< Ezekiel 3 >

1 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.”
Tsono Mulungu anandiwuza kuti, “Mwana wa munthu, idya chimene ndikukupatsachi. Idya kenaka upite ukayankhule ndi Aisraeli.”
2 So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.
Choncho ndinayasama ndipo anandipatsa mpukutuwo kuti ndidye.
3 “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Kenaka Iye anandiwuza kuti, “Iwe mwana wa munthu, idya mpukutu umene ndikukupatsa kuti ukhute.” Choncho ndinadya, ndipo unkatsekemera ngati uchi mʼkamwa mwanga.
4 Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.
Pamenepo Iye anandiwuza kuti, “Iwe mwana wa munthu, pita tsopano kwa Aisraeli ndipo ukawawuze mawu anga.
5 For you are not being sent to a people of unfamiliar speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel—
Sindikukutuma kwa anthu oyankhula chiyankhulo chachilendo ndi chovuta, koma kwa Aisraeli.
6 not to the many peoples of unfamiliar speech and difficult language whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
Sindikukutuma kwa mitundu yambiri ya anthu oyankhula chiyankhulo chachilendo ndi chovuta, amene mawu ake sungawamvetse. Ndithu ndikanakutuma kwa iwowa, bwenzi iwo atakumvera.
7 But the house of Israel will be unwilling to listen to you, since they are unwilling to listen to Me. For the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.
Koma Aisraeli sadzakumvera chifukwa iwo sakufuna kumvera Ine. Paja Aisraeli onse ndi okanika ndiponso a mtima wowuma.
8 Behold, I will make your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.
Tsono ine ndakhwimitsa nkhope yako mofanana ndi nkhope zawo. Ndalimbitsanso mutu wako mofanana ndi mitu yawo.
9 I will make your forehead like a diamond, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or dismayed at their presence, even though they are a rebellious house.”
Ine ndidzakusandutsa wolimba ngati mwala wa dayimondi umene uposa thanthwe lina lililonse kulimba kwake. Usachite nawo mantha kapena kuopsedwa nawo. Paja anthuwa ndi awupandu.”
10 “Son of man,” He added, “listen carefully to all the words I speak to you, and take them to heart.
Anatinso, “Iwe mwana wa munthu, umvetsetse bwino zimene ndikukuwuzazi ndipo mawu angawa uwasunge bwino mu mtima mwako.
11 Go to your people, the exiles; speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says,’ whether they listen or refuse to listen.”
Tsopano upite kwa Aisraeli anzako amene ali ku ukapolo ndipo ukayankhule nawo. ‘Kaya akamvera kaya sakamvera,’ koma uzikawawuza kuti, Ambuye Wamphamvuzonse akuti zakutizakuti.”
12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me: ‘Blessed be the glory of the LORD in His dwelling place!’
Pamenepo Mzimu unandinyamula ndipo kumbuyo kwanga ndinamva liwu lamphamvu ngati chivomerezi chachikulu, lonena kuti, “Utamandike ulemerero wa Yehova kumene Iye amakhala!”
13 It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rumbling sound.
Phokoso ndinkalimvalo linali la kugundana kwa mapiko a zamoyo ndiponso phokoso la mikombero ya pambali pake ija, limene linkamveka ngati chivomerezi chachikulu.
14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
Mzimu wa Yehova unandikweza ndi kundinyamula ndipo ndinachokapo ndili wowawidwa ndi wonyuka mu mtima. Ndipo dzanja la Yehova linali pa ine mwa mphamvu.
15 I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who dwelt by the River Kebar. And for seven days I sat where they sat and remained there among them, overwhelmed.
Choncho ndinafika kwa amene anali mu ukapolo ku Telabibu pafupi ndi mtsinje wa Kebara. Ndinakhala pansi pakati pawo masiku asanu ndi awiri, ndili wothedwa nzeru kwambiri.
16 At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Atatha masiku asanu ndi awiriwo, Yehova anandiwuza kuti,
17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from My mouth, give them a warning from Me.
“Iwe mwana wa munthu, Ine ndakuyika kuti ukhale mlonda wa Aisraeli. Uziti ukamva mawu anga, ndiye uzikawachenjeza.
18 If I say to the wicked man, ‘You will surely die,’ but you do not warn him or speak out to warn him from his wicked way to save his life, that wicked man will die in his iniquity, and I will hold you responsible for his blood.
Ndikawuza munthu woyipa kuti, ‘Iwe udzafa ndithu,’ koma iwe osamuchenjeza kapena kumuyankhula kuti aleke njira zake zoyipa ndi kuti akhale ndi moyo, munthu woyipayo adzafa mu uchimo wake, koma Ine ndidzakuyimba mlandu chifukwa cha imfa yake.
19 But if you warn a wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness and his wicked way, he will die in his iniquity, but you will have saved yourself.
Koma ukamuchenjeza munthu woyipa koma iye osatembenuka mtima kuleka zoyipa zake kapena kusiya njira zake zoyipa, munthuyo adzafa chifukwa cha uchimo wake koma iwe udzapulumutsa moyo wako.
20 Now if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. If you did not warn him, he will die in his sin, and the righteous acts he did will not be remembered. And I will hold you responsible for his blood.
“Ngati munthu wolungama asiya chilungamo chake ndi kuchita uchimo ndipo Ine nʼkumuyika mʼzoopsa, munthuyo adzafa ndithu. Popeza iwe sunamuchenjeze, adzafadi chifukwa cha tchimo ndipo chilungamo chake sichidzakumbukiridwa, koma ndidzakuyimba mlandu chifukwa cha imfa yake.
21 But if you warn the righteous man not to sin, and he does not sin, he will indeed live because he heeded your warning, and you will have saved yourself.”
Koma ngati umuchenjeza munthu wolungama kuti asachimwe ndipo iye nʼkuleka kuchimwa adzakhala ndi moyo ndithu chifukwa anamvera chenjezo, ndipo iwe udzapulumutsa moyo wako.”
22 And there the hand of the LORD was upon me, and He said to me, “Get up, go out to the plain, and there I will speak with you.”
Nthawi ina dzanja la Yehova linali pa ine ndipo anandiwuza kuti, “Nyamuka upite ku chigwa, kumeneko ndikayankhula nawe.”
23 So I got up and went out to the plain, and behold, the glory of the LORD was present there, like the glory I had seen by the River Kebar, and I fell facedown.
Choncho ndinanyamuka kupita ku chigwa. Ndipo ndinaona ulemerero wa Yehova kumeneko, ngati ulemerero umene ndinaona mʼmbali mwa mtsinje wa Kebara ndipo ndinagwa pansi chafufumimba.
24 Then the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet. He spoke with me and said, “Go, shut yourself inside your house.
Koma Mzimu wa Mulungu unalowa mwa ine ndipo unandiyimiritsa. Tsono Yehova anandiyankhula nati: “Pita, kadzitsekere mʼnyumba mwako.
25 And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes, and you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
Ndipo iwe mwana wa munthu, adzakumanga ndi zingwe motero kuti sudzatha kuyendanso pakati pa anthu.
26 I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth, and you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
Ndidzamatirira lilime lako kukhosi, kotero kuti udzakhala chete wosatha kuwadzudzula, chifukwa iwo ndi anthu aupandu.
27 But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you are to tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’ Whoever listens, let him listen; and whoever refuses, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.
Koma pamene ndidzayankhula kwa iwe, ndidzatsekula pakamwa pako ndipo udzawawuza kuti, ‘Ambuye Yehova akuti zakutizakuti.’ Aliyense wofuna kumva amve ndipo wokana kumva, muleke akane; pakuti iwo ndi anthu opanduka.”
