Isaiah 66
1 Thus saith Jehovah: The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool: what is the house that ye will build unto me? and what is the place of my rest?
১সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “স্বর্গ আমার সিংহাসন এবং পৃথিবী আমার পা রাখার জায়গা। তাহলে তোমরা কোথায় আমার জন্য ঘর তৈরী করবে? সেই জায়গাই বা কোথায় যেখানে আমি বিশ্রাম নিতে পারি?
2 Even all these things hath my hand made, and all these things have been, saith Jehovah. But to this man will I look: to the afflicted and contrite in spirit, and who trembleth at my word.
২আমার হাত এই সমস্ত জিনিস তৈরী করেছে; আর এইভাবেই এই বিষয়গুলি হয়েছে, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন। এই সেই ব্যক্তি অর্থাৎ যে দুঃখী ও যার আত্মা চূর্ণবিচূর্ণ হয়েছে এবং আমার কথায় ভয় পায়, আমি তাকে সমর্থন করব।
3 He that slaughtereth an ox, smiteth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, breaketh a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, [it is as] swine's blood; he that presenteth a memorial of incense, [is as] he that blesseth an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations,
৩যে একটা ষাঁড় বলিদান করে সে সেই ব্যক্তির মত যে মানুষ হত্যা করে, যে একটা ভেড়ার বাচ্চা বলিদান করে, সে সেই ব্যক্তির মত যে কুকুরের ঘাড় ভেঙে ফেলে; যে ব্যক্তি শস্য উৎসর্গ করে, সে যেন শূকরের রক্ত উত্সর্গ করে; যে ব্যক্তি ধূপ উত্সর্গ করে সে অধার্মিকতাকে আশীর্বাদ করে। তারা তাদের পথ বেছে নিয়েছে এবং তারা তাদের ঘৃণার জিনিসগুলোতে আনন্দ পায়।
4 I also will choose their calamities, and will bring their fears upon them; because I called, and none answered, I spoke, and they did not hear, but did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delight not.
৪একইভাবে আমিও তাদের জন্য শাস্তি বেছে নেব; তারা যা ভয় করে আমি তাদের উপরে সেগুলিই ঘটাব, কারণ যখন আমি ডাকলাম, তখন কেউ উত্তর দেয় নি; আর যখন আমি কথা বললাম তখন কেউ শোনে নি। আমার চোখে যা মন্দ তারা তাই করেছে, আর যে বিষয়ে আমি খুশি হইনা তারা সেগুলো করার জন্য বেছে নেয়।”
5 Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let Jehovah be glorified, and let us see your joy! but they shall be ashamed.
৫তোমরা যারা সদাপ্রভুর কথায় কাঁপ, তোমরা তাঁর কথা শোন। “তোমাদের যে ভাইয়েরা তোমাদের ঘৃণা করে এবং আমার নামের জন্য তোমাদের বের করে দেয়, তারা বলে, ‘সদাপ্রভু মহিমান্বিত হোক, যেন আমরা তোমাদের আনন্দ দেখতে পাই।’ কিন্তু তারা লজ্জায় পড়বে।
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompence to his enemies!
৬শহর থেকে যুদ্ধের আওয়াজ আসছে, মন্দির থেকে শব্দ শোনা যাচ্ছে; এ সদাপ্রভুরই আওয়াজ যা তিনি তাঁর শত্রুদের প্রতিফল হিসাবে ফিরিয়ে দিচ্ছেন।
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child.
৭প্রসব বেদনা হওয়ার আগেই সে [সিয়োন], সন্তানের জন্ম দেয়; তার ব্যথা ওঠার আগেই সে একটা ছেলের জন্ম দিয়েছে।
8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Can a land be made to bring forth in one day? shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.
৮এমন বিষয়ের কথা কে শুনেছে? এমন বিষয় কে দেখেছে? একটা দেশ কি এক দিনের র মধ্যে জন্ম নিতে পারে? একটা জাতি কি এক মুহূর্তে জন্ম নিতে পারে? কিন্তু সিয়োনের ব্যথা উঠতে না উঠতেই সে তার সন্তানদের জন্ম দিয়েছে।
9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith Jehovah; I who cause to bring forth, shall I shut [the womb]? saith thy God.
৯আমি একজন মাকে তার প্রসবের দিন উপস্থিত করে তার সন্তানকে জন্ম হতে দেব না?” এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন৷ “জন্ম দিচ্ছি যে আমি তখন আমি কি আটকে রাখব” তোমার ঈশ্বরকে জিজ্ঞাসা কর৷
10 Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her; rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her:
১০তোমরা যারা যিরূশালেমকে ভালবাস, তোমরা তার সঙ্গে আনন্দ কর, তার জন্য খুশী হও; তোমরা যারা তার জন্য দুঃখ করেছ, তোমরা তার সঙ্গে আনন্দ কর।
11 because ye shall suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; because ye shall drink out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
১১তোমরা স্তন পান করবে ও তৃপ্ত হবে; তার স্তনে তোমরা সান্ত্বনা পাবে; কারণ তোমরা তা পর্যাপ্ত পরিমাণে পান করবে এবং তার মহিমার প্রাচুর্যে আনন্দিত হবে।
12 For thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing torrent; and ye shall suck, ye shall be carried upon the side, and be dandled upon the knees.
১২সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “আমি তার উপরে নদীর মত করে মঙ্গল বইয়ে দেব, আর জাতিদের ধন-সম্পদ তার কাছে বন্যার মত আসবে। তোমরা দুধ পান করবে, তোমাদের তার কোলে করে বহন করা হবে এবং হাঁটুর উপরে নাচানো হবে।
13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
১৩যেমন মা তার সন্তানকে সান্ত্বনা দেয়, তেমনি আমিও তোমাদের সান্ত্বনা দেব এবং তোমরা যিরূশালেমে সান্ত্বনা পাবে।”
14 And ye shall see [this], and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants, and he will have indignation toward his enemies.
১৪এই সব তোমরা দেখবে এবং তোমাদের হৃদয় আনন্দিত হবে এবং তোমাদের হাড়গুলো কচি ঘাসের মতই সতেজ হয়ে উঠবে। সদাপ্রভুর হাত তাঁর দাসদের কাছে প্রকাশ পাবে, কিন্তু তিনি তাঁর শত্রুদের প্রতি ক্রোধ প্রকাশ করবেন।
15 For behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
১৫কারণ দেখ, সদাপ্রভু আগুনের সঙ্গে আসবেন আর তাঁর রথগুলো ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের মত আসবে। তাঁর ক্রোধ ভয়ঙ্করভাবে প্রকাশ করতে এবং তাঁর তিরস্কার আগুনের শিখায় প্রকাশ করতে আসবেন।
16 For by fire and by his sword will Jehovah enter into judgment with all flesh: and the slain of Jehovah shall be many.
১৬কারণ সদাপ্রভু তাঁর বিচার আগুন ও তরোয়াল দিয়ে মানবজাতির উপরে প্রকাশ করবেন৷ সদাপ্রভুর দ্বারা যারা মারা যাবে তারা সংখ্যায় অনেক হবে।
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one in the midst; that eat swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall perish together, saith Jehovah.
১৭এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন, “তারা নিজেদেরকে সূচি করে এবং নিজেদেরকে পবিত্র করে, যেন তারা বাগানে প্রবেশ করতে পারে এবং তাদের মধ্যে যারা শূকর ও ইঁদুরের মত অশুচি প্রাণীর মাংস খায়, তারা ধ্বংস হবে।”
18 And I, — their works and their thoughts [are before me]. ...[The time] cometh for the gathering of all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
১৮কারণ আমি তাদের সব কাজ ও তাদের সমস্ত চিন্তাও জানি। সেই দিন আসছে যখন আমি সমস্ত জাতি এবং সমস্ত ভাষার লোকদের জড়ো করব। তারা আসবে এবং আমার মহিমা দেখবে।
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory: and they shall declare my glory among the nations.
১৯আমি তাদের মধ্যে একটা চিহ্ন স্থাপন করব৷ তখন তাদের মধ্য থেকে যারা বেঁচে থাকবে তাদের আমি জাতিদের কাছে পাঠাব, তর্শীশ, পূল ও নাম-করা ধনুকধারী লূদ, তূবল ও যবনের (গ্রীসের) কাছে এবং সেই সমস্ত দূরের দেশগুলো যারা আমার বিষয়ে শোনে নি ও আমার মহিমাও দেখে নি তাদের কাছে পাঠাব। তারা আমার মহিমা জাতিদের মধ্যে ঘোষণা করবে।
20 And they shall bring all your brethren out of all the nations as an oblation unto Jehovah, upon horses, and in chariots, and in covered waggons, and upon mules, and upon dromedaries, to my holy mountain, to Jerusalem, saith Jehovah, as the children of Israel bring an oblation in a clean vessel into the house of Jehovah.
২০সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশ্যে উৎসর্গ হিসাবে তারা সমস্ত জাতির মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের ভাইদের ফিরিয়ে নিয়ে আসবে৷ তারা ঘোড়ায় করে, রথ ও গাড়িতে করে, গাধা ও উটে করে আমার পবিত্র পাহাড় যিরূশালেমে আসবে, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন। যেমন ইস্রায়েলীয়েরা শুচি পাত্রের মধ্যে শস্য উৎসর্গের জিনিস সদাপ্রভুর গৃহে নিয়ে আসে।
21 And I will also take of them for priests [and] for Levites, saith Jehovah.
২১আমি তাদের মধ্য থেকে কয়েকজন লেবীয় ও যাজক হওয়ার জন্য বেছে নেব, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith Jehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.
২২“যে নতুন মহাকাশ ও নতুন পৃথিবী আমি তৈরী করব তা যেমন আমার সামনে থাকবে তেমনি তোমাদের নাম ও তোমাদের বংশধরেরাও টিকে থাকবে, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন।”
23 And it shall come to pass from new moon to new moon, and from sabbath to sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, saith Jehovah.
২৩এক মাস থেকে আর এক মাস ও এক বিশ্রামবার থেকে পরের বিশ্রামবার পর্যন্ত, সমস্ত লোক আমার সামনে নত হতে আসবে, এই কথা সদাপ্রভু বলেন।
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.
২৪“তারা বাইরে যাবে এবং সেই সমস্ত লোকদের মৃতদেহ দেখতে পাবে যারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছিল। যে সব পোকা তাদের মৃতদেহ খায় সেগুলো মরবে না ও যে আগুন তাদের পোড়ায় তা নিভবে না এবং তারা সমস্ত মানুষের কাছে ঘৃণার বিষয় হবে।”
