< Amos 3 >
1 Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying:
Un oganda jo-Israel duto mane agolo e piny Misri, winjuru wach ma an Jehova Nyasaye awachonu:
2 “I have only chosen you of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.”
“Un kende ema aseyiero kuom ogendini duto manie piny; mano emomiyo abiro kumou kuom richou duto musetimo.”
3 Do two walk together, unless they have agreed?
Uparo ni ji ariyo nyalo wuotho kaachiel kapok giwinjore?
4 Will a lion roar in the thicket, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out of his den, if he has caught nothing?
Bende sibuor nyalo ruto e thim ka oonge gi gima ochamo? Bende nyathi sibuor nyalo ngʼur e gono mare kapok oyudo gima ochamo?
5 Can a bird fall in a trap on the earth, where no snare is set for him? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when there is nothing to catch?
Koso winyo nyalo moko e obadho nade ka ok ochike gi kudni? Koso obadho dimeki nade kaonge gima otuge?
6 Does the trumpet alarm sound in a city, without the people being afraid? Does evil happen to a city, and the LORD has not done it?
Bende tungʼ mar lweny nyalo ywak e dala ma ok omiyo ji otetni? Koso ere gima nyalo timore e dala ma ok Jehova Nyasaye ema oyie mondo otimre?
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.
Adier, onge gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto nyalo timo e dala ma ok ofwenyo, ne jotichne ma jonabi.
8 The lion has roared. Who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken. Who can but prophesy?
Ka sibuor oruto, to ere ngʼama ok dibed maluor? Kata ere janabi madilingʼ alingʼa ma ok ohulo gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto onyise?
9 Proclaim in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria, and see what unrest is in her, and what oppression is among them.”
Gouru milome e kuonde mochiel motegno mag Ashdod kaachiel gi Misri: “Chokreuru kanyakla e gode molworo Samaria, mondo uneye timbe mamono matimore e dalano, kendo kaka isando ji kuno.”
10 “Indeed they do not know to do right,” says the LORD, “Who hoard plunder and loot in their palaces.”
Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Jogo ok ongʼeyo timo tim makare kendo utegi madongogi opongʼ mana gi gik moyaki.”
11 Therefore the Lord GOD says: “An adversary will overrun the land; and he will pull down your strongholds, and your fortresses will be plundered.”
Kuom mano, ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: “Wasigu biro monjou maketh kuondeu mochiel motegno, kendo giyak mwandu magu.”
12 The LORD says: “As the shepherd rescues out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued who sit in Samaria on the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.”
Jehova Nyasaye wacho niya, “Mana kaka jakwath reso lemo ariyo kata it rombo modongʼ ma sibuor pok ochamo, e kaka Nyasaye nores, jo-Israel manok modak Samaria ka gin e dho kitandagi, kaachiel gi man Damaski ka gibet e kombegi.”
13 “Listen, and testify against the house of Jacob,” says the Lord GOD, the God of Armies.
Ruoth Nyasaye, ma en Jehova Nyasaye Maratego wacho niya, “Koro chikuru itu mondo usiem nyikwa Jakobo.
14 “For in the day that I visit the transgressions of Israel on him, I will also visit the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar will be cut off, and fall to the ground.
“Chiengʼ ma abiro kumoe nyithi Israel kuom richogi, bende e ndalo ma abiro kethoe kende mag misango miwangʼoe liswa man Bethel, kendo anangʼad tunge kendego mag misango mi ginipodh piny.
15 I will strike the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory will perish, and the great houses will have an end,” says the LORD.
Anamuk udi mudakie e ndalo mag chwiri kaachiel gi mago mudakie ndalo mag oro; udi ma ukedo igi gi lak liech biro dongʼ gundni kendo uteu madongo duto abiro ketho,” Jehova Nyasaye owacho.
