1 Samuel 5
1 Then the Philistims tooke the Arke of God and caried it from Eben-ezer vnto Ashdod,
Ug ang mga Filistehanon nakaagaw sa arca sa Dios ug ilang gidala kini gikan sa Eben-ezer ngadto sa Asdod.
2 Euen the Philistims tooke ye Arke of God, and brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.
Ug ang mga Filistehanon nagkuha sa arca sa Dios, ug nagdala niini ngadto sa balay ni Dagon, ug gibutang kini tupad kang Dagon.
3 And when they of Ashdod rose the next day in the morning, beholde, Dagon was fallen vpon his face on the ground before the Arke of the Lord, and they tooke vp Dagon, and set him in his place againe.
Ug sa diha nga sila nga taga-Asdod namangon pagsayo sa pagkaugma, ania karon, si Dagon napaumod sa yuta sa atubangan sa arca ni Jehova. Ug ilang gikuha si Dagon ug gipahaluna siya sa iyang dapit pag-usab.
4 Also they rose vp earely in the morning the next day, and beholde, Dagon was fallen vpon his face on the ground before the Arke of the Lord, and the head of Dagon and the two palmes of his hands were cut off vpon the thresholde: onely the stumpe of Dagon was left to him.
Ug sa diha nga sila namangon sa pagkaugma sa buntag, ania karon, si Dagon napukan nga ang iyang nawong nahiumod sa yuta sa atubangan sa arca ni Jehova; ug ang ulo ni Dagon ug ang duruha ka palad sa iyang mga kamot napahamutang nga nangaputol sa ibabaw sa lusaranan; ang tuod ni Dagon mao ray nahibilin kaniya.
5 Therefore the Priests of Dagon, and all that come into Dagons house tread not on the thresholde of Dagon in Ashdod, vnto this day.
Busa, bisan ang mga sacerdote ni Dagon, ni kinsa nga mosulod sa balay ni Dagon, magatunob sa lusaranan ni Dagon sa Asdod, hangtud niining adlawa.
6 But the hand of the Lord was heauie vpon them of Ashdod, and destroyed them, and smote them with the emerods, both Ashdod, and the coastes thereof.
Apan ang kamot ni Jehova mabug-at sa ibabaw nila nga anaa sa Asdod, ug iyang gilaglag sila, ug gihampak sila sa mga hubag, bisan ang Asdod ug ang mga utlanan niana.
7 And when the men of Ashdod sawe this, they sayd, Let not the Arke of the God of Israel abide with vs: for his hand is sore vpon vs and vpon Dagon our god.
Ug sa diha nga ang mga tawo sa Asdod nakakita nga mao kini, sila ming-ingon: Ang arca sa Dios sa Israel dili magapabilin uban kanato; kay ang iyang kamot maoy kasakit sa ibabaw nato ug kang Dagon nga atong dios.
8 They sent therefore and gathered all the princes of the Philistims vnto them, and sayde, What shall we doe with the Arke of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the Arke of the God of Israel be caried about vnto Gath: and they caried the Arke of the God of Israel about.
Busa ilang gipasugoan ug gitigum ang tanang mga kadagkuan sa mga Filistehanon ngadto kanila, ug ming-ingon: Unsay atong buhaton mahatungod sa arca sa Dios sa Israel? Ug sila mitubag: Ipadala ang arca sa Dios sa Israel ngadto sa Gath. Ug ilang gidala ang arca sa Dios sa Israel didto.
9 And when they had caried it about, the hand of the Lord was against the citie with a very great destruction, and he smote the men of the citie both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret partes.
Ug mao kadto, nga sa tapus nila dad-a kini, ang kamot ni Jehova diha batok sa ciudad uban sa dakung kapildihon: ug iyang gihampak ang mga tawo sa ciudad, gagmay ug dagku; ug ang mga hubag nanggula diha sa ibabaw nila.
10 Therefore they sent the Arke of God to Ekron: and assoone as the Arke of God came to Ekron, the Ekronites cryed out, saying, They haue brought the Arke of the God of Israel to vs to slay vs and our people.
Busa ilang gipadala ang arca sa Dios ngadto sa Ecron. Ug nahitabo nga ang arca sa Dios gipadala ngadto sa Ecron, nga ang mga Ecronhanon naninggit, nga nagaingon: Ilang gidala ang arca sa Dios sa Israel kanato, aron sa pagpatay kanato ug sa atong katawohan.
11 Therefore they sent, and gathered together all the princes of the Philistims and sayd, Sende away the Arke of the God of Israel, and let it returne to his owne place, that it slay vs not and our people: for there was a destruction and death throughout all the citie, and the hand of God was very sore there.
Busa ilang gipasugoan ug gitigum ang mga kadagkuan nga tanan sa mga Filistehanon, ug sila nanag-ingon: Ipahilayo ang arca sa Dios sa Israel, ug ipabalik kana ngadto sa iyang dapit, aron kana dili mopatay kanato, ug sa atong katawohan. Kay may makamatay nga kapildihon sa tibook nga ciudad: ang kamot sa Dios mabug-at kaayo didto.
12 And the men that dyed not, were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the citie went vp to heauen.
Ug ang mga tawo nga wala mamatay gihampak sa mga hubag; ug ang pagsinggit sa ciudad misaka sa langit.
