Exodus 3

1 And Moses was feeding the flock of Jothor his father-in-law, the priest of Madiam; and he brought the sheep near to the wilderness, and came to the mount of Choreb.

൧മോശെ മിദ്യാനിലെ പുരോഹിതനും തന്റെ അമ്മായപ്പനുമായ യിത്രോവിന്റെ ആടുകളെ മേയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; അവൻ ആടുകളെ മരുഭൂമിക്ക് അപ്പുറത്ത് കൊണ്ട് ചെന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പർവ്വതമായ ഹോരേബ് വരെ എത്തി.

2 And an angel of the Lord appeared to him in flaming fire out of the bush, and he sees that the bush burns with fire, —but the bush was not consumed.

൨അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ ഒരു മുൾപടർപ്പിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് അഗ്നിജ്വാലയിൽ അവന് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി. അവൻ നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ മുൾപടർപ്പ് തീ പിടിച്ചു കത്തുന്നതും മുൾപടർപ്പ് എരിഞ്ഞുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.

3 And Moses said, I will go near and see this great sight, why the bush is not consumed.

൩“മുൾപടർപ്പ് എരിഞ്ഞുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വലിയ കാഴ്ച എന്താണ് എന്ന് ഞാൻ ചെന്ന് നോക്കട്ടെ” എന്ന് മോശെ പറഞ്ഞു.

4 And when the Lord saw that he drew near to see, the Lord called him out of the bush, saying, Moses, Moses; and he said, What is it?

൪അത് നോക്കേണ്ടതിന് മോശെ വരുന്നത് യഹോവ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ദൈവം മുൾപടർപ്പിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന്, അവനെ “മോശെ, മോശെ” എന്ന് വിളിച്ചു. അതിന് അവൻ: “ഇതാ, ഞാൻ” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

5 And he said, Draw not near hither: loose your sandals from off your feet, for the place whereon you stand is holy ground.

൫അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: “ഇങ്ങോട്ടടുത്ത് വരരുത്; നീ നില്ക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം വിശുദ്ധഭൂമിയാകയാൽ കാലിൽനിന്ന് ചെരിപ്പ് അഴിച്ചുകളയുക” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു.

6 And he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraam, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and Moses turned away his face, for he was afraid to gaze at God.

൬“ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായി, നിന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു” എന്നും അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു. മോശെ ദൈവത്തെ നോക്കുവാൻ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് മുഖം മൂടി.

7 And the Lord said to Moses, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and I have heard their cry [caused] by their taskmasters; for I know their affliction.

൭യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ താമസിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ കഷ്ടത ഞാൻ കണ്ടു; ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാർ നിമിത്തമുള്ള അവരുടെ നിലവിളിയും കേട്ടു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ സങ്കടങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.

8 And I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them out of that land, and to bring them into a good and wide land, into a land flowing with milk and honey, into the place of the Chananites, and the Chettites, and Amorites, and Pherezites, and Gergesites, and Evites, and Jebusites.

൮അവരെ ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുവാനും ആ ദേശത്ത് നിന്ന് നല്ലതും വിശാലവുമായ ദേശത്തേക്ക്, പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്ക്, കനാന്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, അമോര്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് അവരെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാനും ഞാൻ ഇറങ്ങിവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

9 And now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come to me, and I have seen the affliction with which the Egyptians afflict them.

൯യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ നിലവിളി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർ അവരെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കവും ഞാൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10 And now come, I will send you to Pharao king of Egypt, and you shall bring out my people the children of Israel from the land of Egypt.

൧൦ആകയാൽ വരുക; നീ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയയ്ക്കും”.

11 And Moses said to God, Who am I, that I should go to Pharao king of Egypt, and that I should bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt?

൧൧മോശെ ദൈവത്തോട്: “ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുവാനും യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കുവാനും ഞാൻ ആര്?” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു.

12 And God spoke to Moses, saying, I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that I shall send you forth, —when you bring out my people out of Egypt, then you shall serve God in this mountain.

൧൨അതിന് അവൻ: “ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നീ ജനത്തെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്ന് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് വരുമ്പോൾ, നിങ്ങൾ ഈ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുമെന്നുള്ളത് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അയച്ചതിന് അടയാളം ആകും” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

13 And Moses said to God, Behold, I shall go forth to the children of Israel, and shall say to them, The God of our fathers has sent me to you; and they will ask me, What is his name? What shall I say to them?

൧൩മോശെ ദൈവത്തോട്: “ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന്: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു’ എന്ന് പറയുമ്പോൾ: ‘അവന്റെ നാമം എന്തെന്ന്’ അവർ എന്നോട് ചോദിച്ചാൽ ഞാൻ അവരോട് എന്ത് പറയണം” എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു.

14 And God spoke to Moses, saying, I am THE BEING; and he said, Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, THE BEING has sent me to you.

൧൪അതിന് ദൈവം മോശെയോട്: “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നവൻ ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നുള്ളവൻ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ നീ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളോട് പറയണം” എന്ന് കല്പിച്ചു.

15 And God said again to Moses, Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, The Lord God of our fathers, the God of Abraam, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, has sent me to you: this is my name for ever, and my memorial to generations of generations.

൧൫ദൈവം പിന്നെയും മോശെയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാൽ: “നീ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയണം: അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവുമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇത് എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ നാമവും, തലമുറതലമുറയായി ഞാൻ ഈ പേരിൽ ഓർമ്മിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും”.

16 Go then and gather the elders of the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, The Lord God of our fathers has appeared to me, the God of Abraam, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, saying, I have surely looked upon you, and upon all the things which have happened to you in Egypt.

൧൬നീ ചെന്ന് യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരെ കൂട്ടി അവരോട്: “അബ്രാഹാമിന്‍റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായി, നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എനിക്ക് പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി കല്പിച്ചത്: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കുകയും ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ അവർ നിങ്ങളോട് ചെയ്യുന്നത് കാണുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

17 And he said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of the Egyptians to the land of the Chananites and the Chettites, and Amorites and Pherezites, and Gergesites, and Evites, and Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.

൧൭ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ കഷ്ടതയിൽനിന്ന് കനാന്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, അമോര്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്ക് പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്ക് നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവാൻ ഞാൻ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് പറയുക.

18 And they shall listen to your voice, and you and the elders of Israel shall go in to Pharao king of Egypt, and you shall say to him, The God of the Hebrews has called us; we will go then a journey of three days into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to our God.

൧൮എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാർ നിന്റെ വാക്ക് കേൾക്കും. അപ്പോൾ നീയും യിസ്രായേൽ മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്ന് അവനോട്: “എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്ന് ദിവസത്തെ വഴി മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ചെന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്ന് പറയുവിൻ.

19 But I know that Pharao king of Egypt will not let you go, save with a mighty hand;

൧൯എന്നാൽ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ രാജാവ് ഭുജബലംകൊണ്ടല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങളെ പോകുവാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുകയില്ല എന്ന് ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

20 and I will stretch out my hand, and strike the Egyptians with all my wonders, which I shall work amongst them, and after that he will send you forth.

൨൦അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി ഈജിപ്റ്റിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ചെയ്യുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കും; അതിന്‍റെശേഷം ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ രാജാവ് നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയയ്ക്കും.

21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, and whenever you shall escape, you shall not depart empty.

൨൧ഞാൻ ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാർക്ക് ഈ ജനത്തോട് ദയ തോന്നുമാറാക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ പോരുമ്പോൾ വെറുങ്കയ്യായി പോകേണ്ടിവരുകയില്ല.

22 But [every] woman shall ask of her neighbour and fellow lodger, articles of gold and silver, and apparel; and you shall put them upon your sons and upon your daughters, —and spoil you the Egyptians.

൨൨ഓരോ സ്ത്രീയും തന്റെ അയൽക്കാരത്തിയോടും വീട്ടിൽ അതിഥിയായി പാർക്കുന്നവളോടും, വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ചോദിച്ചുവാങ്ങി നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ധരിപ്പിക്കുകയും ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരെ കൊള്ളയിടുകയും വേണം”.
