< Habakkuk 2 >

1 I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the ramparts. I will watch to see what He will say to me, and how I should answer when corrected.
Manɔ nye gbetakpɔƒe tame, eye matsi tsitre ɖe nye xɔta; mada ŋku ɖi akpɔ nu si wòagblɔ atsɔ aɖo nye biabia ŋui.
2 Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a herald may run with it.
Yehowa ɖo eŋu nam be: “Ŋlɔ ɖeɖefia la da ɖi. Ŋlɔe ɖe nuŋlɔkpe dzi eme nakɔ ale be woate ŋu axlẽe bɔbɔe.
3 For the vision awaits an appointed time; it testifies of the end and does not lie. Though it lingers, wait for it, since it will surely come and will not delay.
Elabena azãgbe li na ɖeɖefia la elabena eƒo nu tso nuwuwu si le vava ge la ŋuti eye mada le edzi o; ke ne ehe ɖe megbe hã la, lalae elabena ava eme godoo, mada le edzi o.
4 Look at the proud one; his soul is not upright — but the righteous will live by faith —
“Nye kɔ nàkpɔ dadala la ɖa; nu dzɔdzɔe wɔwɔ aɖeke mele eya amea me o; ke ame dzɔdzɔe anɔ agbe to eƒe xɔse me.
5 and wealth indeed betrays him. He is an arrogant man never at rest. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, and like Death, he is never satisfied. He gathers all the nations to himself and collects all the peoples as his own. (Sheol h7585)
Gawu la, wain ɖe hae, edoa eɖokui ɖe dzi eye medzea kɔ anyi o. Elabena ele abe yɔdo si nu meɖia kɔ na o ene eye wògale abe ku si nu meɖia ƒo na o ene. Eƒo dukɔwo katã nu ƒu na eɖokui eye wòdo kluvi amewo katã. (Sheol h7585)
6 Will not all of these take up a taunt against him, speaking with mockery and derision: ‘Woe to him who amasses what is not his and makes himself rich with many loans! How long will this go on?’
“Ɖe amewo katã maɖia wo nu, aɖe alɔme le wo ŋu, ako wo ahagblɔ be: “‘Baba na ame si li kɔ nu siwo wofi ɖi eye wòwɔ eɖokui kesinɔtɔe to amebaba me. Ɣe ka ɣie nu siawo ayi edzi ase ɖo?’
7 Will not your creditors suddenly arise and those who disturb you awaken? Then you will become their prey.
Ɖe wò fetɔwo matso ɖe ŋuwò kpata, ɖe womanyɔ ado ŋɔdzi na wò oa? Ekema àva zu woƒe nuhaha.
8 Because you have plundered many nations, the remnant of the people will plunder you— because of your bloodshed against man and your violence against the land, the city, and all their dwellers.
Esi mieha dukɔ geɖewo ta la ame siwo susɔ la aha miawo hã elabena miekɔ ʋu ɖi eye mietstrɔ̃ anyigbawo, duwo kple ame siwo le wo me.
9 Woe to him who builds his house by unjust gain, to place his nest on high and escape the hand of disaster!
“Baba na ame si tu sã to amebaba me, ne yeawɔ nɔƒe ɖe dziƒo ke be yeasi le gbegblẽ nu.
10 You have plotted shame for your house by cutting off many peoples and forfeiting your life.
Ame geɖewo ƒe tsɔtsrɔ̃ tso mia gbɔ eya ta miedo ŋukpe miawo ŋutɔ ƒe aƒe, miebu miawo ŋutɔ ƒe agbe.
11 For the stones will cry out from the wall, and the rafters will echo it from the woodwork.
Kpe siwo wotsɔ tu miaƒe xɔwoe gɔ̃ hã ado ɣli ɖe mia ta eye ati siwo wotsɔ wɔ dzisasãwo la hã aɖe gbeƒã nya siwo kpeawo gblɔ.
12 Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by iniquity!
“Baba na mi, mi ame siwo wu amewo eye miexɔ ga le amewo si tsɔ tso hlɔ̃dodui.
13 Is it not indeed from the LORD of Hosts that the labor of the people only feeds the fire, and the nations weary themselves in vain?
Ɖe Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la meɖoe be amewo ƒe agbagbadzedzewo katã nabi le dzo me eye dukɔwo naka hiã wo ɖokui dzodzro oa?
14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
Ke anyigba dzi ayɔ fũu kple sidzedze Yehowa ƒe ŋutikɔkɔe abe ale si tsi yɔ atsiaƒu mee ene.
15 Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin until they are drunk, in order to gaze at their nakedness!
“Baba na ame si na aha ehavi wòno eye wòku wain na ehavi wòno va se ɖe esime wòmu be yeakpɔ eƒe amame.
16 You will be filled with shame instead of glory. You too must drink and expose your uncircumcision! The cup in the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and utter disgrace will cover your glory.
Azɔ eɖo wò hã dziwò. Noe nàɖe amama eye ŋukpe nava dziwò le ŋutikɔkɔeteƒe. Kplu si Yehowa lé ɖe eƒe nuɖusime la gbɔna gbɔwò eye ŋukpe atsyɔ wò ŋutikɔkɔe dzi.
17 For your violence against Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of animals will terrify you, because of your bloodshed against men and your violence against the land, the city, and all their dwellers.
Nu vlo si nèwɔ Lebanon la ava ƒo ɖe wò hã dziwò. Lã siwo katã nètsrɔ̃ la ado ŋɔdzi na wò elabena èkɔ ʋu ɖi eye nètsrɔ̃ anyigba kple duwo kple wo me nɔlawo katã.
18 What use is an idol, that a craftsman should carve it— or an image, a teacher of lies? For its maker trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.
“Viɖe kae le legba si ame li la ŋuti alo aklamakpakpɛ si daa alakpa la ŋuti? Ame si wɔe la tsɔ eƒe mɔkpɔkpɔ da ɖe nu si eya ŋutɔ wɔ la dzi elabena ewɔ legba siwo mate ŋu aƒo nu o.
19 Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Awake!’ or to silent stone, ‘Arise!’ Can it give guidance? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, yet there is no breath in it at all.”
Baba na ame si gblɔ na atikpakpɛ be, ‘Gbɔ agbe!’ Alo na kpe si me agbe mele o be, ‘Nyɔ!’ Ɖe wòate ŋu afia mɔ amea? Wotsɔ sika kple klosalo ɖo atsyɔ̃ nɛ gake agbegbɔgbɔ mele eme o.”
20 But the LORD is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him.
Ke Yehowa le eƒe gbedoxɔ kɔkɔe la me, xexea me katã nazi ɖoɖoe le eŋkume.
