1 Kings 14

1 At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.

Zu der Zeit war Abia, der Sohn Jerobeams, krank.

2 And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,

Und Jerobeam sprach zu seinem Weibe: Mache dich auf und verstelle dich, daß niemand merke, daß du Jerobeams Weib seiest, und gehe hin gen Silo. Siehe, daselbst ist der Prophet Ahia, der mir geredet hat, daß ich sollte König sein über dies Volk.

3 And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.

Und nimm mit dir zehn Brote und Kuchen und einen Krug mit Honig; und komm zu ihm, daß er dir sage, wie es dem Knaben gehen wird.

4 And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.

Und das Weib Jerobeams tat also; und machte sich auf und ging hin gen Silo und kam ins Haus Ahias. Ahia aber konnte nicht sehen; denn seine Augen starreten vor Alter.

5 Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.

Aber der HERR sprach zu Ahia: Siehe, das Weib Jerobeams kommt, daß sie von dir eine Sache frage um ihren Sohn; denn er ist krank. So rede nun mit ihr so und so. Da sie nun hineinkam, stellete sie sich fremd.

6 Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.

Als aber Ahia hörete das Rauschen ihrer Füße zur Tür hineingehen, sprach er: Komm herein, du Weib Jerobeams, warum stellest du dich so fremd? Ich bin zu dir gesandt ein harter Bote.

7 Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,

Gehe hin und sage Jerobeam: So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe dich erhaben aus dem Volk und zum Fürsten über mein Volk Israel gesetzt;

8 And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,

und habe das Königreich von Davids Hause gerissen und dir gegeben. Du aber bist nicht gewesen wie mein Knecht David, der meine Gebote hielt und wandelte mir nach von ganzem Herzen, daß er tat, was mir nur wohlgefiel;

9 But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)

und hast übel getan über alle, die vor dir gewesen sind, bist hingegangen und hast dir andere Götter gemacht und gegossene Bilder, daß du mich zu Zorn reizetest, und hast mich hinter deinen Rücken geworfen.

10 Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.

Darum siehe, ich will Unglück über das Haus Jerobeams führen und ausrotten an dem Jerobeam auch den, der an die Wand pisset, den Verschlossenen und Verlassenen in Israel; und will die Nachkommen des Hauses Jerobeam ausfegen, wie man Kot ausfeget, bis ganz mit ihm aus sei.

11 The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.

Wer von Jerobeam stirbt in der Stadt, den sollen die Hunde fressen; wer aber auf dem Felde stirbt, den sollen die Vögel des Himmels fressen; denn der HERR hat es geredet.

12 Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.

So mache du dich auf und gehe heim. Und wenn dein Fuß zur Stadt eintritt, wird das Kind sterben.

13 And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.

Und es wird ihn das ganze Israel klagen und werden ihn begraben. Denn dieser allein von Jerobeam wird zu Grabe kommen, darum daß etwas Gutes an ihm erfunden ist vor dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, im Hause Jerobeams.

14 Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.

Der HERR aber wird ihm einen König über Israel erwecken, der wird das Haus Jerobeams ausrotten des Tages. Und was ist nun gemacht?

15 For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.

Und der HERR wird Israel schlagen, gleichwie das Rohr im Wasser beweget wird, und wird Israel ausreißen von diesem guten Lande, das er ihren Vätern gegeben hat, und wird sie streuen über das Wasser, darum daß sie ihre Haine gemacht haben, den HERRN zu erzürnen.

16 And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.

Und wird Israel übergeben um der Sünden willen Jerobeams, der da gesündiget hat und Israel hat sündigen gemacht.

17 And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,

Und das Weib Jerobeams machte sich auf, ging hin und kam gen Thirza. Und da sie auf die Schwelle des Hauses kam, starb der Knabe.

18 And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.

Und sie begruben ihn, und ganz Israel klagte ihn nach dem Wort des HERRN, das er geredet hatte durch seinen Knecht Ahia, den Propheten.

19 And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Was mehr von Jerobeam zu sagen ist, wie er gestritten und regieret hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Israels.

20 And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.

Die Zeit aber, die Jerobeam regierte, sind zweiundzwanzig Jahre. Und entschlief mit seinen Vätern; und sein Sohn Nadab ward König an seiner Statt.

21 Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.

So war Rehabeam, der Sohn Salomos, König in Juda. Einundvierzig Jahre alt war Rehabeam, da er König ward und regierete siebenzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem, in der Stadt, die der HERR erwählet hatte aus allen Stämmen Israels, daß er seinen Namen daselbst hinstellete. Seine Mutter hieß Naema, eine Ammonitin.

22 And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.

Und Juda tat, das dem HERRN übel gefiel; und reizten ihn zu Eifer, mehr denn alles, das ihre Väter getan hatten mit ihren Sünden, die sie taten.

23 For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.

Denn sie baueten ihnen auch Höhen, Säulen und Haine auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen.

24 There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

Es waren auch Hurer im Lande; und sie taten alle die Greuel der Heiden, die der HERR vor den Kindern Israel vertrieben hatte.

25 And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,

Aber im fünften Jahr des Königs Rehabeam zog Sisak, der König in Ägypten, herauf wider Jerusalem.

26 And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.

Und nahm die Schätze aus dem Hause des HERRN und aus dem Hause des Königs und alles, was zu nehmen war, und nahm alle güldenen Schilde, die Salomo hatte lassen machen;

27 And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.

an welcher Statt ließ der König Rehabeam eherne Schilde machen und befahl sie unter die Hand der obersten Trabanten, die der Tür hüteten am Hause des Königs.

28 And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.

Und so oft der König in das Haus des HERRN ging, trugen sie die Trabanten und brachten sie wieder in der Trabanten Kammer.

29 And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

Was aber mehr von Rehabeam zu sagen ist, und alles, was er getan hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Judas.

30 And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.

Es war aber Krieg zwischen Rehabeam und Jerobeam ihr Leben lang.

31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.

Und Rehabeam entschlief mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben mit seinen Vätern in der Stadt Davids. Und seine Mutter hieß Naema, eine Ammonitin. Und sein Sohn Abiam ward König an seiner Statt.
