< Daniel 12 >
1 “At that time Michael, the great prince who stands watch over your people, will rise up. There will be a time of distress, the likes of which will not have occurred from the beginning of nations until that time. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.
“Nʼoge ahụ, Maikel, onyeisi ọchịchị ukwuu ahụ, nke na-eche ndị unu, ga-ebili. Ọ ga-abụ oge nhụju anya, a na-ahụtụbeghị ụdị ya site na mgbe mba ọbụla malitere ruo ugbu a. Ma mgbe ahụ, ndị gị niile, ndị e dere aha ha nʼakwụkwọ ahụ, ka a ga-anapụta.
2 And many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, but others to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Then the wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever.
Ndị ahụ bụ ndị maara ihe, ka a ga-eme ka ha nwuo ọcha dịka ihe mbara eluigwe. Ndị ahụ niile na-emekwa ka ọtụtụ si nʼihe ọjọọ mee ezi omume ga-enwukwa dịka kpakpando ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
4 But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase.”
5 Then I, Daniel, looked and saw two others standing there, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
Mgbe ahụ, mụ bụ Daniel weliri anya hụ mmadụ abụọ ndị ọzọ ka ha nọ nʼakụkụ osimiri ahụ, otu nʼakụkụ nke a, otu nʼakụkụ nke ọzọ.
6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long until the fulfillment of these wonders?”
Otu nʼime ha juru nwoke ahụ yi uwe akwa ọcha, nke guzo nʼakụkụ elu elu nke osimiri ahụ ajụjụ, sị, “Olee mgbe ihe ndị a na-eyi egwu ga-emezu?”
7 And the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by Him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, and times, and half a time. When the power of the holy people has finally been shattered, all these things will be completed.”
Nwoke ahụ yi uwe akwa ọcha, nke nọ nʼakụkụ elu elu mmiri nke osimiri ahụ chịlịri aka nri na aka ekpe ya elu. Anụkwara m mgbe o ji Onye ahụ na-adị ndụ ruo mgbe niile ebighị ebi ṅụọ iyi, “Nʼihe ndị a ga-emezu naanị mgbe afọ atọ na ọkara gafere, tupu onye ahụ na-emebi ike nke ndị dị nsọ ga-abịa nʼisi ngwụcha ndụ ya, ihe ndị a niile ga-emezucha.”
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
Anụrụ m ma aghọtaghị m, nʼihi nke a, a sịrị m, “Biko, Onyenwe m, gịnị ka ihe ndị a ga-apụta?”
9 “Go on your way, Daniel,” he replied, “for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.
Ọ sịrị, “Daniel, gawara onwe gị. Nʼihi na-apịachiela okwu ndị a, kachiekwa ya akara tutu ruo nʼọgwụgwụ oge.
10 Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.
Ọtụtụ ka a ga-eme ka ha dị ọcha, sachaa ha mee ka ha dị ọcha na-enweghị ntụpọ, a ga-anụchakwa ha. Ma ndị ajọ omume ga-aga nʼihu nʼajọ omume ha. O nweghị onye ajọ omume nke ga-aghọtakwa ihe, ma ndị ahụ maara ihe ga-aghọta ihe ihe a pụtara.
11 And from the time the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation set up, there will be 1,290 days.
“Site nʼoge e mechiri ịchụ aja nsure ọkụ nke a na-achụ kwa ụbọchị niile ruo nʼoge a ga-ewuli ihe arụ ahụ nke na-eweta mbibi, ga-abụ otu puku ụbọchị, na narị ụbọchị abụọ na iri ụbọchị itoolu.
12 Blessed is he who waits and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
Ngọzị ga-adịrị onye ahụ nke na-echere, ma nọgidesịkwa ike ruo mgbe otu puku ụbọchị, na narị ụbọchị atọ, na iri ụbọchị atọ na ise ahụ gafere.
13 But as for you, go on your way until the end. You will rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”
“Ma gị onwe, gawara onwe gị ruo ọgwụgwụ ihe ndị a. Ị ga-ezukwa ike, ị ga-ebilitekwa nʼoge ikpeazụ ịnara ihe nketa nke ruuru gị.”
