1 Chronicles 6
1 The sonnes of Leui were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Amadodana kaLevi yila: nguGeshoni, loKhohathi, kanye loMerari.
2 And the sonnes of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Vzziel.
Amadodana kaKhohathi yila: ngu-Amramu, lo-Izihari, loHebhroni kanye lo-Uziyeli.
3 And the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses and Miriam. And the sonnes of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Abantwana baka-Amramu yilaba: ngu-Aroni, loMosi kanye loMiriyemu. Amadodana ka-Aroni yila: nguNadabi, lo-Abhihu lo-Eliyazari lo-Ithamari.
4 Eleazar begate Phinehas. Phinehas begate Abishua,
U-Eliyazari wayenguyise kaFinehasi, uFinehasi enguyise ka-Abhishuwa,
5 And Abishua begate Bukki, and Bukki begate Vzzi,
u-Abhishuwa enguyise kaBhukhi, uBhukhi enguyise ka-Uzi,
6 And Vzzi begate Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begate Meraioth.
u-Uzi enguyise kaZerahiya, uZerahiya enguyise kaMerayothi,
7 Meraioth begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,
uMerayothi enguyise ka-Amariya, u-Amariya enguyise ka-Ahithubi,
8 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Ahimaaz,
u-Ahithubi enguyise kaZadokhi, uZadokhi enguyise ka-Ahimazi,
9 And Ahimaaz begate Azariah, and Azariah begate Iohanan,
u-Ahimazi enguyise ka-Azariya, u-Azariya enguyise kaJohanani,
10 And Iohanan begate Azariah (it was hee that was Priest in the house that Salomon built in Ierusalem)
uJohanani enguyise ka-Azariya; nguye lo owayengumphristi ethempelini elakhiwa nguSolomoni eJerusalema.
11 And Azariah begate Amariah, and Amariah begate Ahitub,
U-Azariya enguyise ka-Amariya, u-Amariya enguyise ka-Ahithubi,
12 And Ahitub begate Zadok, and Zadok begate Shallum,
u-Ahithubi enguyise kaZadokhi, uZadokhi enguyise kaShalumi,
13 And Shallum begate Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begate Azariah,
uShalumi enguyise kaHilikhiya, uHilikhiya enguyise ka-Azariya,
14 And Azariah begate Seraiah, and Seraiah begate Iehozadak,
u-Azariya enguyise kaSeraya, uSeraya enguyise kaJozadaki.
15 And Iehozadak departed when the Lord caried away into captiuitie Iudah and Ierusalem by the hand of Nebuchad-nezzar.
UJozadaki wathunjwa lapho uThixo athumba abakoJuda labaseJerusalema ngesandla sikaNebhukhadineza.
16 The sonnes of Leui were Gershom, Kohath and Merari.
Amadodana kaLevi yila: nguGeshoni, loKhohathi kanye loMerari.
17 And these be the names of the sonnes of Gershom, Libni, and Shimei.
Nanka amabizo amadodana kaGeshoni: nguLibhini loShimeyi.
18 And the sonnes of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron and Vzziel.
Amadodana kaKhohathi yila: ngu-Amramu, lo-Izihari, loHebhroni kanye lo-Uziyeli.
19 The sonnes of Merari, Mahli and Mushi: and these are the families of Leui concerning their fathers.
Amadodana kaMerari yila: nguMahili loMushi. Laba babelusendo lwabaLevi behlelwe ngoluhlu lwaboyise:
20 Of Gershom, Libni his sonne, Iahath his sonne, Zimmah his sonne,
AbakaGeshoni yilaba: nguLibhini indodana yakhe, loJahathi indodana yakhe, loZima indodana yakhe,
21 Ioah his sonne, Iddo his sonne, Zerah his sonne, Ieaterai his sonne.
loJowa indodana yakhe, lo-Ido indodana yakhe, loZera indodana yakhe kanye loJeyatherayi indodana yakhe.
22 The sonnes of Kohath, Aminadab his sonne, Korah his sonne, Assir his sonne,
Abosendo lukaKhohathi yilaba: ngu-Aminadabi indodana yakhe, loKhora indodana yakhe, lo-Asiri indodana yakhe,
23 Elkanah his sonne, and Ebiasaph his sonne, and Assir his sonne,
lo-Elikhana lo-Ebhiyasafi indodana yakhe lo-Asiri indodana yakhe,
24 Tahath his sonne, Vriel his sonne, Vzziah his sonne, and Shaul his sonne,
loThahathi indodana yakhe, lo-Uriyeli indodana yakhe, lo-Uziya indodana yakhe kanye loShawuli indodana yakhe.
25 And the sonnes of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.
Abosendo luka-Elikhana yilaba: ngu-Amasayi, lo-Ahimothi,
26 Elkanah. the sonnes of Elkanah, Zophai his sonne, and Nahath his sonne,
lo-Elikhana indodana yakhe, loZofayi indodana yakhe, loNahathi indodana yakhe,
27 Eliab his sonne, Ieroham his sonne, Elkanah his sonne,
lo-Eliyabi indodana yakhe, loJerohamu indodana yakhe, lo-Elikhana indodana yakhe kanye loSamuyeli indodana yakhe.
28 And the sonnes of Shemuel, the eldest Vashni, then Abiah.
Amadodana kaSamuyeli ayeyila: uVashini izibulo lo-Abhija indodana yesibili.
29 The sonnes of Merari were Mahli, Libni his sonne, Shimei his sonne, Vzzah his sonne,
Abosendo lukaMerari yilaba: nguMahili, loLibhini indodana yakhe, loShimeyi indodana yakhe, lo-Uza indodana yakhe,
30 Shimea his sonne, Haggiah his sonne, Asaiah his sonne.
loShimeya indodana yakhe, loHagiya indodana yakhe kanye lo-Asaya indodana yakhe.
31 And these be they whom Dauid set for to sing in the house of the Lord, after that the Arke had rest.
Laba yibo abakhethwa nguDavida ukuphatha ukuhlabelela endlini kaThixo ngemva kokubekwa kwebhokisi lesivumelwano khona.
32 And they ministred before the Tabernacle, euen the Tabernacle of the Congregation with singing, vntill Salomon had built ye house of the Lord in Ierusalem: then they continued in their office, according to their custome.
Bakhonza ngokuhlabelela phambi kwebhokisi lesivumelwano, iThente lokuHlanganela, uSolomoni waze wakha ithempeli likaThixo eJerusalema. Benza inkonzo yabo ngendlela okwakuqoqwe ngayo.
33 And these ministred with their children: of the sonnes of Kohath, Heman a singer, the sonne of Ioel, the sonne of Shemuel,

34 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ieroham, the sonne of Eliel, the sonne of Toah,

35 The sonne of Zuph, the sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Mahath, the sonne of Amasai,

36 The sonne of Elkanah, the sonne of Ioel, the sonne of Azariah, the sonne of Zephaniah,
indodana ka-Elikhana, indodana kaJoweli, indodana ka-Azariya, indodana kaZefaniya
37 The sonne of Tahath, the sonne of Assir, the sonne of Ebiasaph, the sonne of Korah,
indodana kaThahathi, indodana ka-Asiri, indodana ka-Ebhiyasafi, indodana kaKhora,
38 The sonne of Izhar, the sonne of Kohath, the sonne of Leui, the sonne of Israel.
indodana ka-Izihari, indodana kaKhohathi, indodana kaLevi, indodana ka-Israyeli.
39 And his brother Asaph stoode on his right hand: and Asaph was the sonne of Berechiah, the sonne of Shimea,
U-Asafi umkhula kaHemani owasebenza laye ngasesandleni sakhe sokudla: U-Asafi indodana kaBherekhiya, indodana kaShimeya,
40 The sonne of Michael, the sonne of Baaseiah, the sonne of Malchiah,
indodana kaMikhayeli, indodana kaBhaseya, indodana kaMalikhija,
41 The sonne of Ethni, the sonne of Zerah, the sonne of Adaiah,
indodana ka-Ethini, indodana kaZera, indodana ka-Adaya,
42 The sonne of Ethan, the sonne of Zimmah, the sonne of Shimei,
indodana ka-Ethani, indodana kaZima, indodana kaShimeyi,
43 The sonne of Iahath, the sonne of Gershom, the sonne of Leui.
indodana kaJahathi, indodana kaGeshoni, indodana kaLevi;
44 And their brethren the sonnes of Merari were on the left hand, euen Ethan the sonne of Kishi, the sonne of Abdi, the sonne of Malluch,
kanti njalo kubakhula babo amaMerari kwesenxele isandla sakhe yilaba: ngu-Ethani indodana kaKhishi, indodana ka-Abhidi, indodana kaMaluki,
45 The sonne of Hashabiah, the sonne of Amaziah, the sonne of Hilkiah,
indodana kaHashabhiya, indodana ka-Amaziya, indodana kaHilikhiya,
46 The sonne of Amzi, the sonne of Bani, the sonne of Shamer,
indodana ka-Amizi, indodana kaBhani, indodana kaShemeri,
47 The sonne of Mahli, the sonne of Mushi, the sonne of Merari, the sonne of Leui.
indodana kaMahili, indodana kaMushi, indodana kaMerari, indodana kaLevi.
48 And their brethren the Leuites were appointed vnto all the seruice of the Tabernacle of the house of God,
Abafowabo kubaLevi babephiwe yonke eminye imisebenzi ethabanikeleni, endlini kaNkulunkulu.
49 But Aaron and his sonnes burnt incense vpon the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all that was to do in the most holy place, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the seruant of God had commanded.

53 Zadok his sonne, and Ahimaaz his sonne.
loZadokhi indodana yakhe kanye lo-Ahimazi indodana yakhe.
54 And these are the dwelling places of them throughout their townes and coastes, euen of the sonnes of Aaron for the familie of the Kohathites, for the lot was theirs.

56 But the fielde of the citie, and the villages thereof they gaue to Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh.

57 And to the sonnes of Aaron they gaue the cities of Iudah for refuge, euen Hebron and Libna with their suburbes, and Iattir, and Eshtemoa with their suburbes,

58 And Hilen with her suburbes, and Debir with her suburbes,
leHileni, leDebhiri,
59 And Ashan and her suburbes, and Bethshemesh and her suburbes:
le-Ashani, leJuta leBhethi-Shemeshi, ndawonye lamadlelo akhona.
60 And of the tribe of Beniamin, Geba and her suburbes, and Alemeth with her suburbes, and Anathoth with her suburbes: all their cities were thirteene cities by their families.
Esizwaneni sikaBhenjamini baphiwa iGibhiyoni, leGebha, le-Alemethi le-Anathothi, kanye lamadlelo akhona. Imizi eyaphiwa amaKhohathi yayilitshumi lantathu.
61 And vnto the sonnes of Kohath the remnant of the familie of the tribe, euen of the halfe tribe of the halfe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.

62 And to the sonnes of Gershom according to their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteene cities.

63 Vnto the sonnes of Merari according to their families out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelue cities.
Abosendo lukaMerari, indlu ngendlu, baphiwa imizi elitshumi lambili esizwaneni sikaRubheni, lesikaGadi lesikaZebhuluni.
64 Thus the children of Israel gaue to the Leuites cities with their suburbes.
Ngakho yiyo imizi lamadlelo ayo eyaphiwa abaLevi ngama-Israyeli.
65 And they gaue by lot out of the tribe of the children of Iudah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Beniamin, these cities, which they called by their names.

66 And they of the families of the sonnes of Kohath, had cities and their coastes out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 And they gaue vnto them cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim, and her suburbes, and Gezer and her suburbes,

68 Iokmeam also and her suburbes, and Bethhoron with her suburbes,
leJokhimeyamu, leBhethi-Horoni,
69 And Aialon and her suburbes, and Gath Rimmon and her suburbes,
le-Ayijaloni leGathi-Rimoni, kanye lamadlelo akhona.
70 And out of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Aner and her suburbes, and Bileam and her suburbes, for the families of the remnant of the sonnes of Kohath.
Engxenyeni yesizwana sikaManase abako-Israyeli, banika insalela yamaKhohathi, i-Aneri leBhileyamu kanye lamadlelo akhona.
71 Vnto the sonnes of Gershom out of the familie of the halfe tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, and her suburbes, and Ashtaroth with her suburbes,
AmaGeshoni azuza lezindawo: Kwabosendo lwengxenye yesizwana sikaManase bazuza iGolani eBhashani kanye le-Ashitharothi, ndawonye lamadlelo akhona;
72 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh and her suburbes, Daberath and her suburbes,
esizwaneni sika-Isakhari bazuza iKhedeshi, leDabherathi,
73 Ramoth also and her suburbes, and Anem with her suburbes,
leRamothi le-Anema lamadlelo akhona;
74 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal and her suburbes, and Abdon and her suburbes,
esizwaneni sika-Asheri bazuza iMashali, le-Abhidoni,
75 And Hukok and her suburbs, and Rehob and her suburbes,
leHukhokhi leRehobhi, kanye lamadlelo akhona;
76 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilea and her suburbes, and Hammon and her suburbes, and Kiriathaim and her suburbes.
esizwaneni sikaNafithali bazuza iKhedeshi eGalile, leHamoni, leKhiriyathayimi kanye lamadlelo akhona.
77 Vnto the rest of the children of Merari were giuen out of ye tribe of Zebulun Rimmon and her suburbes, Tabor and her suburbes,
AmaMerari (insalela yabaLevi) aphiwa kanje: esizwaneni sikaZebhuluni azuza iJokhiniyamu, iKhatha, iRimoni leThabhori, kanye lamadlelo akhona;
78 And on the other side Iorden by Iericho, euen on the Eastside of Iorden, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wildernesse with her suburbes, and Iahzah with her suburbes,
esizwaneni sikaRubheni ngaphetsheya kweJodani ngempumalanga yeJerikho azuza iBhezeri enkangala, leJahazi,
79 And Kedemoth with her suburbes, and Mephaath with her suburbes,
leKhedemothi kanye leMefahathi lamadlelo akhona;
80 And out of the tribe of Gad Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbes, and Mahanaim with her suburbes,
lasesizwaneni sikaGadi azuza iRamothi eGiliyadi, leMahanayimi,
81 And Heshbon with her suburbes, and Iaazer with her suburbes.
leHeshibhoni, leJazeri, kanye lamadlelo akhona.
