< Isaiah 26 >

1 In that day, this canticle will be sung in the land of Judah. Within it will be set the city of our strength: Zion, a savior, a wall with a bulwark.
To na niah loe Judah prae ah hae laa hae sah o tih; kacak vangpui to a tawnh o; Sithaw mah tapang hoi kacak sipae hoiah loihhaih to na sah pae tih.
2 Open the gates, and let the just people who guard the truth enter.
Khongkha to paong oh, loktang ah khosah kami hoi katoeng kaminawk to akun o nasoe;
3 The old error has gone away. You will serve peace: peace, for we have hoped in you.
poektoeng kami loe nang to oep pongah, kakoep monghaih to na paek tih.
4 You have trusted in the Lord for all eternity, in the Lord God almighty forever.
Angraeng JEHOVAH loe dungzan abuephaih ah oh pongah, Angraeng loe dungzan khoek to oepthoh.
5 For he will bend down those living in the heights. He will bring low the lofty city. He will lower it, even to the ground. He will tear it down, even to the dust.
Anih mah hmuensang ah kaom kaminawk to pakhrak tathuk moe, kasang vangpuinawk doeh pahnaem tathuk; long ah kraksak moe, maiphu thungah a vah.
6 The foot will tread it down: the feet of the poor, the steps of the indigent.
To vangpui ah kamtang kami hoi kavawt kaminawk ih khok tangkannawk to khok hoiah cawh pae o tih.
7 The path of the just is upright; the difficult path of the just is right to walk in.
Katoeng kami loe loklam katoeng ah caeh; Aw Katoeng koek, nang loe, katoeng kami ih loklam to na sak pae.
8 And in the path of your judgments, O Lord, we have endured for you. Your name and your remembrance are the desire of the soul.
Ue, na toenghaih loklam, Aw Angraenhg nang to kang zing o; ka hing o haih mah na hmin ka panoek o poe thai hanah, koehhaih ka tawnh o.
9 My soul has desired you in the night. But I will also watch for you with my spirit, in my inmost heart, from the morning. When you accomplish your judgments upon the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn justice.
Ka hinghaih mah khoving ah nang to poek, ue, kai thung ih pakhra mah khawnthaw ah nang to pakrong tih; long ah na lokcaekhaih phak naah, long nuiah kaom kaminawk mah na toenghaih to amtuk o tih.
10 Let us take pity on the impious one, but he will not learn justice. In the land of the holy ones, he has done iniquity, and so he will not see the glory of the Lord.
Kasae kami khaeah tahmenhaih to nam tuengsak, toe toenghaih to amtuk mak ai; anih loe toenghaih prae ah mataeng doeh kahoih ai hmuen to sak toengtoeng vop moe, Angraeng lensawkhaih to tiah doeh sah ai.
11 Lord, let your hand be exalted, and let them not see it. May the envious people see and be confounded. And may fire devour your enemies.
Aw Angraeng, na ban payangh tahang naah, nihcae mah hnu o mak ai; toe nangmah ih kaminawk na khetzawnhaih nam tuengsak naah, nihcae loe azat o tih; ue, na misanawk ih hmai mah nihcae to kang tih.
12 Lord, you will give us peace. For all our works have been wrought for us by you.
Angraeng, monghaih to kaicae hanah nang paek tih; kaicae ih hmuennawk boih nang sak pae boeh.
13 O Lord our God, other lords have possessed us apart from you, but in you alone let us remember your name.
Aw Angraeng kaicae ih Sithaw, nang mah khue ai, kalah angraengnawk mah doeh kaicae hae ang uk o boeh; toe nang ih ahmin khue ni ka saphaw o han.
14 Let not the dead live; let not the giants rise up again. For this reason, you have visited and destroyed them, and you have perished all remembrance of them.
Nihcae loe duek o boeh moe, hing o mak ai boeh; kadueh pakhranawk loe angthawk o let mak ai boeh; nihcae to na thuitaek moe, nam rosak; nihcae panoekhaih to nang hmatsak boeh.
15 You have been lenient to the people, O Lord, lenient to the people. But have you been glorified? You have removed all the limits of the earth.
Aw Angraeng, acaeng to na pungsak moe, prae doeh na kawksak boeh; nang loe lensawkhaih hoiah na oh boeh; prae angzithaih ramrinawk boih doeh na kawksak boeh.
16 Lord, they have sought you in anguish. Your doctrine was with them, amid the tribulation of murmuring.
Angraeng, raihaih hoiah nang khaeah angzoh o; nihcae to na thuitaek naah, lawkthuihaih hoi nang khaeah ang zoh o.
17 Like a woman who has conceived and is approaching the time for delivery, who, in anguish, cries out in her pains, so have we become before your face, O Lord.
Aw Angraeng, kaicae loe zokpomh nongpata mah, nawkta tapen tom nathuem ih kana aham baktiah ni na hmaa ah ka oh o boeh.
18 We have conceived, and it is as if we were in labor, but we have given birth to wind. We have not brought forth salvation on the earth. For this reason, the inhabitants of the earth have not fallen.
Zok ka pomh o moe, nat loiah ka hangh o, toe tidoeh om ai takhi ni ka tapen o lat; long kaminawk mah loihhaih to hnu o ai; long nuiah kaom kaminawk pazawkhaih doeh om ai.
19 Your dead shall live. My slain will rise again. Be awakened, and give praise, you who live in the dust! For your dew is the dew of the light, and you shall be dragged down to the land of the giants, to ruination.
Toe nang ih kadueh kaminawk loe hing o tih; nihcae loe kadueh ka takpum hoiah nawnto angthawk o tih. Nangcae maiphu thungah kaom kaminawk, Angthawk oh loe, laa to sah oh; nangcae ih dantui loe khawnthaw ah kaom phroh nui ih dantui baktiah oh, long mah kadueh kaminawk to va tih.
20 Go, my people! Enter your chambers. Close your doors behind you. Conceal yourselves for a very brief time, until the indignation has passed over you.
Kai ih kaminawk, angzo oh, imthung ah akun oh, nangcae hnukah kaom thoknawk to khaa oh; palungphuihaih boeng ai karoek to nawnetta thungah anghawk oh.
21 For behold, the Lord will go forth from his place, so that he may visit the iniquity of each inhabitant of the earth against him. And the earth will reveal its blood, and it will no longer cover its slain.
Khenah, angmacae zaehaih pongah long kaminawk to thuitaek hanah, Angraeng loe angmah ohhaih ahmuen hoiah angzoh boeh; to naah long mah anih nuiah kaom athii longhaih to amtuengsak tih, anih mah hum ih kaminawk doeh hawk mak ai boeh.
