< Lamentations 2 >
1 How has the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger! He has cast the beauty of Israel down from heaven to the earth, and has not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.
Mano kaka Ruoth Nyasaye osekumo Nyar Sayun gi mirimbe motwere ka rumbi! Duongʼ mar Israel ma yande otundo nyaka e polo, osewito piny, bende kuom mirimbe ok oseparo ni en raten mar tiende.
2 The Lord has swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob without pity. He has thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah. He has brought them down to the ground. He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.
Ruoth Nyasaye oseketho mier duto mag Jakobo ka ok odewo; nikech mirimbe osemuko kuonde mochiel motegno mag Nyar Juda. Nokuodo wi jopinyno gi jotende mi odwoko lochgi chien.
3 He has cut off all the horn of Israel in fierce anger. He has drawn back his right hand from before the enemy. He has burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devours all around.
Osetieko teko mar jo-Israel gi mirimbe mager, kendo osejwangʼogi e lwet wasikgi. Osewengʼo ka Jakobo kaka mach mager makakni ma wangʼo gik moko duto molwore.
4 He has bent his bow like an enemy. He has stood with his right hand as an adversary. He has killed all that were pleasant to the eye. In the tent of the daughter of Zion, he has poured out his wrath like fire.
Oseywayo atungʼe mar kedo gi joge mana ka gima gin wasike. Kaka jasigu neko, osenego jogo duto mane nenore mabeyo e wangʼ, kendo oseolo mirimbe oko ka mach kuom hemb Nyar Sayun.
5 The Lord has become as an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces. He has destroyed his strongholds. He has multiplied mourning and lamentation in the daughter of Judah.
Ruoth Nyasaye chalo gi jasigu; kendo osetieko Israel! Osemuko ute Israel duto mag ruoth kendo oseketho mieche mochiel motegno. Osemedo ywagruok kod kuyo ne Nyar Juda.
6 He has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were a garden. He has destroyed his place of assembly. The LORD has caused solemn assembly and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion. In the indignation of his anger, he has despised the king and the priest.
Oseketho kare mar dak mana ka puodho moketh chambe modongʼ nono, kendo osemuko kare mar romo. Jehova Nyasaye osemiyo Sayun wiye owil kod sewni moyier gi Sabatoge; kendo kuom mirimbe mager, osejwangʼo ruoth kaachiel gi jadolo.
7 The Lord has cast off his altar. He has abhorred his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the LORD’s house, as in the day of a solemn assembly.
Ruoth Nyasaye osedagi kendone mar misango kendo jwangʼo kare maler mar lemo. Osechiwo ohinga mag kuonde mag dak e lwet wasigu; gisegoyo koko e od Jehova Nyasaye mana kaka ne itimo e odiechiengʼ mar sawo moyier.
8 The LORD has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion. He has stretched out the line. He has not withdrawn his hand from destroying; He has made the rampart and wall lament. They languish together.
Jehova Nyasaye osechano muko ohinga molworo Nyar Sayun. Oserieyo rapim kendo ne ok ogengʼo lwete mondo kik okethe. Nomiyo chiel ma oko mar dala kod ohinga oyiengni, giduto kaachiel ne gimukore mi gigore piny.
9 Her gates have sunk into the ground. He has destroyed and broken her bars. Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not. Yes, her prophets find no vision from the LORD.
Dhorangeyene osegore piny molal ei lowo, oseturo lodi mage kendo kethogi. Ruodhe gi jodonge oke e kind ogendini, chik onge koro, to jonabi mage koro ok yud fweny moa kuom Jehova Nyasaye.
10 The elders of the daughter of Zion sit on the ground. They keep silence. They have cast up dust on their heads. They have clothed themselves with sackcloth. The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
Jodongo mag nyar Sayun, obedo piny kolingʼ thi, gisebuko wiyegi gi buru kendo girwako piende gugru. Nyi Jerusalem osekulo wiyegi piny.
11 My eyes fail with tears. My heart is troubled. My bile is poured on the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, because the young children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.
Wangʼa ojony nikech ywak, chunya ool, kendo chandore malit nikech joga osetieki, kendo nyithindo kod nyithindo mayom kech nego e yore mag dala maduongʼ.

13 What shall I testify to you? What shall I liken to you, daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is as big as the sea. Who can heal you?
Yaye Nyar Jerusalem, en angʼo madawach kuomi? Koso en angʼo ma dapimigo? Yaye Nyar Sayun mapok ongʼeyo dichwo, en angʼo ma dapimigo, koso en angʼo ma dahoyigo? Adhola ma in-go tut mana ka nam. Ere ngʼama dithiedhnigo?
14 Your prophets have seen false and foolish visions for you. They have not uncovered your iniquity, to reverse your captivity, but have seen for you false revelations and causes of banishment.

Wasiki duto wuoyo marach kuomi; gijari ka gikayo lekegi kagiwacho niya, “Wasetieke chuth. Ma e ndalo mane wasebedo ka warito; adier, osechopo ma wanene.”
17 The LORD has done that which he planned. He has fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old. He has thrown down, and has not pitied. He has caused the enemy to rejoice over you. He has exalted the horn of your adversaries.
Jehova Nyasaye osetimo gima ne osechano; osechopo mano mane owacho, ma en gima nochiko chon. Osetieki ma ok odewo, kendo osemiyo wasigu goyoni siboi, komedogi teko.
18 Their heart cried to the Lord. O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night. Give yourself no relief. Do not let your eyes rest.
Chunje ji ywak ni Ruoth Nyasaye. Yaye ohinga mar Nyar Sayun, we pi wangʼi omol ka aora, odiechiengʼ gotieno; kik iywe kata matin, kendo pi wangʼi kik chogi.
19 Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street.
Aa malo, ywagi otieno duto, e kindego mag arita ma otieno chakore, kendo weche duto manie chunyi ol oko ka pi e nyim Ruoth Nyasaye. Tingʼ bedeni malo kilame nikech nyithindi, ma kech nego e wangʼ yore duto.

Yaye Jehova Nyasaye winjie wachni: En ngʼa misetimone gima lit machal kama? Bende mon dicham nyithindgi ma giserito maber kama? Koso jodolo gi jonabi dinegi e kama ler mar lemo mar Ruoth Nyasaye adier?
21 “The youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets. My virgins and my young men have fallen by the sword. You have killed them in the day of your anger. You have slaughtered, and not pitied.
Jomatindo gi jomadongo nindo e yore motimo buru; yawuota gi nyiga oseneg gi ligangla. Isenegogi ka in gi mirima kendo isetiekogi ka ok idewo.
22 “You have called, as in the day of a solemn assembly, my terrors on every side. There was no one that escaped or remained in the day of the LORD’s anger. My enemy has consumed those whom I have cared for and brought up.
Ne iluongo masira koa kuonde duto mana ka ji mabiro e nyasi moro maduongʼ. E odiechiengʼ mar mirimb Jehova Nyasaye onge ngʼato mane otony kata mane odongʼ kangima. Kuom joga mane apidho kendo arito, wasika osetieko.
