< Deuteronomy 12 >

1 These are the rules and regulations you must make sure to follow the whole time you live in the land that the Lord, the God of your forefathers, has given you to own.
Yeinom ne mmara ne ahyɛdeɛ a ɛsɛ sɛ modi so, ɛberɛ a mote asase a Awurade, mo agyanom Onyankopɔn, de ama mo no so.
2 You are to completely destroy all the pagan shrines where the nations you're driving out worshiped their gods: on the top of high mountains, on the hills, and under every green tree.
Sɛ motu amanaman a wɔtete hɔ no firi hɔ a, ɛsɛ sɛ mosɛe mmeammea a wɔsom wɔn anyame no nyinaa—mmepɔ no atifi, nkokoɔ no atifi ne nnua a ɛyi nhahammono no ase nyinaa.
3 Tear down their altars, knock down their idolatrous pillars, burn down their Asherah poles, and cut down the idols of their gods. Remove any trace of them from everywhere.
Mommubu wɔn afɔrebukyia nyinaa na monyam wɔn ɔsom adum no. Momfa ogya nhye wɔn abosompɔ na mommobɔ wɔn ahoni a wɔayeyɛ no. Mompepa wɔn ahoni no din mfiri mmeammea hɔ.
4 You are not to worship the Lord your God in the way that they did.
Mommfa wɔn akwan no so nsom Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn.
5 No, you must go to the place the Lord your God will choose from the territory of all your tribes to set up a place where he will live with you. That's where you must go.
6 You'll take there your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and all your offerings—your freewill offerings and offerings to fulfill a promise, along with the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
Ɛhɔ na momfa mo hyeɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ mmra mmɛbɔ a mo ntotosoɔ dudu, akyɛdeɛ sononko, adeɛ a moaka ho ntam sɛ mode bɛba ne afɔrebɔdeɛ a ɛfiri akoma pa mu, mo anantwie ne mo nnwan mu mmakan nso ka ho.
7 That's where, in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families will eat and celebrate everything you've worked for, because the Lord your God has blessed you.
Ɛhɔ na Awurade mo Onyankopɔn anim, mo ne mo abusuafoɔ bɛdidi na mo ani agye wɔ biribiara a mo nsa aka wɔ hɔ, ɛfiri sɛ, Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, ahyira mo.
8 You're not to do like we're doing here today. At the moment everyone does what they think is right,
Ɛnnɛ yi, deɛ mopɛ biara na moyɛ, nanso, ɛnyɛ ne kwan ne no,
9 because you haven't arrived in the land you will own that the Lord your God is giving you and where you will be at peace.
ɛfiri sɛ, monnuruu ahomegyebea a Awurade mo Onyankopɔn de rebɛma mo no hɔ.
10 After you cross the Jordan and settle down in the country that the Lord your God is giving you to possess, and he lets you rest from fighting all your enemies and you live in safety,
Ɛrenkyɛre biara, mobɛtwa Asubɔnten Yordan akɔtena asase a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, de rema mo sɛ agyapadeɛ sononko no so. Sɛ ɔma mo ahomegyeɛ ne banbɔ wɔ mo atamfoɔ ho a,
11 then the Lord your God will choose a place where he will live with you. That's where you are to bring everything I've order you to do—your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and freewill offerings, and all the special gifts you promise to give to the Lord.
momfa biribiara a mɛhyɛ mo sɛ momfa mmra a ɛyɛ mo ɔhyeɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ, ntotosoɔ dudu, akyɛdeɛ sononko ne mo ɔma ahodoɔ ne mo bɔhyɛ afɔdeɛ. Momfa nkɔ beaeɛ a Awurade mo Onyankopɔn bɛyi ama mo a mobɛkamfo ne din wɔ hɔ no.
12 You will celebrate there in the presence of the Lord your God—you, your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites living in your towns, because they don't have any share in the allotment of land.
Mo ne mo mmammarima, mo mmammaa ne mo nkoa nyinaa nnye mo ani wɔ hɔ wɔ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, anim. Na monkae Lewifoɔ a wɔtete mo nkuro so no sɛ, wɔnni asase a ɛyɛ wɔn dea.
13 Make sure you don't present your burnt offerings just anywhere you want.
Monhwɛ yie na moammɔ mo hyeɛ afɔdeɛ wɔ baabiara kwa.
14 You are to offer them only in the place the Lord will choose in the territory of one of your tribes. That's where you are to do everything that I order you to do.
Motumi yɛ saa wɔ baabi pɔtee a Awurade ayi afiri mo mmusua asase bi mu ama mo. Ɛhɔ na motumi bɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ na moyɛ biribiara a mɛhyɛ mo sɛ monyɛ no.
15 Of course you can slaughter and eat meat wherever you are, anytime you want, depending on how much the Lord your God has blessed you. All of you, whether you're ceremonially clean or not, can it eat it just like you would a gazelle or a deer,
Nanso, kuro biara a mopɛ so no, motumi kum mmoa we sɛdeɛ mokum atwe ne adabɔ no. Motumi we ɛnam dodoɔ biara a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, de bɛma mo. Mo nyinaa, sɛ mo ho te anaa mo ho nte no, motumi we bi.
16 but you are not to eat the blood—pour that out on the ground.
Mmara a ɛbata ho ara ne sɛ, monnni mogya no. Montwa ngu fam te sɛ nsuo.
17 In your towns you must not eat the tithe of your grain or new wine or olive oil, the firstborn of your herds or flocks, any of the offerings that you give to fulfill a promise, your freewill offerings, or your special gifts.
Ɛnsɛ sɛ modi mo afɔdeɛ, ntotosoɔ dudu a ɛfiri mo aburoo mu, mo nsã foforɔ ne ngo anaa mo anantwie ne mo nnwan abakan wɔ mo kuro mu. Biribiara a moaka ho ntam sɛ mode bɛma Awurade anaa deɛ mofiri akoma pa mu ahyɛ ho bɔ anaa akyɛdeɛ sononko biara, ɛnsɛ sɛ modi.
18 No, you must eat them in the presence of the Lord your God at the place the Lord your God will choose— you, your sons and daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites living in your towns. Celebrate in the presence of the Lord your God in everything you do,
Mmom, ɛsɛ sɛ modi no wɔ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, anim wɔ baabi a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, bɛkyerɛ mo no a mo, mo mmammarima ne mo mmammaa mo nkoa ne mo mfenaa ne Lewifoɔ a wɔfiri mo nkuro mu ka mo ho. Monnye mo ani wɔ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn anim wɔ biribiara a mobɛyɛ no ho.
19 and make sure you don't forget about the Levites as the whole time you live in your land.
Monhwɛ yie na moantwa Lewifoɔ no annya wɔ mmerɛ dodoɔ a mote mo asase so yi.
20 When the Lord your God gives you more land as he promised, and you feel like some meat, and say, “I want to have some meat,” you may can it whenever you want.
Sɛ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, trɛ mo asase mu sɛdeɛ wahyɛ mo ho bɔ no a, ɛnneɛ, mobɛtumi awe ɛnam mmerɛ biara a mopɛ.
21 If the place where the Lord your God chooses to live with you is a long way away, then you can slaughter any animal from the herd or flock he has given you, following the regulations I have given you, and you can eat it in your town whenever you want.
Ɛtumi ba sɛ baabi a Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, ayi ama mo sɛ monkamfo ne din hɔ no ne mo fie kwan ware. Sɛ ɛba saa a, motumi kum mo anantwie anaa nnwan a Awurade de ama mo no bi we ɛnam no wɔ mo fie sɛdeɛ mahyɛ mo no.
22 In fact you can eat it like you would eat a gazelle or deer—whether you're ceremonially clean or not, you can eat it.
Obi a ne ho te anaa ne ho nte tumi we ɛnam no bi sɛdeɛ mowe ɔtwe ne ɔdabɔ no.
23 Just make sure you don't eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat.
Mmara a ɛwɔ ho ara ne sɛ, monnni mogya no, ɛfiri sɛ, mogya no yɛ nkwa enti ɛnsɛ sɛ modi nkwa no fra ɛnam no.
24 You must not eat the blood; pour it out on the ground.
Mmom, monhwie mogya no ngu fam sɛ nsuo.
25 Don't eat it, so that all will go well with you and your children, because you will be doing what is right in the Lord's sight.
Monnni mogya no, na asi mo ne mo mma yie, ɛfiri sɛ, moayɛ deɛ ɛsɔ Awurade ani.
26 Take your holy sacrifices and the offerings to fulfill your vows and go to the place the Lord will choose.
Momfa mo akyɛdeɛ kronkron ne mo bɔhyɛ afɔrebɔdeɛ nkɔ beaeɛ a Awurade akyerɛ.
27 Present your burnt offerings, the meat and blood, on the altar of the Lord your God. The blood of your other sacrifices is to be poured out beside the altar of the Lord your God, but you are allowed to eat the meat.
Ɛsɛ sɛ mode ɛnam ne mogya a mode bɔ ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ no gu Awurade mo Onyankopɔn no afɔrebukyia so. Mogya a ɛka mo afɔdeɛ foforɔ bi a mobɔ ho no, monhwie ngu Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, afɔrebukyia no nkyɛn nanso motumi we ɛnam no.
28 Make sure you obey everything I'm commanding you, so that it may always go well with you and your children, because you will be following what is good and right in the sight of the Lord your God.
Monhwɛ yie na monni me mmara so na biribiara bɛkɔ yie ama mo ne mo mma, ɛfiri sɛ, mobɛyɛ deɛ ɛsɔ Awurade mo Onyankopɔn ani.
29 When the Lord your God destroys the nations ahead of you as you enter the country to possess, and you drive them out and settle down in their land,
Sɛ Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, sɛe aman no na mopam wɔn kɔtena wɔn asase no so a,
30 make sure you don't fall into the trap of following their ways after they have been destroyed right in front of you. Don't try and find out about their gods, asking, “I wonder how these people worship their gods? I'll do like they did.”
mommma ɛkwan a wɔfa so som wɔn anyame no nyɛ afidie mma mo. Mommmisa sɛ “Ɛkwan bɛn so na saa aman yi fa som wɔn anyame? Yɛpɛ sɛ yɛdi wɔn akyi.”
31 You must not worship the Lord your God like this, because when they worship their gods they do every kind of abominable thing that the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods!
Mommfa saa ɛkwan yi so nsom Awurade, mo Onyankopɔn, ɛfiri sɛ, wɔn anyame no som mu no, wɔyɛɛ akyiwadeɛ bebree a Awurade mpɛ. Mpo, wɔhyee wɔn mmammarima ne wɔn mmammaa wɔ ogya a wɔde rebɔ afɔdeɛ ama wɔn anyame no mu.
32 Be careful to do everything I order you to do. Don't add or take away anything from these instructions.
Monhwɛ sɛ, deɛ mahyɛ mo no nyinaa mobɛdi so; mommfa bi nka ho na monnyi bi nso mfiri mu.
