< 2 Chronicles 18 >
1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance. And he joined affinity with Ahab.
Ita, bimmaknang ken mararaem iti kasta unay ni Jehosafat; nakigayyem isuna kenni Ahab babaen iti panangipaasawana iti maysa kadagiti pamiliana iti putot a babai ni Ahab.
2 And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people who were with him, and moved him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead.
Kalpasan iti sumagmamano a tawen, simmalog isuna iti ayan ni Ahab idiay Samaria. Nangparti ni Ahab iti adu a karnero ken baka para kenkuana ken kadagiti tattao a kaduana. Inallukoy met isuna ni Ahab a makikadua kenkuana a mangraut iti Ramot Galaad.
3 And Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Will thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou are, and my people as thy people, and will be with thee in the war.
Kinuna ni Ahab nga ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda, “Sumurotka kadi kaniak idiay Ramot Galaad?” Insungbat ni Jehosafat iti ari ti Israel, “Kaslaak kenka, ken dagiti tattaok ket kasla kadagiti tattaom; kaduaandakayonto a makigubat.”
4 And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Inquire first, I pray thee, for the word of Jehovah.
Kinuna ni Jehosafat iti ari ti Israel, “Pangaasim ta ammoem pay nga umuna ti ibaga ni Yahweh para iti sungbatmo.”
5 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up. For God will deliver it into the hand of the king.
Ket inummong ti ari ti Israel dagiti profetana, 400 a lallaki, ket kinunana kadakuada, “Mapanmi kadi rauten ti Ramot Galaad wenno saan? Kinunada, “Rautenyo, ta pagballigiento ti Dios ti ari.”
6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah besides, that we may inquire of him?
Ngem kinuna ni Jehosafat, “Awan kadin ditoy ti sabali pay a profeta ni Yahweh a mabalintayo a pagkiddawan iti balakad?”
7 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Jehovah, but I hate him. For he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil; the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Adda pay maysa a tao a mabalintayo a pagdawatan iti balakad manipud kenni Yahweh, ni Micaias a putot ni Imla, ngem kagurgurak isuna ta saan a pulos a mangipadto iti aniaman a nasayaat a banag maipanggep kaniak, ngem ketdi pasig a kinarigat laeng.” Ngem kinuna ni Jehosafat, “Saan koma nga ibaga ti ari dayta.”
8 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
Ket nangayab ti ari ti Israel iti opisial ket binilinna, “Iyegyo itan ni Micaias a putot ni Imla.”
9 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah each sat on his throne, arrayed in their robes. And they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets were prophesying before them.
Ita, nakatugaw ni Ahab nga ari ti Israel ken ni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda kadagiti tronoda, nakakawesda kadagiti pagan-anayda a kas ari, iti nawaya a lugar iti pagserkan ti ruangan ti Samaria, ket agipadpadto dagiti amin a profeta, iti sangoananda.
10 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made for him horns of iron, and said, Thus says Jehovah, With these thou shall push the Syrians until they be consumed.
Nangaramid ni Zedekias a putot ni Kenaana iti sinan-sara a landok ket kinunana, “Kastoy ti imbaga ni Yahweh: 'Babaen kadagitoy maparmekyonto dagiti taga-Aram agingga a maibusda.”
11 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper. For Jehovah will deliver it into the hand of the king.
Ket kasta met laeng ti impadto dagiti amin a profeta, a kunada, “Rautenyo ti Ramot Galaad ket agballigikayo, ta inyawat daytoy ni Yahweh iti ima ti ari.”
12 And the messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets are good to the king with one mouth. Let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
Nakisao kenni Micaias ti mensahero a napan nangayab kenkuana, a kunana, “Ita dumngegka, pasig a nasayaat a banbanag dagiti sasao nga imbaga dagiti profeta ti ari. Pangngaasim ta ibagam koma ti kas iti imbaga ti maysa kadakuada ket nasayaat a banbanag ti ibagam.”
13 And Micaiah said, As Jehovah lives, what my God says, that will I speak.
Insungbat ni Micaias, “Iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, no ania ti ibaga ni Yahweh kaniak ti sawek.”
14 And when he came to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.
Idi napan isuna iti ayan ti ari, kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Micaias, mapanmi kadi rauten ti Ramot Galaad, wenno saan?” Insungbat ni Micaias, “Rautem ket agballigika! Ta dakkelto daytoy a balligi.”
15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Jehovah?
Ket kinuna ti ari kenkuana, “Namin-ano a daras nga imbagak kenka nga isapatam a ti laeng kinapudno ti ibagam kaniak iti nagan ni Yahweh?”
16 And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And Jehovah said, These have no master. Let them return every man to his house in peace.
Isu a kinuna ni Micaias, “Nakitak ti entero nga Israel a nawarawara kadagiti banbantay, kasda la karnero nga awan mangipaspastor, ket kinuna ni Yahweh, 'Awan mangipaspastor kadagitoy. Agsubli koma ti tunggal maysa iti balayna nga addaan kappia.”’
17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?
Isu a kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Saan kadi nga imbagak kenka a saan isuna nga agipadto iti nasayaat maipanggep kaniak, ngem pasig a didigra laeng?”
18 And Micaiah said, Therefore hear ye the word of Jehovah. I saw Jehovah sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing at his right hand and at his left.
Ket kinuna ni Micaias, “Masapul ngarud a denggenyo amin ti sao ni Yahweh: Nakitak ni Yahweh a nakatugaw iti tronona, ken amin dagiti buybuyot ti langit ket agtaktakder iti makannawanna ken iti makannigidna.
19 And Jehovah said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spoke saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
Kinuna ni Yahweh, 'Siasino ti mangallilaw kenni Ahab, nga ari ti Israel tapno sumang-at idiay Ramot Galaad ket maparmek sadiay?' Ket nagduduma ti insungbat ti tunggal maysa.
20 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before Jehovah, and said, I will entice him. And Jehovah said to him, With what?
Ket adda maysa nga espiritu a nagpasango, nagtakder iti sangoanan ni Yahweh, ket kinunana, 'Siak ti mangallilaw kenkuana.' Kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, 'Kasano?'
21 And he said, I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shall entice him, and shall also prevail. Go forth, and do so.
Insungbat ti espiritu, 'Mapanak ket pag-ulbodek dagiti amin a profetana.' Insungbat ni Yahweh, 'Allilawem isuna, ket agballigikanto. Mapanka ket aramiden ti imbagam.'
22 Now therefore, behold, Jehovah has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets. And Jehovah has spoken evil concerning thee.
'Ita kitaem, pagul-ulboden ni Yahweh dagiti amin a profetam, ket inkeddeng ni Yahweh ti pannakadidigram.”
23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way did the Spirit of Jehovah go from me to speak to thee?
Kalpasanna, immasideg ni Zedekaias a putot ni Kenaana, tinungpana ni Micaias, ket kinunana, “Kasano koma a rimmuar kaniak ti Espiritu ni Yahweh tapno makitungtong kenka?”
24 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shall see on that day when thou shall go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
Kinuna ni Micaias, “Kitaem, maammoamto dayta iti aldaw nga agtarayka a mapan aglemmeng iti akin uneg a siled.”
25 And the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son,
Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kadagiti dadduma nga adipenna, “Dakayo a tattao tiliwenyo ni Micaias ket ipanyo kenni Amon, a gobernador ti siudad, ken ni Joas, nga anakko.
26 and say, Thus says the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
Ibagayo kenkuana, 'Kuna ti ari, Ibaludyo daytoy a tao ket bassit laeng a tinapay ti ipakanyo ken bassit laeng a danum, agingga a makasangpetak a sikakaradkad.”’
27 And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, Jehovah has not spoken by me. And he said, Hear, ye peoples, all of you.
Ket kinuna ni Micaias, “No makasublika a sikakaradkad, saan ngarud a nagsao ni Yahweh kaniak.” Ket kinunana pay, “Denggenyo daytoy, dakayo amin a tattao.”
28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.
Simmang-at ngarud da Ahab nga ari ti Israel, ken ni Jehosafat nga ari ti Juda idiay Ramot Galaad.
29 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle, but put thou on thy robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself, and they went into the battle.
Kinuna ti ari ti Israel kenni Jehosafat, “Manglimlimoak ket mapanak iti paggugubatan, ngem ikawesmo dagiti pagan-anaymo a kas ari.” Nanglimlimo ngarud ti ari ti Israel ket napan iti paggugubatan.
30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.
Ita, binilin ti ari ti Aram dagiti kapitan ti karwahena, a kunana, “Saanyo a darupen ti siasinoman kadagiti soldado. Ngem ketdi, ti laeng ari ti Israel ti darupenyo.”
31 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshaphat cried out. And Jehovah helped him, and God moved them from him.
Ket napasamak nga idi nakita dagiti kapitan ni Jehosafat kinunada, “Dayta ti ari ti Israel.” Nagbaw-ingda a mangdarup kenkuana, ngem nagriaw ni Jehosafat, ket tinulongan isuna ni Yahweh. Pinagsardeng ida ti Dios iti panangdarupda kenkuana.
32 And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
Ket napasamak nga idi nakita dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti karwahe a saan nga isu ti ari ti Israel, insardengda ti panangkamatda kenkuana.
33 And a certain man drew his bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, Turn thy hand, and carry me out of the army. For I am severely wounded.
Ngem adda maysa a lalaki a nangibiat iti panana a saanna a kitkitaen ti mapanana ket natamaan ti ari ti Israel iti nagsaipan ti kabalna. Ket kinuna ni Ahab iti mangiturturong iti karwahena, “Agsublita ket ipanawnak ditoy paggugubatan, ta nasugatanak iti nakaro.”
34 And the battle increased that day. However the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot against the Syrians until the evening. And about the time of the going down of the sun he died.
Kimmarkaro ti gubat iti dayta nga aldaw, ket sisasadag ti ari ti Israel iti karwahena a nakasango kadagiti taga-Aram agingga iti rumabii. Idi dandanin a lumnek ti init, natay isuna.
