Genesis 6
1 And it came to pass when mankind began to multiply on the earth, and daughters were born to them,
Y acaeció que cuando comenzaron los hombres a multiplicarse sobre la haz de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,
2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair, and took themselves wives of all that they chose.
Viendo los hijos de Dios las hijas de los hombres que eran hermosas, tomáronse mujeres escogiendo entre todas.
3 And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not always plead with Man; for he indeed is flesh; but his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
Y dijo Jehová: No contenderá mi Espíritu con el hombre para siempre, porque ciertamente él es carne: mas serán sus días ciento y veinte años.
4 In those days were the giants on the earth, and also afterwards, when the sons of God had come in to the daughters of men, and they had borne [children] to them; these were the heroes, who of old were men of renown.
Había gigantes en la tierra en aquellos días; y también después que entraron los hijos de Dios a las hijas de los hombres, y les engendraron hijos, estos fueron los valientes, que desde la antigüedad fueron varones de nombre.
5 And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of Man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart only evil continually.
Y vio Jehová que la malicia de los hombres era mucha sobre la tierra, y que todo el intento de los pensamientos del corazón de ellos ciertamente era malo todo el tiempo.
6 And Jehovah repented that he had made Man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
Y arrepintióse Jehová de haber hecho hombre en la tierra; y pesóle en su corazón.
7 And Jehovah said, I will destroy Man, whom I have created, from the earth — from man to cattle, to creeping things, and to fowl of the heavens; for I repent that I have made them.
Y dijo Jehová: Raeré los hombres que he creado de sobre la haz de la tierra, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, y hasta el reptil, y hasta el ave de los cielos; porque me arrepiento de haberlos hecho.
8 But Noah found favour in the eyes of Jehovah.
Empero Noé halló gracia en los ojos de Jehová.
9 This is the history of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect amongst his generations: Noah walked with God.
Estas son las generaciones de Noé: Noé, varón justo, perfecto fue en sus generaciones: con Dios anduvo Noé.
10 And Noah begot three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Y engendró Noé tres hijos, a Sem, a Cam, y a Jafet.
11 And the earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was full of violence.
Y corrompióse la tierra delante de Dios, e hinchióse la tierra de violencia.
12 And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted its way on the earth.
Y vio Dios la tierra, y he aquí que estaba corrompida, porque toda carne había corrompido su camino sobre la tierra.
13 And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is full of violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Y dijo Dios a Noé: El fin de toda carne ha venido delante de mí: porque la tierra está llena de violencia delante de ellos: y he aquí que yo los destruyo a ellos con la tierra.
14 Make thyself an ark of gopher wood: [with] cells shalt thou make the ark; and pitch it inside and outside with pitch.
Hazte un arca de madera de cedro: harás apartamientos en el arca, y embetunarla has por de dentro y por de fuera con betún.
15 And thus shalt thou make it: let the length of the ark be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
Y de esta manera la harás: De trescientos codos la longura del arca, y de cincuenta codos su anchura, y de treinta codos su altura.
16 A light shalt thou make to the ark; and to a cubit high shalt thou finish it above. And the door of the ark shalt thou set in its side: [with] a lower, second, and third [story] shalt thou make it.
Una ventana harás al arca, y a un codo la acabarás de la parte de arriba: y la puerta del arca pondrás a su lado de suelos bajos, segundos, y terceros le harás.
17 For I, behold, I bring a flood of waters on the earth, to destroy all flesh under the heavens in which is the breath of life: everything that is on the earth shall expire.
Y yo, he aquí que yo traigo un diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra, para destruir toda carne, en que haya espíritu de vida debajo del cielo: todo lo que hubiere en la tierra, morirá.
18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt go into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
Mas yo estableceré mi concierto contigo, y entrarás en el arca tú, y tus hijos, y tu mujer, y las mujeres de tus hijos contigo.
19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every [sort] shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep [them] alive with thee: they shall be male and female.
Y de todo lo que vive, de toda carne, dos de cada uno meterás en el arca, para que tengan vida contigo: macho y hembra serán.
20 Of fowl after their kind, and of the cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of each shall go in to thee, to keep [them] alive.
De las aves según su especie, y de las bestias según su especie, de todo reptil de la tierra según su especie, dos de cada uno entrarán a ti, para que tengan vida.
21 And take thou of all food that is eaten, and gather [it] to thee, that it may be for food for thee and for them.
Y tú tómate de toda vianda que se come, y júntatela, y será para ti y para ellos por mantenimiento.
22 And Noah did it; according to all that God had commanded him, so did he.
E hizo Noé conforme a todo lo que le mandó Dios: así lo hizo.
