< Deuteronomy 21 >

1 If a man is found slain in the land which Jehovah thy God gives thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it not be known who has smitten him,
No adda nasarakanyo a natay iti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo a tagikuaenyo, a nakadasay iti talon, ken saan nga ammo no siasino ti nangdarup kenkuana;
2 then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth. And they shall measure to the cities which are round about him who is slain,
masapul ngarud a rummuar dagiti panglakayen ken ukomyo, ket masapul a rukodenda dagiti siudad iti aglawlaw ti napapatay.
3 and it shall be, that the city which is nearest to the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd, which has not been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke,
Ket ti kaasitgan a siudad iti napapatay a tao—masapul a mangala dagiti panglakayen ditoy iti bumalasang a baka manipud iti arban, maysa a saan pay a pulos a nagtrabaho, saan pay a naipako.
4 and the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer to a valley with running water, which is neither plowed nor sown, and shall break the heifer's neck there in the valley.
Masapul nga isalog dagiti panglakayen iti dayta a siudad ti bumalasang a baka iti tanap nga adda agay-ayus a danum, maysa a tanap a saan pay a naarado wenno namulaan, ket masapul a matukkol ti tengnged ti bumalasang a baka idiay tanap.
5 And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near, for Jehovah thy God has chosen them to minister to him, and to bless in the name of Jehovah, and according to their word shall every controversy and every stroke be.
Masapul a mapan dagiti papadi, dagiti kaputotan ni Levi; ta pinili ida ni Yahweh a Diosyo tapno agserbi kenkuana ken mangbendision kadagiti tattao iti nagan ni Yahweh; denggenyo dagiti balakadda, ta ti saoda ti pangngeddengto iti tunggal riri ken kaso iti panagaapa.
6 And all the elders of that city, who are nearest to the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley,
Amin a panglakayen iti siudad a kaasitgan iti napapatay a tao ket masapul a buggoanda dagiti imada iti rabaw ti bumalasang a baka a natukkol ti tengngedna idiay tanap;
7 and they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
ket masapul a sumungbatda iti kaso ket kunaenda, 'Saan a pinagsayasay dagiti imami daytoy a dara, wenno nakita dagiti matami daytoy.
8 Forgive, O Jehovah, thy people Israel whom thou have redeemed, and allow no innocent blood to remain in the midst of thy people Israel. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
Pakawanem, O Yahweh, dagiti tattaom nga Israel, a sinubbotmo, ken saanmo nga ikabil ti basol iti panagsayasay ti dara nga awan basolna iti tengnga dagiti tattaom nga Israel.' Ket mapakawandanto iti panagsayasay ti dara.
9 So shall thou put away the innocent blood from the midst of thee when thou shall do that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah.
Iti kastoy a wagas, ikkatenyonto ti awan basolna a dara iti nagtetengngaanyo, no aramidenyo ti nalinteg iti imatang ni Yahweh.
10 When thou go forth to battle against thine enemies, and Jehovah thy God delivers them into thy hands, and thou carry them away captive,
Inton mapanka makigubat kadagiti kabusormo ket pagballigiennaka ni Yahweh a Diosmo ken impaiturayanna ida kenka, ket masapul nga alaem ida a kas balud.
11 and see among the captives a beautiful woman, and thou have a desire for her, and would take her to thee to wife,
No adda makitam a napintas a babai kadagiti balud, ket adda tarigagaymo kenkuana ken kayatmo isuna nga alaen a kas asawam,
12 then thou shall bring her home to thy house. And she shall shave her head, and pare her nails,
mabalinmo ngarud nga iyawid isuna iti balaymo, kuskosannanto ti ulona ken putdanna dagiti kukona.
13 and she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thy house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month. And after that thou shall go in to her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
Ussobennanto dagiti pagan-anay a suotna idi naala isuna a kas balud, ket agtalinaedto isuna iti balaymo ken dung-awanna ti ama ken inana iti makabulan. Kalpasan dayta, mabalinmon a kaiddaen isuna ket agbalinkan nga asawana ken agbalin isunan nga asawam.
14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shall let her go where she will, but thou shall not sell her at all for money. Thou shall not deal with her harshly, because thou have humbled her.
Ngem no saankan a maragsakan kenkuana, palubosam ngarud isuna a mapan iti kayatna a papanan. Ngem masapul a saanmo a pulos nga ilaklako isuna iti kuarta, ken masapul a saanmo isuna nga ibilang a kasla maysa a tagabu, gapu ta imbabainmo isuna.
15 If a man has two wives, the one beloved, and the other regarded inferior, and they have borne him sons, both the beloved and the one regarded inferior, and if the firstborn son be hers who was regarded inferior,
No addaan ti maysa a lalaki iti dua nga asawa ket maay-ayat ti maysa ken magurgura ti maysa, ket agpadada a nangipasngay kenkuana iti annak— ti maay-ayat nga asawa ken ti magurgura nga asawa—no ti inauna nga anak ket anak ti magurgura nga asawa,
16 then it shall be, in the day that he causes his sons to inherit that which he has, that he may not make the son of the beloved the firstborn before the son of the one regarded inferior, who is the firstborn.
ket iti aldaw nga ipatawid ti lalaki kadagiti annakna dagiti sanikuana, saanna a mabalin a pagbalinen nga inauna ti anak ti maay-ayat nga asawa sakbay ti anak ti magurgura nga asawa, ti pudno nga inauna nga anak.
17 But he shall acknowledge the firstborn, the son of the one regarded inferior, by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength. The right of the firstborn is his.
Ngem ketdi, masapul a bigbigenna ti inauna nga anak, ti anak ti magurgura nga asawa babaen iti pannangtedna iti mamindua a bingay iti amin a sanikuana; ta dayta nga anak ti rugi ti pigsana; ti karbengan ti inauna nga anak ket kukuana.
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, who will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and, though they chasten him, will not hearken to them,
No addaan ti maysa a tao iti anak a natangken ti ulona ken nasukir a saan nga agtulnog iti timek ti ama wenno ti inana, ken uray no tubtubngarenda isuna, saanna ida a dengdenggen;
19 then his father and his mother shall lay hold on him, and bring him out to the elders of his city, and to the gate of his place.
masapul ngarud a tenglen isuna ti ama ken inana ket ipanda kadagiti panglakayen iti siudadna ken iti ruangan ti siudadna.
20 And they shall say to the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice. He is a glutton, and a drunkard.
Masapul a kunaenda kadagiti panglakayen iti siudadna, 'Natangken ti ulona ken nasukir daytoy nga anakmi a lalaki; saanna a tungtungpalen ti timekmi; narawet ken mammartek isuna.'
21 And all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones. So thou shall put away the evil from the midst of thee, and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
Ket masapul a batoen isuna dagiti amin a lallaki iti siudadna agingga a matay; ket maikkatyonto ti kinadakes kadakayo. Mangngegto amin nga Israelita daytoy ket agbutengda.
22 And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree,
No nakaaramid ti maysa a lalaki iti basol a maikari iti pannakatay ken mapapatay isuna, ket ibitinyo isuna iti kayo,
23 his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shall surely bury him the same day, for he who is hanged is accursed of God, that thou not defile thy land which Jehovah thy God gives thee for an inheritance.
masapul ngarud a saan nga agpatpatnag ti bagina iti kayo. Ngem ketdi, masapul nga itabonyo isuna iti dayta met laeng nga aldaw; ta inlunod ti Dios ti siasinoman a naibitin. Tungpalenyo daytoy a bilin tapno saanyo a tulawan ti daga nga it-ited ni Yahweh a Diosyo kadakayo a kas tawidyo.
