< 2 Chronicles 23 >
1 Then in the seventh year, Jehoiada strengthened himself and made a covenant with the commanders of hundreds—with Azariah son of Jeroham, Ishmael son of Jehohanan, Azariah son of Obed, Maaseiah son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat son of Zichri.
Ní ọdún keje, Jehoiada fi agbára rẹ̀ hàn. O dá májẹ̀mú pẹ̀lú àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún kan, Asariah ọmọ Jerohamu, Iṣmaeli ọmọ Jehohanani Asariah ọmọ Obedi, Maaseiah ọmọ Adaiah àti Elisafati ọmọ Sikri.
2 So they went throughout Judah and gathered the Levites from all the cities of Judah and the heads of the families of Israel. And when they came to Jerusalem,
Wọ́n lọ sí gbogbo Juda, wọ́n sì pe àwọn ará Lefi àti àwọn olórí àwọn ìdílé àwọn ará Israẹli láti gbogbo àwọn ìlú jọ. Nígbà tí wọ́n wá sí Jerusalẹmu.
3 the whole assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. “Behold, the king’s son!” said Jehoiada. “He must reign, just as the LORD promised concerning the descendants of David.
Gbogbo ìpéjọ náà dá májẹ̀mú pẹ̀lú ọba ní ilé Ọlọ́run. Jehoiada wí fún wọn pé, “Ọmọkùnrin ọba yóò jẹ ọba, bí Olúwa ti ṣèlérí nípa àwọn ìran Dafidi.
4 This is what you are to do: A third of you priests and Levites who come on duty on the Sabbath shall keep watch at the doors,
Nísinsin yìí èyí ni ohun tí ó yẹ kí ó ṣe, ìdámẹ́ta àlùfáà yín àti àwọn ará Lefi tí ó ń lọ fún iṣẹ́ ìsìn ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi ni kí ó bojútó àwọn ìlẹ̀kùn.

6 No one is to enter the house of the LORD except the priests and those Levites who serve; they may enter because they are consecrated, but all the people are to obey the requirement of the LORD.
Kò sí ẹnìkan tí ó gbọdọ̀ wọ inú ilé Olúwa yàtọ̀ sí àwọn àlùfáà àti àwọn ará Lefi tí a rán ní iṣẹ́ ìsìn. Wọ́n lè wọlé nítorí tí a ti yà wọ́n sọ́tọ̀, ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo ọkùnrin mìíràn ni kí wọn ó sọ ohun tí Olúwa ti yàn fún wọn.

Àwọn ará Lefi gbọdọ̀ wà ní ìdúró ṣinṣin yí ọba ká. Olúkúlùkù pẹ̀lú àwọn nǹkan ìjà ní ọwọ́ rẹ̀. Ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá wọ ilé Olúwa ni kí ẹ pa. Ẹ dúró ti ọba níbikíbi tí ó bá lọ.”
8 So the Levites and all Judah did everything that Jehoiada the priest had ordered. Each of them took his men—those coming on duty on the Sabbath and those going off duty—for Jehoiada the priest had not released any of the divisions.
Àwọn ará Lefi àti gbogbo ọkùnrin Juda ṣe gẹ́gẹ́ bí Jehoiada àlùfáà ti paláṣẹ. Olúkúlùkù mú àwọn ọkùnrin rẹ̀, àwọn tí wọ́n lọ fún iṣẹ́ ìsìn ní ọjọ́ ìsinmi àti àwọn tí wọ́n ń kúrò ní ibi iṣẹ́. Nítorí Jehoiada àlùfáà kò ì tí tú ìpín kankan sílẹ̀.
9 Then Jehoiada the priest gave to the commanders of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields of King David that were in the house of God.
Jehoiada àlùfáà, sì fi ọ̀kọ̀ àti asà, àti àpáta wọ̀n-ọn-nì, tí ó jẹ́ ti ọba Dafidi tí wọn wà ní ilé Ọlọ́run, fún àwọn balógun ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún.
10 He stationed all the troops, with their weapons in hand, surrounding the king by the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.

11 Then Jehoiada and his sons brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They anointed him and shouted, “Long live the king!”
Jehoiada àti àwọn ọmọkùnrin rẹ̀ mú ọmọkùnrin ọba jáde wá wọ́n sì gbé adé sórí rẹ̀; wọ́n mú ẹ̀dà májẹ̀mú kan fún un. Wọ́n sì kéde rẹ̀ lọ́ba. Wọ́n fi àmì òróró yàn án, wọ́n sì kígbe pé, “Kí ọba kí ó pẹ́!”
12 When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and cheering the king, she went out to them in the house of the LORD.
Nígbà tí Ataliah gbọ́ igbe àwọn ènìyàn tí wọ́n ń sáré tí wọ́n ń kígbe ọba, ó lọ sí ọ̀dọ̀ wọn ní ilé Olúwa.
13 And she looked out and saw the king standing by his pillar at the entrance. The officers and trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets, while the singers with musical instruments were leading the praises. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and screamed, “Treason, treason!”
Ó sì wò, sì kíyèsi, ọba dúró ní ibùdó rẹ̀ ní ẹ̀bá ẹnu-ọ̀nà, àti àwọn balógun àti àwọn afùnpè lọ́dọ̀ ọba, gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà sì yọ̀, wọ́n sì fọn ìpè, àti àwọn akọrin pẹ̀lú ohun èlò ìyìn. Nígbà náà ni Ataliah fa aṣọ rẹ̀ ya, ó sì kégbe wí pé, “Ọ̀tẹ̀! Ọ̀tẹ̀!”
14 And Jehoiada the priest sent out the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, saying, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”
Jehoiada àlùfáà mú àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún, tí ó wà ní àbojútó àwọn ọ̀wọ́ ogun, ó sì wá wí fún wọn pé, “Mú un jáde wá láàrín àwọn ọgbà, kí a sì fi idà pa ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá tẹ̀lé.” Nítorí tí àlùfáà ti wí pé, “Má ṣe pa á nínú ilé Olúwa.”
15 So they seized Athaliah as she reached the entrance of the Horse Gate to the palace grounds, and there they put her to death.

16 Then Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and the king and the people that they would be the LORD’s people.
Nígbà náà ni Jehoiada, dá májẹ̀mú pé òun àti àwọn ènìyàn àti ọba yóò jẹ́ ènìyàn Olúwa.
17 So all the people went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces and killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars.

18 Moreover, Jehoiada put the oversight of the house of the LORD into the hands of the Levitical priests, whom David had appointed over the house of the LORD, to offer burnt offerings to the LORD as is written in the Law of Moses, with rejoicing and song, as ordained by David.
Nígbà náà, Jehoiada tẹ àwòrán ilé Olúwa sí ọwọ́ àwọn àlùfáà tí wọ́n jẹ́ ará Lefi ẹni tí Dafidi ti fi ṣe iṣẹ́ ní ilé Olúwa láti tẹ ẹbọ sísun ti Olúwa bí a ti kọ ọ́ nínú òfin Mose, pẹ̀lú ayọ̀ àti orin kíkọ, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Dafidi ti pàṣẹ.

20 He also took with him the commanders of hundreds, the nobles, the rulers of the people, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace through the Upper Gate. They seated King Joash on the royal throne,
Ó mú pẹ̀lú rẹ̀ àwọn alákòóso ọ̀rọ̀ọ̀rún, àwọn ẹni ọlá, àwọn olórí àwọn ènìyàn àti gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn ilẹ̀ náà. Ó sì mú ọba sọ̀kalẹ̀ wá láti ilé Olúwa. Wọ́n lọ sínú ààfin láti ẹnu òde ti òkè. Wọ́n sì fi ọba jókòó lórí ìtẹ́.
