1 Samuel 19
1 Then Saul spake to Ionathan his sonne, and to all his seruantes, that they shoulde kill Dauid: but Ionathan Sauls sonne had a great fauour to Dauid.
Y habló Saul a Jonatán su hijo, y a todos sus criados, para que matasen a David: mas Jonatán hijo de Saul amaba a David en gran manera:
2 And Ionathan told Dauid, saying, Saul my father goeth about to slay thee: nowe therefore, I pray thee, take heede vnto thy selfe vnto the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thy selfe.
El cual dio aviso a David, diciendo: Saul mi padre procura matarte: por tanto mira ahora por ti con tiempo, y estáte en secreto, y escóndete.
3 And I will go out, and stand by my father in the fielde where thou art, and will commune with my father of thee, and I will see what he sayth, and will tell thee.
Y yo saldré y estaré junto a mi padre en el campo, donde estuvieres: y yo hablaré de ti a mi padre, y hacerte he saber lo que viere.
4 And Ionathan spake good of Dauid vnto Saul his father, and said vnto him, Let not the King sinne against his seruat, against Dauid: for he hath not sinned against thee, but his works haue bene to thee very good.
Y Jonatán habló bien de David a Saul su padre, y díjole: No peque el rey contra su siervo David, pues que ninguna cosa ha cometido contra ti; antes sus obras te han sido muy buenas.
5 For he did put his life in daunger, and slew the Philistim, and the Lord wrought a great saluation for al Israel: thou sawest it, and thou reioycedst: wherefore then wilt thou sinne against innocent blood, and slay Dauid without a cause?
Porque el puso su alma en su palma, e hirió al Filisteo, e hizo Jehová una gran salud a todo Israel. Tú lo viste, y te holgaste: ¿por qué pues pecarás contra la sangre inocente matando a David sin causa?
6 Then Saul hearkened vnto the voyce of Ionathan, and Saul sware, As the Lord liueth, he shall not dye.
Y oyendo Saul la voz de Jonatán, juró: Vive Jehová, que no morirá.
7 So Ionathan called Dauid, and Ionathan shewed him all those words, and Ionathan brought Dauid to Saul, and hee was in his presence as in times past.
Y llamando Jonatán a David, declaróle todas estas palabras: y metió a David a Saul, el cual estuvo delante de él como antes.
8 Againe the warre began, and Dauid went out and fought with the Philistims, and slew them with a great slaughter, and they fled from him.
Y tornó a hacerse guerra: y salió David, y peleó contra los Filisteos, e hiriólos con grande estrago, y huyeron delante de él.
9 And the euill spirit of the Lord was vpon Saul, as hee sate in his house hauing his speare in his hand, and Dauid played with his hand.
Y el espíritu malo de Jehová fue sobre Saul; y estando sentado en su casa tenía una lanza a mano: y David estaba tañendo con su mano.
10 And Saul intended to smite Dauid to the wall with the speare: but hee turned aside out of Sauls presence, and he smote the speare against the wall: but Dauid fled, and escaped the same night.
Y Saul procuró de enclavar a David con la lanza en la pared; mas él se apartó de delante de Saul, el cual hirió con la lanza en la pared, y David huyó y se escapó aquella noche.
11 Saul also sent messengers vnto Dauids house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal Dauids wife told it him, saying, If thou saue not thy selfe this night, to morowe thou shalt be slayne.
Y Saul envió mensajeros a casa de David, para que le guardasen, y le matasen a la mañana: mas Micol su mujer lo descubrió a David, diciendo: Si no escapares tu vida esta noche, mañana serás muerto.
12 So Michal let Dauid downe through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
Y Micol descolgó a David por una ventana; y él se fue, y huyó, y se escapó.
13 Then Michal tooke an image, and layde it in the bed, and put a pillow stuffed with goates heare vnder the head of it, and couered it with a cloth.
Y Micol tomó una estatua, y púsola sobre la cama, y le puso por cabecera una almohada de pelos de cabra, y cubrióla con una ropa.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take Dauid, she sayd, He is sicke.
Y cuando Saul envió mensajeros que tomasen a David, ella respondió: Está enfermo.
15 And Saul sent the messengers againe to see Dauid, saying, Bring him to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
Y tornó Saul a enviar mensajeros para que viesen a David, diciendo: Traédmele en la cama para que le mate.
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, an image was in the bed, with a pillow of goates heare vnder the head of it.
Y como los mensajeros entraron, he aquí la estatua que estaba en la cama, y una almohada de pelos de cabra por cabecera.
17 And Saul said vnto Michal, Why hast thou mocked me so, and sent away mine enemie, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said vnto me, Let me go, or els I will kill thee.
Entonces Saul dijo a Micol: ¿Por qué me has así engañado, y has dejado escapar a mi enemigo? Y Micol respondió a Saul: Porque él me dijo: Déjame ir, si no yo te mataré.
18 So Dauid fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him: and he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
Y huyó David, y escapóse, y vino a Samuel en Rama, y díjole todo lo que Saul había hecho con él, y fuése él y Samuel, y moraron en Najot.
19 But one tolde Saul, saying, Beholde, Dauid is at Naioth in Ramah.
Y fue dado aviso a Saul, diciendo: He aquí que David está en Najot en Rama.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take Dauid: and when they sawe a company of Prophets prophecying, and Samuel standing as appoynted ouer them, the Spirit of God fell vpon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophecied.
Y envió Saul mensajeros que trajesen a David, los cuales vieron una compañía de profetas que profetizaban, y a Samuel que estaba, y les presidía. Y fue el Espíritu de Dios sobre los mensajeros de Saul, y ellos también profetizaron.
21 And when it was tolde Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophecied likewise: againe Saul sent the third messengers, and they prophecied also.
Y fue hecho saber a Saul, y él envió a otros mensajeros, los cuales también profetizaron: y Saul volvió a enviar otros terceros mensajeros, y ellos también profetizaron.
22 Then went he himselfe to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu, and he asked, and sayd, Where are Samuel and Dauid? and one sayd, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
Entonces él vino a Rama; y llegando al pozo grande que está en Soco, preguntó, diciendo: ¿Donde están Samuel y David? Y le fue respondido: He aquí, están en Najot en Rama.
23 And he went thither, euen to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came vpon him also, and he went prophecying vntill hee came to Naioth in Ramah.
Y vino allí a Najot en Rama, y fue también sobre él el Espíritu de Dios, e iba profetizando hasta que llegó a Najot en Rama.
24 And he stript off his clothes, and he prophesied also before Samuel, and fell downe naked all that day and all that night: therefore they say, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
Y él también se desnudó sus vestidos, y profetizó él también delante de Samuel, y cayó desnudo todo aquel día, y toda aquella noche. De aquí se dijo: ¿También Saul entre los profetas?
