< Genesis 49 >
1 And Jacob called his sons, and said to them,
Ary Jakoba namory ny zananilahy ka nanao hoe: Mivoria ianareo, mba hanambarako aminareo izay ho tonga aminareo any am-parany.
2 Assemble yourselves, that I may tell you what shall happen to you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear me, sons of Jacob; hear Israel, hear your father.
Miangòna, ka mandrenesa, ry zanakalahin’ i Jakoba, eny, mihainoa an’ Isiraely rainareo:
3 Ruben, thou [art] my first-born, thou my strength, and the first of my children, hard to be endured, [hard and] self-willed.
Ry ROBENA, lahimatoako ianao, heriko sy voalohan’ ny tanjako, manan-tombom-pisandratana, manan-tombon-kery.
4 Thou wast insolent like water, burst not forth with violence, for thou wentest up to the bed of thy father; then thou defiledst the couch, whereupon thou wentest up.
Mandroadroatra toy ny rano ianao ka tsy hanan-tombo, fa niakatra tamin’ ny fandrian’ ny rainao ianao, tamin’ izany no nandotoanao azy. Endrey, ny farafarako lahy, ka dia niakarany!
5 Symeon and Levi, brethren, accomplished the injustice of their cutting off.
SIMEONA sy LEVY dia mpirahalahy, fiadia-mandoza ny sabany;
6 Let not my soul come into their counsel, and let not mine inward parts contend in their conspiracy, for in their wrath they slew men, and in their passion they houghed a bull.
Aza mankeo amin’ izay iokoany, ry foko, ary aza miray amin’ ny fiangonany, ry fanahiko; fa tamin’ ny fahatezerany no namonoany olona, ary tamin’ ny fahasahisahiany no nanatraingoany omby.
7 Cursed be their wrath, for it was willful, and their anger, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Ho voaozona anie ny fahatezerany, fa nasiaka izany, ary ny fahavinirany, fa loza izany; hampihahakahaka azy eny amin’ i Jakoba aho, ary hanely azy eny amin’ Isiraely.
8 Juda, thy brethren have praised thee, and thy hands shall be on the back of thine enemies; thy father's sons shall do thee reverence.
Ry JODA, hoderain’ ny rahalahinao ianao, ny tananao ho ao amin’ ny vozon’ ny fahavalonao; hiankohoka eo anatrehanao ny zanaky ny rainao.
9 Juda is a lion's whelp: from the tender plant, my son, thou art gone up, having couched thou liest as a lion, and as a whelp; who shall stir him up?
Zana-diona, Joda, avy niremby ianao, anaka; mamitsaka, mandry toy ny liona izy, ary toy ny liom-bavy, ka iza no hanaitra azy!
10 A ruler shall not fail from Juda, nor a prince from his loins, until there come the things stored up for him; and he is the expectation of nations.
Ny tehim-panjakana tsy hiala amin’ i Joda, na ny tehina fanapahana eo anelanelan’ ny tongony, mandra-pahatongan’ i Silo, ka hanoa Azy ny firenena.
11 Binding his foal to the vine, and the foal of his ass to the branch [of it], he shall wash his robe in wine, and his garment in the blood of the grape.
Mamatotra ny borikiny tanora eo amin’ ny tahom-boaloboka izy. Ary ny zanaky ny borikivaviny eo amin’ ny tahom-boaloboka tsara; nanasa ny fitafiany tamin’ ny divay izy, ary ny akanjony tamin’ ny ram-boaloboka.
12 His eyes shall be more cheering than wine, and his teeth whiter than milk.
Mangamanga ny masony azon’ ny divay ary fotsy ny nifiny azon’ ny ronono.
13 Zabulon shall dwell on the coast, and he [shall be] by a haven of ships, and shall extend to Sidon.
ZEBOLONA, ao amoron-dranomasina no honenany, dia ao amoron-dranomasina fitodian-tsambo; ary ny sisin-taniny hifanolotra amin’ i Sidona.
14 Issachar has desired that which is good; resting between the inheritances.
ISAKARA dia boriky henjana, mandry eo anelanelan’ ny vala;
15 And having seen the resting place that it was good, and the land that it was fertile, he subjected his shoulder to labour, and became a husbandman.
Ary hitany fa tsara ny fialan-tsasatra, sady mahafinaritra ny tany; dia nanongilana ny sorony hitondra entana izy ka tonga mpanompo mandoa hetra.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one tribe too in Israel.
DANA hitsara ny olony tahaka ny anankiray amin’ ny firenen’ ny Isiraely.
17 And let Dan be a serpent in the way, besetting the path, biting the heel of the horse (and the rider shall fall backward),
Dana ho menarana ao amoron-dalana, ho bibilava misy tandroka ao an-dalana izy, izay manaikitra ny kitrokelin’ ny soavaly, ka potraka miantsilany ny mpitaingina azy.
18 waiting for the salvation of the Lord.
Ny famonjenao no andrasako, Jehovah ô!
19 Gad, a plundering troop shall plunder him; but he shall plunder him, [pursuing him] closely.
GADA, ny manao andiany hamoritra azy; fa izy kosa hamely ny otrika.
20 Aser, his bread [shall be] fat; and he shall yield dainties to princes.
ASERA dia avy ao aminy ny matavy fihinany, ary izy no ihavian’ ny hanim-pin’ andriana.
21 Nephthalim is a spreading stem, bestowing beauty on its fruit.
NAFTALY dia dieravavy alefa; manao teny mahafinaritra izy.
22 Joseph is a son increased; my dearly loved son is increased; my youngest son, turn to me.
JOSEFA dia sampana mahavokatra, eny, sampana mahavokatra eo anilan-doharano; ny rantsany mananika mihoatra ny fefy.
23 Against whom men taking evil counsel reproached [him], and the archers pressed hard upon him.
Nampahory azy ny mpitifitra, dia nitifitra azy sy nanenjika azy;
24 But their bow and arrows were mightily consumed, and the sinews of their arms were slackened by the hand of the mighty one of Jacob; thence is he that strengthened Israel from the God of thy father;
Kanefa mateza hery ny tsipìkany, ary mailamailaka ny sandrin-tànany, avy amin’ ny tànan’ Ilay Maherin’ i Jakoba, dia avy ao amin’ ny Mpiandry, Izay Vatolampin’ ny Isiraely,
25 and my God helped thee, and he blessed thee with the blessing of heaven from above, and the blessing of the earth possessing all things, because of the blessing of the breasts and of the womb,
Avy amin’ ny Andriamanitry ny rainao, ka Izy hamonjy anao avy amin’ ny Tsitoha, ka Izy hitahy anao: Dia fitahiana avy amin’ ny lanitra any ambony, sy fitahiana avy amin’ ny lalina, izay mamitsaka any ambany, ary fitahiana avy amin’ ny nono sy ny kibo.
26 the blessings of thy father and thy mother—it has prevailed above the blessing of the lasting mountains, and beyond the blessings of the everlasting hills; they shall be upon the head of Joseph, and upon the head of the brothers of whom he took the lead.
Ny tso-dranon’ ny rainao dia mihoatra noho ny havoana mandrakizay sy ny zavatra mahafinaritra amin’ ny tendrombohitra fahagola; ho eo an-dohan’ i Josefa izany, dia ho eo an-tampon-dohan’ ilay nalaza tamin’ ny rahalahiny.
27 Benjamin, as a ravening wolf, shall eat still in the morning, and at evening he gives food.
BENJAMINA dia amboadia mamiravira: Nony maraina homan-dremby izy, nony hariva mizara babo.
28 All these [are] the twelve sons of Jacob; and their father spoke these words to them, and he blessed them; he blessed each of them according to his blessing.
Ireo rehetra ireo no firenen’ ny Isiraely roa ambin’ ny folo; ary izany no nolazain’ ny rainy taminy sy nitsofany rano azy; samy araka ny tso-drano izay tokony ho azy avy no nitsofany rano azy.
29 And he said to them, I am added to my people; ye shall bury me with my fathers in the cave, which is in the field of Ephron the Chettite,
Dia nanafatra azy izy ka nanao taminy hoe: Izaho efa madiva hangonina ho any amin’ ny razako; aleveno ao amin’ ny razako aho, dia ao anatin’ ny zohy izay any amin’ ny sahan’ i Efrona Hetita,
30 in the double cave which is opposite Mambre, in the land of Chanaan, the cave which Abraam bought of Ephron the Chettite, for a possession of a sepulchre.
ao anatin’ ny zohy izay any amin’ ny saha Makpela, izay tandrifin’ i Mamre, any amin’ ny tany Kanana, dia ilay novidin’ i Abrahama mbamin’ ny saha tamin’ i Efrona Hetita ho tany fandevenana.
31 There they buried Abraam and Sarrha his wife; there they buried Isaac, and Rebecca his wife; there they buried Lea;
Tao no nandevenany an’ i Abrahama sy Saraha vadiny; ary tao koa no nandevenany an’ Isaka sy Rebeka vadiny; ary tao koa no nandevenako an’ i Lea,
32 in the portion of the field, and of the cave that was in it, [purchased] of the sons of Chet.
ny saha sy ny zohy ao anatiny izay novidiny tamin’ ny taranak’ i Heta.
33 And Jacob ceased giving charges to his sons; and having lifted up his feet on the bed, he died, and was gathered to his people.
Ary rehefa vitan’ i Jakoba ny hafatra nataony tamin’ ny zananilahy rehetra, dia navonkiny teo am-parafara ny tongony, dia niala aina izy ka voangona any amin’ ny razany.
