Jezekiel 30

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Naʻe toe hoko foki ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,

2 Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord; Woe, woe [worth] the day!

“Foha ʻoe tangata, kikite, pea ke pehē, ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; Tangi kalanga, ʻOiauē, ʻoiauē ʻae ʻaho!

3 For the day of the Lord is near, a day of cloud; it shall be the end of the nations.

He kuo ofi mai ʻae ʻaho, ʻio, kuo ofi ʻae ʻaho ʻo Sihova, ko e ʻaho fakapoʻupoʻuli ko e kuonga ia ki he hiteni.

4 And the sword shall come upon the Egyptians, and there shall be tumult in Ethiopia, and in Egypt [men] shall fall down slain together, and her foundations shall fall.

‌ʻE hoko mai ʻae heletā ki ʻIsipite, pea ʻe ai ʻae mamahi lahi ʻi ʻItiopea, ʻoka tō hifo ʻae kakai mate ʻi ʻIsipite, pea te nau ʻave hono kakai tokolahi, pea ʻe maumauʻi ʻa hono ngaahi tuʻunga.

5 Persians, and Cretans, and Lydians, and Libyans, and all the mixed multitude, and they of the children of my covenant, shall fall by the sword therein.

“Pea ʻe hinga fakataha mo kinautolu ʻi he heletā ʻa ʻItiopea, mo Lipea, mo Litea, pea mo e kakai muli kehekehe, mo Kupa, mo e kakai ʻoe fonua ʻoku nau kau taha.”

6 And the supports of Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her strength shall come down from Magdol to Syene: they shall fall by the sword in it, says the Lord.

‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova; “ʻE hinga foki ʻakinautolu ʻoku tokoni ki ʻIsipite; pea ʻe fakatōkilalo ʻae fielahi ʻo ʻene mālohi: te nau tō ʻi he heletā ʻi ai ʻo fai mai mei he fale leʻo māʻolunga ʻo Saiini, ʻoku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua.

7 And it shall be made desolate in the midst of desolate countries, and their cities shall be [desolate] in the midst of desolate cities:

Pea te nau lala, ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe ngaahi fonua ʻoku lala, pea ko hono ngaahi kolo ʻe ʻi he lotolotonga ia ʻoe ngaahi kolo kuo fakaʻauha.

8 and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall send fire upon Egypt, and [when] all that help her shall be broken.

Pea te nau ʻilo ko au ko Sihova, ʻo kau ka tutu ʻae afi ʻi ʻIsipite, pea ʻoka fakaʻauha ʻa hono kau tokoni kotoa pē.

9 In that day shall messengers go forth hasting to destroy Ethiopia utterly, and there shall be tumult amongst them in the day of Egypt: for, behold it comes.

‌ʻI he ʻaho ko ia te u fekau atu meiate au ʻae ngaahi vaka ke fakamanavahēʻi ʻae kau ʻItiopea ʻoku fakafiemālie, pea ʻe hoko ʻae mamahi lahi kiate kinautolu, ʻo tatau mo ia ʻi he ʻaho ʻo ʻIsipite: he vakai, ʻoku haʻu ia.”

10 Thus says the Lord God; I will also destroy the multitude of the Egyptians by the hand of Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon,

‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Te u fakaʻosi ʻa hono tokolahi ʻo ʻIsipite ʻe he nima ʻo Nepukanesa ko e tuʻi ʻo Papilone.

11 his [hand] and his people's; [they are] plagues sent forth from the nations to destroy the land: and they all shall unsheath their swords against Egypt, and the land shall be filled with slain.

‌ʻE ʻomi ia, pea mo ʻene kakai mo ia, ʻae kau toʻa ʻoe ngaahi puleʻanga, ke nau fakaʻauha ʻae fonua: pea te nau toho ʻenau heletā ki ʻIsipite, pea ʻe fonu ʻae fonua ʻi he kakai mate tāmateʻi.

12 And I will make their rivers desolate, and will destroy the land and the fulness of it by the hands of strangers: I the Lord have spoken.

Pea te u fakamōmoa ʻae ngaahi vai, pea te u fakatau atu ʻae fonua ki he nima ʻoe angakovi: pea te u ngaohi ke lala, ʻae fonua, mo e meʻa kotoa pē ʻoku ʻi ai, ʻi he nima ʻoe kau muli: ko au Sihova, kuo u lea ki ai.”

13 For thus says the Lord God; I will also destroy the nobles from Memphis, and the princes of Memphis out of the land of Egypt; and they shall be no more.

‌ʻOku pehē ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua; “Te u fakaʻauha foki ʻae ngaahi tamapua, pea te u fakaʻosi meia Nofe ʻae ngaahi fakatātā; pea ʻe ʻikai toe ai ha tuʻi ʻoe fonua ko ʻIsipite: pea te u ʻai ha manavahē ki he fonua ko ʻIsipite.

14 And I will destroy the land of Phathore, and will send fire upon Tanis, and will execute vengeance on Diospolis.

Pea te u ngaohi ke lala ʻa Patalosi, pea te u fakatupu ʻae afi ʻi Soani, pea te u fai ʻae tautea ʻi Nō.

15 And I will pour out my wrath upon Sais the strength of Egypt, and will destroy the multitude of Memphis.

Pea te u lilingi hoku houhau ki Pelusiumi ko e mālohi ʻo ʻIsipite; pea te u motuhi ʻae tokolahi ʻi Nō.

16 And I will send fire upon Egypt; and Syene shall be sorely troubled; and there shall be a breaking in Diospolis, and waters shall be poured out.

Pea te u tuku ʻae afi ʻi ʻIsipite: ʻe mamahi lahi ʻa Pelusiumi, pea ʻe hae ua ʻa No, pea ʻe mamahiʻia ʻa Nofe ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē.

17 The youths of Heliopolis and Bubastum shall fall by the sword, and the women shall go into captivity.

‌ʻE tō hifo ʻi he heletā ʻae kau talavou ʻo ʻAveni, pea mo Pupasite: pea ʻe ʻalu ʻae ongo kolo ko ia ki he pōpula.

18 And the day shall be darkened in Taphnae, when I have broken there the sceptres of Egypt: and the pride of her strength shall perish there: and a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall be taken prisoners.

‌ʻE fakapoʻuliʻi foki ʻae ʻaho ʻi Tafanisi, ʻo kau ka maumauʻi ʻi ai ʻae haʻamonga ʻo ʻIsipite: pea ʻe ngata meiate ia ʻae fielahi ʻo ʻene mālohi: pea koeʻuhi ko ia ʻe ʻufiʻufi ia ʻaki ʻae ʻao, pea ʻe ʻalu ki he pōpula ʻa ʻene fānau fefine.

19 And I will execute judgement on Egypt; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

‌ʻE pehē pe ʻa ʻeku fai ʻae fakamalaʻia ki ʻIsipite: pea te nau ʻilo ko Sihova au.”

20 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh [day] of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

Pea ʻi heʻene hoko ki hono hongofulu ma taha ʻoe taʻu, ʻi he ʻuluaki māhina, pea mo hono fitu ʻoe ʻaho ʻi he māhina, naʻe hoko mai ʻae folofola ʻa Sihova kiate au, ʻo pehē,

21 Son of man, I have broken the arms of Pharao, king of Egypt; and, behold, it has not been bound up to be healed, to have a plaster put upon it, [or] to be strengthened to lay hold of the sword.

“Foha ʻoe tangata, kuo u fesiʻi ʻae nima ʻo Felo ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsipite; pea vakai, ʻe ʻikai nonoʻo ia ke fakamoʻui, pea ʻe ʻikai lafosi ia ke toe mālohi ke puke ha heletā.

22 Therefore thus says the Lord God; Behold, I am against Pharao king of Egypt, and I will break his strong and outstretched arms, and will strike down his sword out of his hand.

23 And I will disperse the Egyptians amongst the nations, and will utterly scatter them amongst the countries.

Pea te u fakamovete ʻae kakai ʻIsipite ki he ngaahi puleʻanga, pea te u fakahēʻi ʻakinautolu ki he ngaahi fonua.

24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword into his hand: and he shall bring it upon Egypt, and shall take her plunder and seize her spoils.

Pea te u fakamālohi ʻae nima ʻoe tuʻi ʻo Papilone, pea te u ʻai ʻeku heletā ki hono nima: ka te u fesiʻi ʻae nima ʻo Felo, pea te ne toʻe ʻi hono ʻao ʻo hangē ko e toʻe ʻo ha tangata kuo lavea ke mate.

25 Yes, I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharao shall fail: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out over the land of Egypt.

26 And I will disperse the Egyptians amongst the nations, and utterly scatter them amongst the countries; and they all shall know that I am the Lord.
