1 Chronicles 9
1 Thus all Israel were nombred by their genealogies: and beholde, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and of Iudah, and they were caried away to Babel for their transgression.
Semua orang Israel terdaftar menurut keluarganya masing-masing. Daftar itu tercatat dalam buku Raja-raja Israel. Sebagai hukuman atas dosa-dosa mereka, rakyat Yehuda diangkut ke pembuangan.
2 And the chiefe inhabitants that dwelt in their owne possessions, and in their owne cities, euen Israel the Priestes, the Leuites, and the Nethinims.
Dari antara mereka yang pertama-tama kembali ke tanah milik mereka di kota-kota adalah orang awam, imam-imam, orang Lewi dan pekerja-pekerja Rumah TUHAN.
3 And in Ierusalem dwelt of the children of Iudah, and of the children of Beniamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh.
Sebagian dari suku Yehuda, Benyamin, Efraim dan Manasye kembali dan tinggal di Yerusalem.
4 Vthai the sonne of Amihud the sonne of Omri, the sonne of Imri, the sonne of Bani: of the children of Pharez, the sonne of Iudah.
Ada 690 keluarga dari suku Yehuda yang tinggal di Yerusalem, termasuk keturunan anak-anak Yehuda yang bernama Peres, Syela dan Zerah. Keturunan Peres dipimpin oleh Utai. Garis keturunan Utai dari bawah ke atas ialah Utai, Amihud, Omri, Imri dan Bani. Keturunan Syela dipimpin oleh Asaya. Ia adalah kepala keluarga. Keturunan Zerah dipimpin oleh Yeuel.
5 And of Shiloni, Asaiah the eldest, and his sonnes.
6 And the sonnes of Zerah, Ieuel, and their brethren sixe hundreth and ninetie.
7 And of the sonnes of Beniamin, Sallu the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Hodauiah, the sonne of Hasenuah,
Orang-orang suku Benyamin yang tinggal di Yerusalem ada 956 keluarga. Kepala-kepala keluarga mereka ialah: Salu anak Mesulam, cucu Hodawya, buyut Hasenua; Yibnia anak Yeroham; Ela anak Uzi, cucu Mikhri; Mesulam anak Sefaca, cucu Rehuel, buyut Yibnia.
8 And Ibneiah the sonne of Ieroham, and Elah the sonne of Vzzi, the sonne of Michri, and Meshullam the sonne of Shephatiah, the sonne of Reuel, the sonne of Ibniiah.
9 And their brethren according to their generations nine hundreth, fiftie and sixe: all these men were chiefe fathers in the housholdes of their fathers.
10 And of the Priestes, Iedaiah, and Iehoiarib, and Iachin,
Imam-imam berikut ini tinggal di Yerusalem: Yedaya, Yoyarib dan Yakhin, Azarya anak Hilkia, leluhurnya adalah Mesulam, Zadok, Merayot dan Ahitub. (Azarya adalah kepala pegawai di Rumah TUHAN.) Adaya anak Yeroham; leluhurnya adalah Pasyhur dan Malkia. Masai anak Adiel; leluhurnya adalah Yahzera, Mesulam, Mesilemit, Imer.
11 And Azariah the sonne of Hilkiah, ye sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Zadok, the sonne of Meraioth, the sonne of Ahitub the chiefe of the house of God,
12 And Adaiah the sonne of Ieroham, ye sonne of Pashur, the sonne of Malchiiah, and Maasai the sonne of Adiel, the sonne of Iahzerah, the sonne of Meshullam, the sonne of Meshillemith, the sonne of Immer.
13 And their brethre the chiefe of the households of their fathers a thousand, seuen hundreth and three score valiant men, for the worke of the seruice of the house of God.
Para imam yang menjadi kepala keluarga, semuanya ada 1.760 orang. Mereka mahir melakukan segala macam pekerjaan di Rumah TUHAN.
14 And of the Leuites, Shemaiah the sonne of Hasshub, the sonne of Azrikam, the sonne of Hashabiah of the sonnes of Merari,
Orang-orang Lewi berikut ini tinggal di Yerusalem: Semaya anak Hasub; leluhurnya adalah Azrikam dan Hasabya dari kaum Merari. Bakbakar, Heres dan Galal. Matanya anak Mikha; leluhurnya adalah Zikhri dan Asaf. Obaja anak Semaya; leluhurnya adalah Galal dan Yedutun. Berekhya anak Asa, cucu Elkana, ia tinggal di daerah kota Netofa.
15 And Bakbakkar, Heresh and Galal, and Mattaniah the sonne of Micha, the sonne of Zichri, the sonne of Asaph,
16 And Obadiah the sonne of Shemaiah, the sonne of Galal, the sonne of Ieduthun, and Berechiah, the sonne of Asa, the sonne of Elkanah, that dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 And the porters were Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren: Shallum was the chiefe.
Pengawal-pengawal Rumah TUHAN yang tinggal di Yerusalem bersama keluarga mereka adalah: Akub, Talmon, Ahiman, dan Salum kepala pengawal.
18 For they were porters to this time by companies of the children of Leui vnto the Kinges gate eastward.
Sampai hari ini orang-orang dari kaum mereka ditugaskan menjaga Pintu Gerbang Raja di sebelah timur. Dahulu orang-orang dari kaum mereka ditugaskan menjaga pintu-pintu gerbang menuju ke perkemahan orang Lewi.
19 And Shallum the sonne of Kore the sonne of Ebiasaph the sonne of Korah, and his brethren the Korathites (of the house of their father) were ouer the worke, and office to keepe the gates of the Tabernacle: so their families were ouer the hoste of the Lord, keeping the entrie.
Yang ditugaskan menjaga pintu masuk ke Kemah TUHAN adalah Salum bersama orang-orang yang sekaum dengan dia, yaitu kaum Korah. (Salum adalah anak Kore cucu Ebyasaf.) Dahulu leluhur mereka pun melakukan tugas itu ketika mereka melayani di perkemahan TUHAN.
20 And Phinehas ye sonne of Eleazar was their guide, and the Lord was with him.
Pinehas anak Eleazar--semoga TUHAN melindungi dia! --pernah mengepalai mereka.
21 Zechariah the sonne of Meshelemiah was the porter of the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Zakharia anak Meselemya juga adalah pengawal pintu gerbang Kemah TUHAN.
22 All these were chosen for porters of the gates, two hundreth and twelue, which were nombred according to their genealogies by their townes. Dauid established these and Samuel the Seer in their perpetuall office.
Semua yang dipilih untuk menjaga pintu-pintu gerbang ada 212 orang. Mereka terdaftar menurut desa-desa tempat tinggal mereka. Leluhur mereka diberi jabatan-jabatan itu oleh Raja Daud dan Nabi Samuel.
23 So they and their children had the ouersight of the gates of the house of the Lord, euen of the house of the Tabernacle by wardes.
Sejak itu mereka dan keturunan mereka tetap menjadi penjaga pintu gerbang Rumah TUHAN.
24 The porters were in foure quarters Eastward, Westward, Northward and Southward.
Ada 4 pintu: satu di utara, satu di selatan, satu di timur dan satu di barat. Di setiap pintu itu ditempatkan seorang Lewi yang menjadi kepala penjaga.
25 And their brethren, which were in their townes, came at seuen dayes from time to time with them.
Sanak saudara mereka yang tinggal di desa-desa, membantu mereka secara bergilir--setiap kali satu minggu lamanya.
26 For these foure chiefe porters were in perpetuall office, and were of the Leuites and had charge of the chambers, and of the treasures in the house of God.
Tetapi keempat kepala penjaga itu bertugas secara tetap. Mereka bertanggung jawab atas ruangan-ruangan di Rumah TUHAN dan barang-barang yang disimpan di situ.
27 And they lay rounde about the house of God, because the charge was theirs, and they caused it to be opened euery morning.
Mereka tinggal di dekat Rumah TUHAN, sebab mereka harus menjaga rumah itu dan membuka pintu-pintu gerbangnya setiap pagi.
28 And certaine of them had the rule of the ministring vessels: for they brought them in by tale, and brought them out by tale.
Sebagian orang Lewi yang lain bertanggung jawab atas perkakas-perkakas untuk ibadat. Merekalah yang menghitungnya pada waktu dikeluarkan dan pada waktu dikembalikan.
29 Some of them also were appoynted ouer the instruments, and ouer all the vessels of the Sanctuarie, and of the floure, and the wine, and the oyle, and the incense, and the sweete odours.
Sebagian lagi bertanggung jawab atas perabot-perabot ibadat dan atas tepung, anggur, minyak zaitun, kemenyan, serta rempah-rempah.
30 And certaine of the sonnes of the Priestes made oyntments of sweete odours.
Tetapi yang bertanggung jawab mencampur rempah-rempah itu adalah imam-imam.
31 And Mattithiah one of the Leuites which was the eldest sonne of Shallum the Korhite, had the charge of the things that were made in the frying panne.
Yang bertanggung jawab membuat persembahan yang dipanggang adalah seorang Lewi bernama Matica, anak sulung Salum dari kaum Korah.
32 And other of their brethren the sonnes of Kohath had the ouersight of the shewbread to prepare it euery Sabbath.
Orang-orang dari kaum Kehat bertanggung jawab untuk menyiapkan roti sajian bagi TUHAN setiap hari Sabat.
33 And these are the singers, the chiefe fathers of the Leuites, which dwelt in the chambers, and had none other charge: for they had to do in that busines day and night:
Sebagian orang Lewi yang lain bertugas menjadi penyanyi di Rumah TUHAN. Kepala-kepala keluarga mereka tinggal di beberapa gedung di Rumah TUHAN. Mereka tidak diberi tugas lain, karena mereka dinas siang dan malam.
34 These were the chiefe fathers of the Leuites according to their generations, and the principall which dwelt at Ierusalem.
Orang-orang yang disebut di atas adalah kepala-kepala keluarga Lewi menurut garis keturunan mereka. Mereka adalah pemimpin-pemimpin yang tinggal di Yerusalem.
35 And in Gibeon dwelt ye father of Gibeon, Ieiel, and the name of his wife was Maachah.
Yeiel mendirikan kota Gibeon, lalu tinggal di situ. Istrinya bernama Maakha,
36 And his eldest sonne was Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
dan anaknya yang laki-laki, yang sulung bernama Abdon; yang lainnya bernama Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
Gedor, Ahyo, Zakharia dan Miklot,
38 And Mikloth begate Shimeam: they also dwelt with their brethren at Ierusalem, euen by their brethren.
ayah Simea. Keturunan mereka tinggal di Yerusalem bersama keluarga-keluarga lain yang sekaum dengan mereka.
39 And Ner begate Kish, and Kish begate Saul, and Saul begate Ionathan and Malchishua, and Abinadab and Eshbaal.
Ayah Raja Saul bernama Kish dan kakeknya bernama Ner. Saul mempunyai 4 anak laki-laki: Yonatan, Malkisua, Abinadab, dan Esybaal.
40 And the sonne of Ionathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begate Micah.
Yonatan mempunyai anak laki-laki bernama Meribaal, ayah Mikha.
41 And the sonnes of Micah were Pithon, and Melech and Tahrea.
Mikha mempunyai 4 anak laki-laki: Piton, Melekh, Tahrea dan Ahas.
42 And Ahaz begate Iarah, and Iarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaueth, and Zimri, and Zimri begate Moza.
Anak Ahas bernama Yoada yang mempunyai 3 anak laki-laki: Alemet, Asmawet dan Zimri. Garis keturunan Zimri ialah Moza,
43 And Moza begate Binea, whose sonne was Rephaiah, and his sonne was Eleasah, and his sonne Azel.
Bina, Rafa, Elasa dan Azel.
44 And Azel had sixe sonnes, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ismael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan: these are the sonnes of Azel.
Azel mempunyai 6 anak laki-laki: Azrikam, Bokhru, Ismael, Searya, Obaja dan Hanan.
