Ezekiel 11
1 And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me unto the east gate of Jehovah's house, which looketh eastward; and behold, at the door of the gate were five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.
Me arrebató el Espíritu y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la Casa de Yahvé, que mira hacia el oriente; y he aquí, a la entrada de la puerta, veinte y cinco hombres; y vi en medio de ellos a Jezonías, hijo de Azur, y a Feltías hijo de Banaías, príncipes del pueblo.
2 And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and give wicked counsel in this city:
Y me dijo: “Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que urden maldades y dan perversos consejos en esta ciudad.
3 who say, It is not the time to build houses: this is the cauldron, and we are the flesh.
Estos son los que dicen «¿Acaso no han sido construidas poco ha, casas? Esta (ciudad) es la olla, y nosotros somos la carne.»”
4 Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man.
Por eso profetiza contra ellos; profetiza, hijo de hombre.
5 And the Spirit of Jehovah fell on me, and said unto me, Speak, Thus saith Jehovah: Thus have ye said, O house of Israel; and the things that come into your mind, I know them.
Y vino sobre mí el Espíritu de Yahvé, y me dijo: “Habla. Así dice Yahvé: De esta manera habéis hablado, oh casa de Israel, pero Yo conozco lo que pensáis en vuestro corazón.
6 Ye have multiplied your slain in this city, and ye have filled the streets thereof with the slain.
Habéis multiplicado los muertos en esta ciudad y llenado de cadáveres sus calles.
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Your slain whom ye have laid in the midst of it, they are the flesh, and it is the cauldron; but you will I bring forth out of the midst of it.
Por eso así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Vuestros muertos que habéis dejado en medio de ella, ellos son la carne, y ella es la olla. Pero Yo os sacaré de en medio de ella.
8 Ye have feared the sword, and I will bring a sword upon you, saith the Lord Jehovah.
Teméis la espada, por eso haré venir sobre vosotros la espada, dice Yahvé, el Señor.
9 And I will bring you out of the midst of it, and give you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
Os sacaré fuera de ella, y os entregaré en manos de los extranjeros, y ejerceré entre vosotros la justicia.
10 Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you in the borders of Israel; and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah.
Al filo de la espada caeréis; en los confines de Israel os juzgaré y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé.
11 This shall not be your cauldron, neither shall ye be the flesh in the midst of it: I will judge you in the borders of Israel;
Esta (ciudad) no será vuestra olla, ni vosotros seréis la carne en medio de ella. En el territorio de Israel voy a juzgaros.
12 and ye shall know that I [am] Jehovah, in whose statutes ye have not walked, neither have done mine ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are round about you.
Y conoceréis que Yo soy Yahvé cuyos preceptos vosotros no habéis observado ni cumplido sus leyes; al contrario, habéis seguido las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean.”
13 And it came to pass, when I prophesied, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. And I fell down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! wilt thou make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
Estaba yo aún vaticinando cuando murió Feltías, hijo de Banaías; y caí sobre mi rostro, y clamé con voz fuerte, diciendo: “¡Ay, Yahvé, Señor! ¿Tú vas a acabar con el resto de Israel?”
14 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
Me fue dirigida la palabra de Yahvé, que dijo:
15 Son of man, [it is] thy brethren, thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, the whole of it, unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem say, Get you far from Jehovah: unto us is this land given for a possession.
“Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, sí, tus hermanos, tus parientes más cercanos, y toda la casa de Israel, estos son aquellos a quienes dicen los habitantes de Jerusalén: «Alejaos de Yahvé; a nosotros nos ha sido dada en posesión esta tierra.»
16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Although I have removed them far off among the nations, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.
Por eso has de anunciar: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Aunque los he llevado lejos, entre las naciones, y aunque los he dispersado por los países, Yo mismo les serviré, por un breve tiempo, de santuario en medio de los territorios adonde se han ido.
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where ye are scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
Vaticina, pues: Así dice Yahvé, el Señor: Yo os reuniré de entre los pueblos, y os recogeré de entre los países en los cuales habéis sido dispersados, y os daré la tierra de Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away from thence all its detestable things and all its abominations.
Volverán allá, y quitarán de ella todos sus ídolos y todas sus abominaciones.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh;
Yo les daré un mismo sentir, y pondré en sus corazones un nuevo espíritu; quitaré el corazón de piedra de en medio de su carne y les daré un corazón de carne;
20 that they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
para que observen mis preceptos, y guarden mis leyes y las practiquen; y serán ellos mi pueblo, y Yo seré su Dios.
21 But as for them whose heart walketh well-pleased with their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.
Pero a aquellos, cuyo corazón sigue los deseos de sus ídolos y abominaciones, les echaré sus obras sobre su cabeza, dice Yahvé, el Señor
22 And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Entonces los Querubines alzaron sus alas y los siguieron las ruedas; y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima de ellos.
23 And the glory of Jehovah went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
La gloria de Yahvé se elevó (retirándose) de la ciudad, y se paró sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.
24 And the Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity; and the vision that I had seen went up from me.
Luego me alzó el Espíritu y me llevó en visión, en espíritu de Dios, a Caldea donde estaban los cautivos. Y desapareció de mí la visión que había tenido.
25 And I spoke unto them of the captivity all the things that Jehovah had shewn me.
Después dije a los cautivos todo lo que Yahvé me había manifestado.
