Proverbs 1
1 The Proverbs of Solomon son of David, who reigned in Israel;
Os provérbios de Salomão, o filho de David, rei de Israel:
2 to know wisdom and instruction, and to perceive words of understanding;
para conhecer a sabedoria e a instrução; para discernir as palavras de compreensão;
3 to receive also hard saying, and to understand true justice, and [how] to direct judgement;
para receber instruções em negociações sensatas, em retidão, justiça e eqüidade;
4 that he might give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man discernment and understanding.
para dar prudência ao simples, conhecimento e discrição para o jovem...
5 For by the hearing of these a wise man will be wiser, and man of understanding will gain direction;
que o homem sábio possa ouvir, e aumentar a aprendizagem; que o homem de entendimento pode chegar a um bom conselho;
6 and will understand a parable, and a dark speech; the saying of the wise also, and riddles.
para entender um provérbio e parábolas, as palavras e enigmas dos sábios.
7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and [there is] good understanding to all that practise it: and piety towards God is the beginning of discernment; but the ungodly will set at nothing wisdom and instruction.
O medo de Yahweh é o início do conhecimento, mas os tolos desprezam a sabedoria e a instrução.
8 Hear, [my] son, the instruction of your father, and reject not the rules of your mother.
Meu filho, ouça as instruções do seu pai, e não abandone os ensinamentos de sua mãe;
9 For you shall receive for your head a crown of graces, and a chain of gold round your neck.
pois eles serão uma grinalda para agraciar sua cabeça, e correntes ao redor de seu pescoço.
10 [My] son, let not ungodly men lead you astray, neither consent you [to them].
Meu filho, se os pecadores o seduzem, não consinta.
11 If they should exhort you, saying, Come with us, partake in blood, and let us unjustly hide the just man in the earth:
Se eles disserem: “Venha conosco”. Vamos ficar deitados à espera de sangue. Vamos esconder-nos secretamente para os inocentes sem causa.
12 and let us swallow him alive, as Hades [would], and remove the memorial of him from the earth: (Sheol h7585)
Let's os engoliu vivos como o Sheol, e inteiro, como aqueles que vão para o poço. (Sheol h7585)
13 let us seize on his valuable property, and let us fill our houses with spoils:
We'll encontrar toda a riqueza valiosa. Vamos encher nossas casas de pilhagem.
14 but do you cast in your lot with us, and let us all provide a common purse, and let us have one pouch:
Você lançará sua sorte entre nós. Todos teremos uma bolsa” -
15 go not in the way with them, but turn aside your foot from their paths:
meu filho, não ande no caminho com eles. Mantenha seu pé longe do caminho deles,
16 [For their feet run to do evil, and are swift to shed blood. ]
para que seus pés corram para o mal. Eles se apressam a derramar sangue.
17 for nets are not without cause spread for birds.
Pois a rede é espalhada em vão à vista de qualquer ave;
18 For they that are concerned in murder store up evils for themselves; and the overthrow of transgressors is evil.
mas estes aguardam o seu próprio sangue. Eles se escondem secretamente para suas próprias vidas.
19 These are the ways of all that perform lawless deeds; for by ungodliness they destroy their own life.
Assim são os caminhos de todos os que são gananciosos por lucro. Ela tira a vida de seus proprietários.
20 Wisdom sings aloud in passages, and in the broad places speaks boldly.
A sabedoria chama em voz alta na rua. Ela pronuncia sua voz nas praças públicas.
21 And she makes proclamation on the top of the walls, and sits by the gates of princes; and at the gates of the city boldly says,
Ela telefona à frente de lugares barulhentos. Na entrada dos portões da cidade, ela pronuncia suas palavras:
22 So long as the simple cleave to justice, they shall not be ashamed: but the foolish being lovers of haughtiness, having become ungodly have hated knowledge, and are become subject to reproofs.
“Por quanto tempo, seus simples, vocês vão adorar a simplicidade? Por quanto tempo os zombadores se deleitarão em zombaria, e os tolos odeiam o conhecimento?
23 Behold, I will bring forth to you the utterance of my breath, and I will instruct you in my speech.
Vire-se à minha repreensão. Eis que derramarei meu espírito sobre vocês. Darei a conhecer minhas palavras a vocês.
24 Since I called, and you did not listen; and I spoke at length, and you gave no heed;
Porque eu liguei, e você recusou; Estiquei minha mão e ninguém prestou atenção;
25 but you set at nothing my counsels, and disregarded my reproofs;
mas vocês ignoraram todos os meus conselhos, e não queria nenhuma das minhas repreensões;
26 therefore I also will laugh at your destruction; and I will rejoice against [you] when ruin comes upon you:
Eu também vou rir do seu desastre. Eu zombarei quando a calamidade o ultrapassar,
27 yes when dismay suddenly comes upon you, and [your] overthrow shall arrive like a tempest; and when tribulation and distress shall come upon you, or when ruin shall come upon you.
quando a calamidade o ultrapassa como uma tempestade, quando seu desastre se apresenta como um redemoinho, quando a angústia e a angústia vêm sobre você.
28 For it shall be that when you call upon me, I will not listen to you: wicked men shall seek me, but shall not find [me].

29 For they hated wisdom, and did not choose the word of the Lord:
porque odiavam o conhecimento, e não escolheu o medo de Yahweh.
30 neither would they attend to my counsels, but derided my reproofs.
Eles não queriam nenhum dos meus conselhos. Eles desprezaram toda a minha reprovação.
31 Therefore shall they eat the fruits of their own way, and shall be filled with their own ungodliness.
Portanto, eles comerão do fruto de seu próprio jeito, e serem preenchidos com seus próprios esquemas.
32 For because they wronged the simple, they shall be slain; and an inquisition shall ruin the ungodly.
Pois o recuo do simples os matará. A facilidade descuidada dos tolos vai destruí-los.
33 But he that hearkens to me shall dwell in confidence, and shall rest securely from all evil.
Mas quem me ouve, vai morar em segurança, e estará à vontade, sem medo de prejudicar”.
