1 Corinthians 9

1 Am I not an Apostle? am I not free? haue I not seene Iesus Christ our Lord? are ye not my worke in the Lord?

ഞാൻ സ്വതന്ത്രൻ അല്ലയോ? ഞാൻ അപ്പൊസ്തലൻ അല്ലയോ? നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലയോ? കർത്താവിൽ ഞാൻ ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തിയുടെ ഫലം നിങ്ങൾ അല്ലയോ?

2 If I be not an Apostle vnto other, yet doutlesse I am vnto you: for ye are the seale of mine Apostleship in the Lord.

മറ്റുള്ളവർക്കു ഞാൻ അപ്പൊസ്തലൻ അല്ലെന്നുവരികിൽ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആകുന്നു; കർത്താവിൽ എന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വത്തിന്റെ മുദ്ര നിങ്ങളല്ലോ.

3 My defence to them that examine mee, is this,

എന്നെ വിധിക്കുന്നവരോടു ഞാൻ പറയുന്ന പ്രതിവാദം ഇതാകുന്നു.

4 Haue we not power to eat and to drinke?

തിന്നുവാനും കുടിപ്പാനും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അധികാരമില്ലയോ?

5 Or haue we not power to lead about a wife being a sister, as well as the rest of the Apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

ശേഷം അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും കർത്താവിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കേഫാവും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഭാര്യയായോരു സഹോദരിയുമായി സഞ്ചരിപ്പാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അധികാരമില്ലയൊ?

6 Or I only and Barnabas, haue not we power not to worke?

അല്ല, വേല ചെയ്യാതിരിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കും ബർന്നബാസിന്നും മാത്രം അധികാരമില്ല എന്നുണ്ടോ?

7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his owne coste? who planteth a vineyarde, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flocke, and eateth not of the milke of the flocke?

സ്വന്ത ചെലവിന്മേൽ യുദ്ധസേവ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആർ? മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ ഫലം തിന്നാതിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ? ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ മേയിച്ചു കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ പാൽകൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവിക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ?

8 Say I these thinges according to man? saith not the Lawe the same also?

ഞാൻ ഇതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മര്യാദപ്രകാരമോ പറയുന്നതു? ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നില്ലയോ?

9 For it is written in the Lawe of Moses, Thou shalt not mussell the mouth of the oxe that treadeth out the corne: doeth God take care for oxen?

“മെതിക്കുന്ന കാളെക്കു മുഖക്കൊട്ട കെട്ടരുതു” എന്നു മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; ദൈവം കാളെക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതു?

10 Either saith hee it not altogether for our sakes? For our sakes no doubt it is written, that he which eareth, should eare in hope, and that he that thresheth in hope, should be partaker of his hope.

അല്ല, കേവലം നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി പറയുന്നതോ? അതേ, ഉഴുന്നവൻ ആശയോടെ ഉഴുകയും മെതിക്കുന്നവൻ പതം കിട്ടും എന്നുള്ള ആശയോടെ മെതിക്കയും വേണ്ടതാകയാൽ നമുക്കു വേണ്ടി എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതത്രെ.

11 If wee haue sowen vnto you spirituall thinges, is it a great thing if we reape your carnall thinges?

ഞങ്ങൾ ആത്മീകമായതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിതെച്ചിട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഐഹികമായതു കൊയ്താൽ വലിയ കാര്യമോ?

12 If others with you bee partakers of this power, are not we rather? neuerthelesse, we haue not vsed this power: but suffer all things, that we should not hinder the Gospel of Christ.

മറ്റുള്ളവർക്കു നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ ഈ അധികാരം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു എത്ര അധികം? എങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങൾ ഈ അധികാരം പ്രയോഗിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യാതൊരു വിഘ്നവും വരുത്താതിരിപ്പാൻ സകലവും പൊറുക്കുന്നു.

13 Doe ye not knowe, that they which minister about the holy things, eate of the things of the Temple? and they which waite at the altar, are partakers with the altar?

ദൈവാലയകർമ്മങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നവർ ദൈവാലയംകൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവിക്കുന്നു എന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കൽ ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്യുന്നവർ യാഗപീഠത്തിലെ വഴിപാടുകളിൽ ഓഹരിക്കാർ ആകുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?

14 So also hath the Lord ordeined, that they which preach ye Gospel, should liue of the Gospel.

അതുപോലെ കർത്താവും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നവർ സുവിശേഷത്താൽ ഉപജീവിക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

15 But I haue vsed none of these things: neither wrote I these things, that it should be so done vnto me: for it were better for me to die, then that any man should make my reioycing vaine.

എങ്കിലും ഇതു ഒന്നും ഞാൻ പ്രയോഗിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്കു കിട്ടേണം എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ ഇതു എഴുതുന്നതും അല്ല; ആരെങ്കിലും എന്റെ പ്രശംസ വൃഥാവാക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ മരിക്ക തന്നേ എനിക്കു നല്ലതു.

16 For though I preach the Gospel, I haue nothing to reioyce of: for necessitie is laid vpon me, and woe is vnto me, if I preach not the Gospel.

ഞാൻ സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എനിക്കു പ്രശംസിപ്പാൻ ഒന്നുമില്ല. നിർബ്ബന്ധം എന്റെ മേൽ കിടക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ എനിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

17 For if I do it willingly, I haue a reward, but if I do it against my will, notwithstanding the dispensation is committed vnto me.

ഞാൻ അതു മനഃപൂർവ്വം നടത്തുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എനിക്കു പ്രതിഫലം ഉണ്ടു; മനഃപൂർവ്വമല്ലെങ്കിലും കാര്യം എങ്കൽ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18 What is my reward then? verely that when I preach the Gospel, I make the Gospel of Christ free, that I abuse not mine authoritie in ye Gospel.

എന്നാൽ എന്റെ പ്രതിഫലം എന്തു? സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിലുള്ള അധികാരം മുഴുവനും ഉപയോഗിക്കാതെ ഞാൻ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണം ചെലവുകൂടാതെ നടത്തുന്നതു തന്നേ.

19 For though I bee free from all men, yet haue I made my selfe seruant vnto all men, that I might winne the moe.

ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കേവലം സ്വതന്ത്രൻ എങ്കിലും അധികംപേരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ എന്നെത്തന്നേ എല്ലാവർക്കും ദാസനാക്കി.

20 And vnto the Iewes, I become as a Iewe, that I may winne the Iewes: to them that are vnder the Lawe, as though I were vnder the Lawe, that I may winne them that are vnder the Lawe:

യെഹൂദന്മാരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യെഹൂദന്മാർക്കു യെഹൂദനെപ്പോലെ ആയി; ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവൻ അല്ല എങ്കിലും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവർക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ളവനെപ്പോലെ ആയി.

21 To them that are without Lawe, as though I were without Lawe, (when I am not without Lawe as pertaining to God, but am in the Lawe through Christ) that I may winne them that are without Lawe:

ദൈവത്തിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവൻ ആകാതെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണമുള്ളവനായിരിക്കെ, ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവർക്കു ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെ ആയി.

22 To the weake I become as weake, that I may winne the weake: I am made all thinges to all men, that I might by all meanes saue some.

ബലഹീനന്മാരെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ബലഹീനർക്കു ബലഹീനനായി; ഏതുവിധത്തിലും ചിലരെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും എല്ലാമായിത്തീർന്നു.

23 And this I doe for the Gospels sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

സുവിശേഷത്തിൽ ഒരു പങ്കാളിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ സകലവും സുവിശേഷം നിമിത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

24 Knowe ye not, that they which runne in a race, runne all, yet one receiueth the price? so runne that ye may obtaine.

ഓട്ടക്കളത്തിൽ ഓടുന്നവർ എല്ലാവരും ഓടുന്നു എങ്കിലും ഒരുവനേ വിരുതു പ്രാപിക്കുന്നുള്ളു എന്നു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങളും പ്രാപിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഓടുവിൻ.

25 And euery man that proueth masteries, abstaineth from all things: and they do it to obtaine a corruptible crowne: but we for an vncorruptible.

അങ്കം പൊരുതുന്നവൻ ഒക്കെയും സകലത്തിലും വർജ്ജനം ആചരിക്കുന്നു. അതോ, അവർ വാടുന്ന കിരീടവും നാമോ വാടാത്തതും പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

26 I therefore so runne, not as vncertainely: so fight I, not as one that beateth the ayre.

ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ നിശ്ചയമില്ലാത്തവണ്ണമല്ല ഓടുന്നതു; ആകാശത്തെ കുത്തുന്നതുപോലെയല്ല ഞാൻ മുഷ്ടിയുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

27 But I beate downe my body, and bring it into subiection, lest by any meanes after that I haue preached to other, I my selfe should be reproued.

മറ്റുള്ളവരോടു പ്രസംഗിച്ചശേഷം ഞാൻ തന്നേ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവനായി പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു അടിമയാക്കുകയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.
