1 Corinthians 1

1 Paul called to be an Apostle of Iesus Christ, through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

இறைவனின் சித்தத்தின்படி கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாயிருக்கும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்ட பவுலும், நமது சகோதரனாகிய சொஸ்தெனேயும் எழுதுகிறதாவது,

2 Vnto the Church of God, which is at Corinthus, to them that are sanctified in Christ Iesus, Saintes by calling, with all that call on the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ in euery place, both their Lord, and ours:

கொரிந்துவில் இருக்கும் இறைவனுடைய திருச்சபைக்கு, கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டும் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கும்படி அழைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற அனைவருக்கும், உங்களுக்கும் எங்களுக்கும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் பெயரைச் சொல்லி ஒன்றிணைந்து எல்லா இடங்களிலும் ஆராதிக்கிற அனைவருக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

3 Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய இறைவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

4 I thanke my God alwayes on your behalfe for the grace of God, which is giuen you in Iesus Christ,

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட கிருபையின் காரணமாக, நான் எப்பொழுதும் உங்களுக்காக இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.

5 That in all things ye are made rich in him, in all kinde of speach, and in all knowledge:

நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எல்லாவிதத்திலும், எல்லாப் பேச்சுத்திறனிலும், எல்லா அறிவிலும், எல்லாவகையிலும் செல்வச் சிறப்புடையவர்களாய் விளங்குகிறீர்கள்.

6 As the testimonie of Iesus Christ hath bene confirmed in you:

ஏனெனில், கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றிய எங்களுடைய சாட்சி உங்களில் உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

7 So that ye are not destitute of any gift: wayting for the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ.

ஆகவே, நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படுவதற்காக ஆவலுடன் காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும் நீங்கள், ஆவிக்குரிய வரம் யாதொன்றிலும் குறைவுபடாதிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

8 Who shall also confirme you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse, in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ.

இறைவன் கடைசிமட்டும் உங்களைப் பலமுள்ளவர்களாய்க் காத்துக்கொள்வார். அதனால் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து திரும்பவரும் நாளில், நீங்கள் எந்தவித குற்றமும் சாட்டப்படாதவர்களாய் இருப்பீர்கள்.

9 God is faithfull, by whom ye are called vnto the fellowship of his Sonne Iesus Christ our Lord.

தமது மகனும், நமது கர்த்தருமாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுடன் ஐக்கியமாய் இருப்பதற்கு, உங்களை அழைத்திருக்கும் இறைவன் உண்மையுள்ளவர்.

10 Nowe I beseeche you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye all speake one thing, and that there be no dissensions among you: but be ye knit together in one mind, and in one iudgement.

பிரியமானவர்களே, நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் பெயரில் உங்களிடம் நான் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறதாவது: நீங்கள் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஒத்துப்போகிறவர்களாய் இருந்தால், உங்கள் மத்தியில் பிரிவினைகள் இருக்காது. அத்துடன் நீங்களும், உங்கள் மனதிலும் சிந்தனையிலும் முழுமையாக ஒருமைப்பட்டும் இருப்பீர்கள்.

11 For it hath bene declared vnto me, my brethren, of you by them that are of the house of Cloe, that there are contentions among you.

பிரியமானவர்களே, உங்கள் மத்தியில் சண்டை சச்சரவுகள் உண்டென்று குலோவேயாளின் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சிலர் எனக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்.

12 Nowe this I say, that euery one of you saith, I am Pauls, and I am Apollos, and I am Cephas, and I am Christs.

உங்களில் ஒருவன், “நான் பவுலைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன்” என்கிறான்; இன்னொருவன், “நான் அப்பொல்லோவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன்” என்கிறான்; இன்னும் ஒருவன், “நான் கேபாவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன்” என்கிறான்; இன்னும் ஒருவன், “நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன்” என்கிறான். இவற்றையே இங்கு நான் குறிப்பிடுகிறேன்.

13 Is Christ deuided? was Paul crucified for you? either were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

கிறிஸ்து பிளவுப்பட்டுள்ளாரா? பவுலா உங்களுக்காகச் சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டான்? நீங்கள் பவுலின் பெயரினாலா திருமுழுக்கைப் பெற்றீர்கள்?

14 I thanke God, that I baptized none of you, but Crispus, and Gaius,

கிறிஸ்புவையும் காயுவையும் தவிர, உங்களில் யாருக்காகிலும் நான் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுக்கவில்லையே. அதற்காக நான் இறைவனுக்கு நன்றி செலுத்துகிறேன்.

15 Lest any should say, that I had baptized into mine owne name.

ஆகவே, என் பெயரால் திருமுழுக்கு பெற்றதாக உங்களில் ஒருவனாகிலும் சொல்லமுடியாது.

16 I baptized also the houshold of Stephanas: furthermore knowe I not, whether I baptized any other.

ஆம், நான் ஸ்தேவானின் வீட்டாருக்கும் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுத்தேன். அதற்கு மேலாக, வேறுயாருக்கும் நான் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுத்ததாக எனக்கு ஞாபகம் இல்லை.

17 For CHRIST sent me not to baptize, but to preache the Gospel, not with wisdome of wordes, lest the crosse of Christ should be made of none effect.

கிறிஸ்து என்னைத் திருமுழுக்கு கொடுக்க அனுப்பவில்லை, நற்செய்தியைப் பிரசங்கிக்கவே அனுப்பினார். கிறிஸ்துவின் சிலுவை அதன் வல்லமையை இழந்து போகாதிருக்கும்படி, மனித ஞானத்தின் அடிப்படையிலான வார்த்தைகளை உபயோகிக்காமல் பிரசங்கிக்கவே அவர் என்னை அனுப்பினார்.

18 For that preaching of the crosse is to them that perish, foolishnesse: but vnto vs, which are saued, it is the power of God.

அழிவின் பாதையில் போகிறவர்களுக்கு சிலுவையின் செய்தி மூடத்தனமாகவே தோன்றுகிறது. ஆனால் இரட்சிக்கப்படுகின்ற நமக்கோ அது இறைவனின் வல்லமையாய் இருக்கின்றது.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisedome of the wise, and will cast away the vnderstanding of the prudent.

ஆகவேதான், “நான் ஞானிகளின் ஞானத்தை அழித்து; அறிவாளிகளின் அறிவாற்றலை பயனற்றதாக்குவேன்” என்பதாக எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

20 Where is the wise? where is the Scribe? where is the disputer of this worlde? hath not God made the wisedome of this worlde foolishnesse? (aiōn g165)

ஞானி எங்கே? வேத ஆசிரியர் எங்கே? இந்த உலகத்தின் தர்க்கஞானி எங்கே? உலக ஞானத்தை இறைவன் மூடத்தனமாக்கவில்லையோ? (aiōn g165)

21 For seeing the worlde by wisedome knewe not God in the wisedome of GOD, it pleased God by the foolishnesse of preaching to saue them that beleeue:

உலகம் தம் ஞானத்தால் இறைவனை அறியமுடியாதபடி, இறைவன் தமது ஞானத்தில் இதைச் செய்திருக்கிறார். எனவே மூடத்தனமாய்த் தோன்றுகிற எங்கள் பிரசங்கத்தினால் விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களை இரட்சிக்க இறைவன் விருப்பங்கொண்டார்.

22 Seeing also that the Iewes require a signe, and the Grecians seeke after wisdome.

யூதர்கள் அற்புத அடையாளங்கள் வேண்டுமென்று கேட்கிறார்கள்; கிரேக்கர்கள் ஞானத்தைத் தேடுகிறார்கள்.

23 But wee preach Christ crucified: vnto the Iewes, euen a stumbling blocke, and vnto the Grecians, foolishnesse:

ஆனால் நாங்களோ, சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்ட கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறோம்: இது யூதருக்கு இடறச்செய்யும் தடையாயும், யூதரல்லாதவருக்கு மூடத்தனமாயும் இருக்கிறது.

24 But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God.

ஆனால், யூதரிலும் கிரேக்கரிலும் இறைவனால் அழைக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு, கிறிஸ்துவே இறைவனின் வல்லமையும், இறைவனின் ஞானமுமாக இருக்கிறார்.

25 For the foolishnesse of God is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God is stronger then men.

ஏனெனில் இறைவனின் மூடத்தனமோ மனித ஞானத்திலும் மிகுந்த ஞானமுள்ளதாயிருக்கிறது; இறைவனின் பெலவீனமோ மனித பெலத்திலும் மிகுந்த பெலனுள்ளதாயிருக்கிறது.

26 For brethren, you see your calling, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.

பிரியமானவர்களே, நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டபொழுது எப்படி இருந்தீர்கள் என்பதைச் சிந்தித்துப் பாருங்கள். மனித மதிப்பீட்டின்படி, உங்களில் ஞானிகள் அநேகரில்லை; செல்வாக்குடையவர்கள் அநேகரில்லை; உயர்குடிப் பிறந்தவர்களாய் அநேகரில்லை.

27 But God hath chosen the foolish thinges of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weake thinges of the worlde, to confound the mightie things,

ஆனால் இறைவனோ, ஞானிகளை வெட்கப்படுத்தும்படி, உலகின் மூடத்தனமானவற்றைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்; பலமுள்ளவர்களை வெட்கப்படுத்தும்படி, உலகின் பலவீனமானவைகளைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

28 And vile things of the worlde and thinges which are despised, hath God chosen, and thinges which are not, to bring to nought thinges that are,

உலகம் பொருட்டாகக் கருதுபவற்றை அவமாக்கும்படி, உலகத்தில் தாழ்ந்தவற்றையும், மக்களால் கீழ்த்தரமாக எண்ணப்பட்டவைகளையும், உலகத்தில் ஒன்றும் இல்லாதவைகளையும் அவர் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

29 That no flesh shoulde reioyce in his presence.

இதனால், அவருக்கு முன்பாக ஒருவராலும் பெருமைபாராட்ட முடியாது.

30 But ye are of him in Christ Iesus, who of God is made vnto vs wisedome and righteousnesse, and sanctification, and redemption,

இறைவனாலேயே நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவில் இருக்கிறீர்கள். கிறிஸ்துவே இறைவனிடமிருந்து நமக்காக வந்த ஞானம். அவரே நம்முடைய நீதியும், பரிசுத்தமும், மீட்புமாயிருக்கிறார்.

31 That, according as it is written, Hee that reioyceth, let him reioyce in the Lord.

ஆகவே எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, “பெருமைபாராட்ட விரும்புகிறவன், கர்த்தரிலேயே பெருமை பாராட்டட்டும்.”
