Psalms 118

1 Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്‌വിൻ, അവിടന്ന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 Let Israel now say: For he is good, for his mercy is forever.

ഇസ്രായേല്യർ പറയട്ടെ: “അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.”

3 Let the house of Aaron now say: For his mercy is forever.

അഹരോൻഗൃഹം പറയട്ടെ: “അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.”

4 Let those who fear the Lord now say: For his mercy is forever.

യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവർ പറയട്ടെ: “അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.”

5 In my tribulation, I called upon the Lord. And the Lord heeded me with generosity.

എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ഞാൻ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു; അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളി, എന്നെ വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.

യഹോവ എന്റെ പക്ഷത്തുണ്ട്, ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല. വെറും മർത്യന് എന്നോട് എന്തുചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയും?

7 The Lord is my helper. And I will look down upon my enemies.

യഹോവ എന്റെ പക്ഷത്തുണ്ട്, അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ സഹായകനാണ്. ഞാൻ വിജയംനേടി എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ കാണും.

8 It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in man.

മനുഷ്യരിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ യഹോവയിൽ അഭയം തേടുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്.

9 It is good to hope in the Lord, rather than to hope in leaders.

പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ യഹോവയിൽ അഭയം തേടുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്.

10 All the nations have surrounded me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

സകലരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളും എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു, എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

11 Surrounding me, they closed in on me. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

അവർ എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു; അതേ അവർ എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു, എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

12 They surrounded me like a swarm, and they burned like fire among the thorns. And, in the name of the Lord, I have been avenged over them.

തേനീച്ചപോലെ എനിക്കുചുറ്റുമവർ ഇരച്ചുകയറി, എന്നാൽ മുൾത്തീപോലെ വേഗത്തിൽ അവർ എരിഞ്ഞമർന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

13 Having been pushed, I was overturned so as to fall. But the Lord took me up.

ഞാൻ വീഴാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ എന്നെ തള്ളി, എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എന്നെ സഹായിച്ചു.

14 The Lord is my strength and my praise. And he has become my salvation.

യഹോവ എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ ഗീതവും ആകുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ രക്ഷയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

15 A voice of exultation and salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.

നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെയും വിജയത്തിന്റെയും ഘോഷം ഉയരുന്നു: “യഹോവയുടെ വലങ്കൈ വൻകാര്യങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!

16 The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue. The right hand of the Lord has exalted me. The right hand of the Lord has wrought virtue.

യഹോവയുടെ വലങ്കൈ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വലങ്കൈ വൻകാര്യങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!”

17 I will not die, but I will live. And I will declare the works of the Lord.

ഞാൻ മരിക്കുകയില്ല, എന്നാൽ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന്, യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ വർണിക്കും.

18 When chastising, the Lord chastised me. But he has not delivered me over to death.

യഹോവ എന്നെ തിരുത്തുന്നതിന് കഠിനമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു, എങ്കിലും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ മരണത്തിന് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തില്ല.

19 Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord.

നീതിയുടെ കവാടങ്ങൾ എനിക്കായി തുറന്നു തരിക; ഞാൻ അവയിലൂടെ പ്രവേശിച്ച് യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രമർപ്പിക്കും.

20 This is the gate of the Lord. The just will enter by it.

യഹോവയുടെ കവാടം ഇതാകുന്നു നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ അതിൽക്കൂടെ പ്രവേശിക്കും.

21 I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation.

അവിടന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളിയതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യും; അങ്ങ് എന്റെ രക്ഷയായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22 The stone which the builders have rejected, this has become the head of the corner.

ശില്പികൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച ആ കല്ലുതന്നെ മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു;

23 By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes.

ഇത് യഹോവ ചെയ്തു; നമ്മുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ആശ്ചര്യകരവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

24 This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us exult and rejoice in it.

ഇന്ന് യഹോവ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദിവസം; ഇന്ന് നമുക്ക് ആനന്ദിച്ച് ഉല്ലസിക്കാം.

25 O Lord, grant salvation to me. O Lord, grant good prosperity.

യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ! യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വിജയം നൽകണമേ!

26 Blessed is he who arrives in the name of the Lord. We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ വരുന്നവൻ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

27 The Lord is God, and he has enlightened us. Establish a solemn day amid a dense crowd, even to the horn of the altar.

യഹോവ ആകുന്നു ദൈവം, അവിടന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രകാശം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു. യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളിൽ യാഗമൃഗത്തെ ബന്ധിക്കുക.

28 You are my God, and I will confess to you. You are my God, and I will exalt you. I will confess to you, for you have heeded me. And you have become my salvation.

അവിടന്ന് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ ദൈവം, അങ്ങയെ ഞാൻ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ ദൈവം, അങ്ങയെ ഞാൻ പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

29 Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever.

യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്‌വിൻ, അവിടന്ന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
