibꞌananej taj nimal, man kakibꞌan ta xiyoj wi re pispiꞌtal rech kiꞌlitaj chi kumal nikꞌaj winaq, man kakiwiqiqej ta kibꞌ rukꞌ qꞌana pwaq, o rukꞌ taq chachal ri paqal rajil, o rukꞌ ne atzꞌyaq ri sibꞌalaj paqal rajil.
10 But (as becommeth women that professe the feare of God) with good workes.
Are kꞌu sibꞌalaj utz kekaꞌyik are kakibꞌan ri utz laj taq chak, jacha ri ixoqibꞌ ri kakiqꞌijilaꞌj ri Dios.
11 Let the woman learne in silence with all subiection.
Rajawaxik ri ixoq karetaꞌmaj kanimanik rukꞌ jororem.
12 I permit not a woman to teache, neither to vsurpe authoritie ouer the man, but to be in silence.
Man kinya ta bꞌe che ri ixoq kuya kꞌutuꞌn che ri achi xuqujeꞌ kataqan puꞌwiꞌ xane chutatabꞌej ri kabꞌixik.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eue.
Rumal cher are nabꞌe xbꞌan ri Adán, kꞌa te riꞌ ri Eva.
14 And Adam was not deceiued, but the woman was deceiued, and was in the transgression.
Xuqujeꞌ man are ta ri Adán ri xtaqchiꞌx pa ri mak, xane are ri ixoq ri xtaqchiꞌtaj pa mak, xtzaq kꞌu pa ri mak.
15 Notwithstanding, through bearing of children she shalbe saued if they continue in faith, and loue, and holines with modestie.
Ri ixoq kꞌut kakolotaj na rumal chi are nan, xuqujeꞌ we kukꞌaslebꞌej ri ukꞌaslemal rukꞌ etaꞌmabꞌal pa ri kojonik, pa loqꞌanik xuqujeꞌ kukꞌaslebꞌej ri tyoxalaj kꞌaslemal.
