Psalms 55
1 Unto the end, in verses, understanding for David. Hear, O God, my prayer, and despise not my supplication:
(Giáo huấn ca của Đa-vít, soạn cho nhạc trưởng, dùng đàn dây) Lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin lắng nghe con cầu nguyện. Xin đừng làm ngơ lời khẩn nài của con!
2 Be attentive to me and hear me. I am grieved in my exercise; and am troubled,
Xin Chúa nghe và đáp lời con, con bối rối, bồn chồn, và quẫn trí.
3 At the voice of the enemy, and at the tribulation of the sinner. For they have cast iniquities upon me: and in wrath they were troublesome to me.
Khi nghe tiếng quân thù, khi đối diện cái nhìn của bọn gian ác. Họ tuôn đổ đau thương trên con, vì họ bắt bớ con trong cơn giận dữ.
4 My heart is troubled within me: and the fear of death is fallen upon me.
Lòng con đau xót, hoang mang, như lạc bước sa chân vào chỗ chết.
5 Fear and trembling are come upon me: and darkness hath covered me.
Con khiếp sợ và run rẩy, nỗi kinh hoàng tràn ngập trên con.
6 And I said: Who will give me wings like a dove, and I will fly and be at rest?
Ước gì con có đôi cánh như bồ câu; cao bay xa chạy tìm đường an thân!
7 Lo, I have gone far off flying away; and I abode in the wilderness.
Để chạy thoát đi xa, ở tận vùng hoang mạc.
8 I waited for him that hath saved me from pusillanimity of spirit, and a storm.
Con vội vàng tìm nơi ẩn náu— để lánh xa bão tố căm thù.
9 Cast down, O Lord, and divide their tongues; for I have seen iniquity and contradiction in the city.
Lạy Chúa, xin khiến chúng hoang mang, cho ngôn ngữ bất đồng, vì thành phố đầy bạo động và tội ác.
10 Day and night shall iniquity surround it upon its walls: and in the midst thereof are labour,
Ngày đêm, họ lảng vảng quanh thành, dân cư bị loạn ly, gian khổ,
11 And injustice. And usury and deceit have not departed from its streets.
Tai ương, áp bức, hủy hoại khắp nơi, đường phố đầy hăm dọa và gian dối.
12 For if my enemy had reviled me, I would verily have borne with it. And if he that hated me had spoken great things against me, I would perhaps have hidden myself from him.
Giá tôi bị quân thù thách đố— thì tôi cũng ráng chịu. Hoặc địch thủ ra mặt tranh giành— tôi đã biết tìm đường lẩn tránh.
13 But thou a man of one mind, my guide, and my familiar,
Nhưng người hại tôi chính là bạn thân, người gần gũi, ngang hàng với tôi.
14 Who didst take sweetmeats together with me: in the house of God we walked with consent.
Họ đã cùng tôi thân mật chuyện trò, chúng tôi cùng dự lễ nơi nhà Đức Chúa Trời.
15 Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into hell. For there is wickedness in their dwellings: in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
Xin sự chết thình lình đến trên họ; khiến họ phải vào âm phủ, vì cưu mang gian ác trong lòng. (Sheol h7585)
16 But I have cried to God: and the Lord will save me.
Nhưng con kêu cứu Đức Chúa Trời, và được Chúa Hằng Hữu giải thoát.
17 Evening and morning, and at noon I will speak and declare: and he shall hear my voice.
Cả sáng, tối, lẫn trưa, lòng con luôn khẩn nguyện, và Chúa Hằng Hữu nghe tiếng con thở than.
18 He shall redeem my soul in peace from them that draw near to me: for among many they were with me.
Chúa giải cứu con và giữ con an toàn khi quân thù gây chiến với con.
19 God shall hear, and the Eternal shall humble them. For there is no change with them, and they have not feared God:
Đức Chúa Trời, Đấng cai trị vĩnh viễn, sẽ lắng nghe và báo trả công minh. Kẻ thù con không thay đổi đường mình, cũng không biết kính sợ Đức Chúa Trời.
20 He hath stretched forth his hand to repay. They have defiled his covenant,
Bạn thân con phản bội bạn bè; họ bội ước điều mình đã hứa.
21 They are divided by the wrath Of his countenance, and his heart hath drawn near. His words are smoother than oil, and the same are darts.
Ngoài miệng nói toàn lời êm ái, mà trong lòng thì chuẩn bị chiến tranh. Lưỡi đẩy đưa lời hứa hẹn hòa bình, nhưng thâm tâm lưỡi gươm trần giấu sẵn.
22 Cast thy care upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall not suffer the just to waver for ever.
Hãy trao gánh nặng mình cho Chúa Hằng Hữu, và Ngài sẽ đỡ nâng, Ngài không để người tin kính bị vấp ngã.
23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee, O Lord.
Nhưng lạy Đức Chúa Trời, xin cho bọn người gian ác rơi xuống hố hủy diệt. Kẻ sát nhân và bọn dối trá sẽ chết yểu; còn riêng con, suốt đời tin cậy Ngài.
