Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the LORD’s arm been revealed?
੧ਸਾਡੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਤੀਤ ਕੀਤੀ? ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਭੁਜਾ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਈ?
2 For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
੨ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੂੰਬਲ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਰੂਪ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਹੱਪਣ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ।
3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we did not respect him.
੩ਉਹ ਤੁੱਛ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤਿਆਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਇੱਕ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਸੋਗ ਦਾ ਜਾਣੂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਮੂੰਹ ਲੁਕਾਉਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਦਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
4 Surely he has borne our sickness and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
੪ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਰੋਗ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਏ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਠਾਏ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਕੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੰਨਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਮਝਿਆ।
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
੫ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਲਈ ਘਾਇਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੁਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਸਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਾੜਨਾ ਹੋਈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰ ਖਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਰੋਏ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ।
6 All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
੬ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਭੁੱਲੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਸੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਦੀ।
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he did not open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
੭ਉਹ ਸਤਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ, ਉਸ ਲੇਲੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉੱਨ ਕਤਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਗੂੰਗੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ।
8 He was taken away by oppression and judgment. As for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?
੮ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ? ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਪਈ,
9 They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
੯ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਠਹਿਰਾਈ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਛਲ ਸੀ।
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he will see his offspring. He will prolong his days and the LORD’s pleasure will prosper in his hand.
੧੦ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵੇ। ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਂ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਨ ਲੰਮੇ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.
੧੧ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਰਮੀ ਦਾਸ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
12 Therefore I will give him a portion with the great. He will divide the plunder with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was counted with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many and made intercession for the transgressors.
੧੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਵੰਡ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬਲਵੰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਲੁੱਟ ਵੰਡੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਮੌਤ ਲਈ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਗਿਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਚੁੱਕੇ, ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਿਫ਼ਾਰਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।
